Marcello Ridenow

Marcello Ridenow was, until recently, the Head of the Ridenow Domain. He was trained at Arilinn Tower where he lived for several years. Marcello had the Ridenow gift in full measure, partially developed Aldaran gift, and had excellent empathy with animals. His hobbies were Economics and reading. A new school is in the process of being erected on the Ridenow estates, to help further the education of Darkover's children. Marcello himself was overseeing the project along with help from other family members. Marcello was a feminist and therefore often a female family member is in charge when he was away on other business. Domna Cristilyn Aillard is awaiting the birth of a daughter she will name Brianna. This child is only a partial legacy of what Marcello leaves behind.

This is the rarely seen bedroom of Marci at Comyn Castle. Lavishly decorated, as befits a domain head, Marcello was always surrounded by luxury. Here, as well as his study, Marci attended to the business of running Serrais. He tried to spend as much time as he could here, as Thendara was one of his favorite places.

The Ridenow Domain has recently had to deal with the sudden death and subsequent funeral of the former Lord Serrais. Many of the prominent citizens of Darkover were in attendance as Marcello was laid to rest at the holy ground at Hali. Family members said their goodbyes, but no one will soon forget the vital and eccentric being that was Marcello Ridenow.
