OOC

O.K. RhyDin is a game, but without Rules a game can not properly be played by all. If each person participating in the game could, just on a whim, create a rule, a phrase - there would be no hope for interaction with all. No hope that two strangers were meaning the same thing. So here are the rules we hope all can like, live with, honor and follow.

NO Cross Role Playing - this means do not bring knowledge from one SN to the life of another SN. This is extremely poor sportsmanship, shows lack of Character on the Muns part and not tolerated. If you die, for what ever the reason, DIE. Come back with fresh feelings. We know this is hard, but for the sake of the game Do It. This is fantasy, but Role Playing fantasy, Please live your life as if your only chance here. Honor your misfortune in the Slave Match, Honor Match and Death Match. Become the true Slave, lose the rights from the Honor Match, or your Life from the Death Match if you enter them. In Real Life you would not have the choice or the second chance. Play with us in the same manner.

Remember, many here are under the Legal Age (16 some states 18 others). Lewd, crude, and illegal IRL - is just (if not more so) as illegal in cyber land. Always assume one is under the legal age, and act accordingly.

STARTING Xp's AND CONVERTING DICE AND Xp's

The minimum number for a new guild is 20 members to have voting rights in the council meetings, 15 member minimum to join the forum.. All guilds joining PoRU and not transfering from a recognized Forum/Council, start their members off with d20 power (*dice*). All joining Guilds will receive 100x their starting member total. These points are to be distributed to all current members only! This starting bonus is to help increase the power of the more prominent Guild Leaders (Grand Commander, Second in Command, Third in Command, Division Leaders, Legion Leaders - or what ever you label them). A guild without power in the leadership is not healthy here in RhyDin.

Those guilds joining from the UGC (and not staying in that forum/council) will now find they have a useless Guild Gold Bank. We offer them a conversion of this gold back into Experience Points (Xp's) on a one to one exchange, providing you submit the most current missive received from the UGC if claiming over 20,000 gold. (This forum does not recognize any Plus (+) weapon or spell or healing potions.) Upon receipt of a valid roster dated at least 1 week prior to Application to PoRU, and receipt of a current roster - any Xp's a member has earned to date will be honored and dice, rank and Xp's are transferable into PoRU Xp's and dice.

To guilds in other forum/councils - that leave that said Forum/Council for PoRU membership - need the same as above, and the Name of the Forum/Council you are leaving to make the necessary conversion into PoRU's dice, rank system. In all cases - Xp's from other councils will be honored in one way or another, if leaving that council. If not, if just adding PoRU to the rules you already follow, then there is no coversion. As your dice and Xp's are still in use. You must start from scratch (d20 in *dice*) in the PoRU forum/council. Your starting Xp's given at sign up is used to spread amongst existing members, as stated above, to help increase the power of the more prominent members.

Trading, loaning, giving, willing or gifting of Xp's is illegal, between members and/or guilds. If an SN dies, all goes with it... SN changes are allowed as long as the notice of the SN change was given Before Death. Then and only then may the Xp's, rank and dice move to a Mun's other SN.

ALL MEMBERS of PoRU MUST STATE IN THEIR PROFILE:

<GUILD NAME or FREELANCER> <PROFESSION> <RANK> <DICE> PoRU

When you Join

1) Restrictions: None, you may be in the PoRU and in any other forum of your choosing. But must act with respect towards PoRU and all other forums. Any one caught causing problems between forums will be immediately taken to the court system, and only a 1/2 majority vote needed to prove guilt.

2) Profile: You must have an RPers profile to be in PoRU. Your profile must include:

Their first allotment is in Xp's at the rate of 100 x the # of members listed in their Roster. There after it is in Xp's at the rate of 25 Xp's per member. Rosters to be sent on the 1st and the 16th to the President: GaiasMyth and V.P: LdyMagnola. There is a 2 day grace only, rosters not received by the 3rd or the 18th will not be processed.

Earning Xp's

Please, lets build a Forum of members that know and understand the rules AND follow them.

Guild Members - It is the responsibility of the Guild Leader to appoint someone who is responsible for the review and verification of all battle (spar) logs of their members, and the issuing of Xp's. If an HM was fought without proper TERMS of what each was to do should they lose and/or they are so ridiculas that it could not be the HM - reduce it to a standard spar and let all in the battle know why you did this. If it was a Free For All with even members - it should have been the Team Spar, disqualify it.. only issue 5 Xp's to all in it that is in your guild. If the rules are not followed, highlight (mark) the section showing the error and send to ALL in the battle, explain what they did wrong according to PoRU rules and why the Xp's can not be authorized. If the member is not aware they are not following the rules, they can not correct their actions. All Xp's earned from the battle are earned by living, so to speak, so are just awarded. We therefore hope you appoint one that will be honest, fair and reasonable to ALL your members.

