___________Crying a Lonely River___________

My heart was in your hands, my soul belonged to you
my whole world revolved around everything that you do.
My passion flamed for every bit of loving you gave me
and now that seems so far away, baby can't you see?

I'm living in my own world, torn apart by you.
The things you always made me see, are forever blocked from view.
I never wanted to leave you
but you made me feel this way
I'm crying a lonely river
because She told you stay.

Now the days go by in cold fervor and lights dim as I walk.
I really miss those Sunday mornings when we sat around and talked.
You called my number on a whim to see if I was fine.
When I hung up that phone, baby I was cryin'.

I'm living in my own world, torn apart by You.
The things you always made me see, are forever blocked from view.
I never wanted to leave you,
but you made me feel this way.
I'm crying a lonely river
because she told You stay.

I'm learning to live in my own world, freedom because of You.
The things you always made me see never block my newer view.
I never wanted to leave you,
but you made me feel this way.
I'm no longer crying that lonely river
and I'm glad She told You stay.
I'm no longer drowning in that oh so lonely river
and I'm glad she told you Stay.
