In a practical sense, the guild represents tha major law enforcement
agency in Ankh-Morpork.
Each member is given a certain amount they have to steal every logged
on 12 hours. Called quota.
If your level in the guild is 100, you have to steal for at least 25 $, but you must not exceed 200 $. Stealing will be logged on your licence, you can fence stolen stuff
to either Shifty Jim or Sol in the guild.
If you exceed your quota, steal under your minimum or forget to pay
the taxes, you will be fined.

| With this licence you can 'check quota' too see the amount you
have stolen for, how much you have left to pay and if you have any fines to pay. In this room you can also 'advance' your skills.

| A = Artan - Quota office | This is the quota office where you 'pay Artan' to pay your taxes. |
| M = Meeting room | In this room you can hold an official meeting, or read the |
| log from a previous meeting. | |
| R = Receipt Office | Here you can check you receipts. |
| Aa = Aaron Gladstone - Theft Classroom | In this classroom you train your manipulation skills (co.ma). |

If you succeed you can 'plant ball on aaron' |

| You can 'attack dummy' to hear what Fulber thinks
of your attacks with daggers or knifes. You can also 'assail dummy' to launch a powerful attack or 'fling dummy' to pracitce your throwing skill. |

| There are two other persons in the guild too, Gassy Holmfirth and Sol.
Gassy Holmfirth is a specialist who will teach you a certain command once your high enough in your skills. Sol is like Shifty Jim, you can fence stolen items to him. Both of them are moving around inside the guild so you have to look for them. |