Freelance Members - All battle (spar) logs need to be submitted to the Freelance Co-Odrinator: SaintOfKnW. It is their responsibility to review your logs, validate or void them, send you missives (e-mail) on why they were voided or to what the battle was reduced to and why - and send a report to allow your rank and power (*dice*) to increase. Twice a month, on the 5th and the 20th (or within two days there of) a missive will be sent informing you of your change in Rank and Power. The Freelancer Co-Odrinator is there to answer questions, teach and train in the PoRU rules and ways. Please look to them, the President, V.P., or anyone on the Welcome/Training Committee to help with any questions or problems.

To All Members - Freelancers and Guild

All DMs, AAs (where death is involved), SMs (for life), REZZ rites, and Marriages and Divorces (if the PoRU member wishes) need to be sent to the Records Clerk - Morgue Director: <open> (send temporarily to GaiasMyth). We will have a Bulletin Board (only 147 on the waiting list) and all Deaths, REZZes, life time enslavements and corresponding RMs if any, Marriages and divorces will be recorded.

Council Representation.

1) High Council: All member guilds that maintain 20 or more members will send one member to the High Council meetings. This group of people decide the course of PoRU, in the matters of Wars, New Guild memberships, etc.

1a) 20 Freelancers in active status may form a Team. All Members of This Team needs to sign a petition and submit it to the President GaiasMyth, the V.P. LdyMagnola and the Freelance Co-ordinator Kroniclef, requesting their Team have a voice in the High Council Meetings. Upon acceptance they will be designated a name (ie: freelancers Team 1) that would be their offical voice in the Council meetings.

2) The President of PoRU is GaiasMyth S/he sits at the forefront of the High Council, and when a vote comes forward to be passed or rejected, he/r vote is the most important. If the council says War, and it is not unanimous, and s/he says NO, there is no war. If the Council is Unanimous, War is declared. The President carries the voting power of One (1) Guild (other than the guild they represent in the meeting - if any), in matters other than war. Any guild OR person who disobeys he/r directive, will be placed on "Outlaw Status" til the next scheduled meeting of the High Council. Afterwards, the High Council will decide the fate of the Outlaws. Guilds on Outlaw Status receive no Xp's allowtments during this period of time. For both Guilds and Freelancers placed on Outlaw Status, all Xp's claimed earned during this period are nul and void. No increase to Dice or Rank. None are allowed to interact without possible recourse on them. Outlaws are to be avoided at all cost. Sympathizers are to offer to join the legal team to defend them, other actions are an offense to all in PoRU and cause for outlaw status on them as well.

Election of President: After 6 months (IRL) there will be Elections, to determine the next leader of PoRU. The Elections for the next President will be held in September 1998. The candidates for the election will be chosen from the Guild Leaders/Representatives of the High Council. All PoRU High Council Members may Vote for one of these Individuals, who will run the PoRU for the next 6 months. For a new President to be voted in they must receive a 2/3rds majority vote of the entire High Council, mail in votes are to be sent to the President's Secretary <open>, President GaiasMyth, V.P. LdyMagnola, and the Parliamentarian <open>, or prior President remains. If at any point a President is killed or steps down before their tenure is over they may chose their replacement who will serve until the next scheduled election. Minimum Requirements to be considered for the Position of President are 8 to 10 hours of free time daily (to do the work) and 2 gig's of free Hard Drive Space (for the files)

Verbal disrespect such as yelling, name calling and/or cursing will not be tolerated in any High Council meeting, and will be met with immediate outlaw status and/or a fine, at the discretion of the President and/or Vice President.

Impeachment is possible but only with a 4/5ths majority vote of the entire High Council membership. Mail in votes are to be sent to the Presidents Secretary <open>, President GaiasMyth, V.P.LdyMagnola, and the Parliamentarian <open>.

In cases of issues brought to a vote before the High Council, the Vote must be a 2/3rd majority of the entire High Council membership, mail in votes to be sent to those above, before can pass. If the vote is 1 away from that 2/3rds criteria, this is where the President may use their deciding vote.

There will NOT be allowed in any manner Any fights (spars, SMs, RMs, HMs, DMs, or even the AA) in any PoRU High Council Meetings, or PoRU High Council meeting rooms. Any that try, will be put on immediate outlaw status, their guilds in the PoRU forum looked to for possible fine and/or outlaw status and Court will sit at once. Any found giving out the location (hearts) of such rooms (or using them after resigning from PoRU) will be put on immediate outlaw status. All in PoRU will be told to Ignore (permanently if found guilty by the court system) and any Forums/Councils and guilds they belong to will be told of the Gross Disrespect and Satisfaction demanded.

Each guild with also have two (2) rooms off limits to AA's and other Guild aggressive actions, their recruiting room and their Guild meeting hall. Violation of this neutral ground truce will bring the AAer or offender(s) up before the Court System immediately. Logs need to be submitted at once.

COURT SYSTEM

Any member or Guild accused of any misconduct, (repeated TOSable actions or language, non RPing actions in a member room, not showing proper guild rank and dice in profile, constant use of dice unearned, to name but a few) and if after an investigation by the designated committee, these accusations appear valid, the member or Guild's GC will be approached with the complaint and demanded to resolve the issue to all's satisfaction. Shoud this fail, the member or Guild's GC (representing the guilds entire membership) will be required to participate in a Trial by Jury.

There will be 6 jurors with 2 stand bys - 3 GC's/Guild representatives that sit on the High Council, and 3 randomly selected PoRU members. The stand bys will be 1 from each category. All must be members that are not involved in the case (either personally or by guild affiliation) and in the case of the 3 (4 counting the stand by) randomly selected PoRU members NOT high ranking in ANY guild.

PoRU will have 2 each Prosecutors and Defenders on the Council. One Prosecutor will be assigned the task of Proving the guilt of the defendant. The defendant may chose one of the PoRU Defenders, or request his own Council (personal Lawyer).

The Prosecutor is responsible for gathering all the evidence and witnesses against the Defendant and presenting it at the Trial, to attempt to prove their guilt. The Defender is responsible for gathering all the evidence and witnesses for the Defendant and presenting it at the Trial, to attempt to prove their innocence.

The Defender, under a letter from the Defendant, may appear without defendant IF defendant has just cause for not appearing and the Judge, Prosecutor and Defender agree. However Defendant must before the trial, have a meeting between Defender and Prosecutor to record his "testimony". If the defendant does not appear for trial, without proper notice to the court (Judge, Defender and Prosecutor) and without at least 24 hours notice, or fails to follow through with the punishment, Executor status will be placed on that individual.

The Jury is to decide the guilt or innocence, and after the verdict decide the punishment. If for some reason the jury has been found being bribed, tampered with etc, It will be the Judges (appointed by the High Council) final decision. In cases where the Executioners would not be called out, a 2/3rds majority vote is sufficient to close the case with their verdict. In cases where the Executioners would be called to dispense of the SN, it must be a majority vote.

PoRU Executioners:

The executioners job would only come into play when the Court System has already voted on the punishment for a character, and that character refuses to obey the Courts ruling. If the high Council comes to an executioner with a problem about a member's actions (Be it stalking, cursing, not playing by the established rules, etc), and talking will not resolve the issue, then the PoRU Executioners are brought in. When this is done, only the President has the final Authority to issue the request to their office, they move out to find their intended target.

If the defendant is ordered to a DM by an executioner, they can not refuse. To do so is considered an immediate loss for them (death by DM). The Terms of the Executioner DM is: SN deletion for the loser. (the Executioner takes their position with this agreement, therefore is a term that the defendant must agree to). Period. No REZZ rites. PoRU Guild dice. To 15 rounds. As it is a PoRU attempt at an execution, PoRU rules will be in effect. All other rules for the standard DM will be in affect. Make Sure Your Guild Members Understand - if the PoRU Executioner is sent after them - by joining your guild and the PoRU - they Agree to SN DELETION, should they lose,

Fine Schedule for the PoRU (in Xp's)

Fighting a Mis-Matched Spar = (Where one person's dice, are higher than the 5 point limit): Invalidation of Spar.

Fighting an SM where Loser is not the True Slave = 200 Xp's each participant in the Match.

Fighting an HM where True Honor not an issue, (ridicules Terms just to get the XP's of the HM) = 1000 Xp's

Insubordination to a Superior Officer of PoRU = 3000 Xp's

Disrespect to the President, Vice President or Freelance Co-ordinator of PoRU = Outlaw Status and/or a fine, at the discretion of the High Chancellor.

unauthorized MASS Mailings = 10,000 Xp's to the one starting them,, and any subsequent non informative replies ((ie: stop replying to all,,,,, ie: i dont care,,,,, ie: ::grins:: ,,,,, etc))

Complaints about President or VP

ANY complaints about the President and/or the Vice President of PoRU must be made in letter form, Sent to the President, the Vice President, 1 Prosecutor, 1 Defender and to ONLY one other member of the High Council (the complaining members choice). The six will then sit and discuss the matter. If it can be resolved to ALLs satisfaction no further issue is to Ever be made of it again. If it can not then the Court system steps into play with 2 minor changes. There will be a total of 12 jurors, 6 each with 2 stand bys, and the vote Must be unanimous or the grievance is dismissed.

Suggestions

Any suggestions for addition, subtractions and/or ratification to theses rules must be presented to the President GaiasMyth and he(r) secretary <open>, in letter form, at least 15 days prior to a scheduled High Council meeting.

Correspondence to PoRU

Any mail sent to any Board Member of PoRU must be sent via regular e-mail NO "ATTACHED" (Down Load) files will be accepted. Period. Any Attached files will be ignored, deleted.

There are numerous reasons for this request, two being:

#1 - Attached (down load) files have the potential to carry a Virus

#2 - Every time one down loads, the file is placed on the Mun's hard disk creating clutter and extra work for the Mun to go and clean it up.

If the file you wish to send is too large for AOL's e-mail to handle you can either:

cut the file in half and send in two parts

OR

contact the person(s) who is to receive the mail and verify they will accept it as an "ATTACHED" file, (better keep copy of the Instant Message (IMp), proving you have obtained permission).

PoRU Board Positions and Personel

NOTE - Board Members have No Voting Rights other than the President as memtioned above. If they are also representatives of a Registered Guild, authorized by that Guild to cast its vote, it is purely by happenstance.
