How do I make the guard in front of Sabrina's gym move?

Hey Phil:
You have to beat Giovanni in Sliph Co. in order to make the guard move. And another one's in front of a house. Get a Poke doll from Celadon Dept. store, and once you beat Giovanni, go in the house, on the second floor there's a girl. Talk to her and she'll give you a TM teaching Mimic!
How do you get Mew without Game Genie or Game Shark?

I hope you like Japanese! If you have the Japanese version, go to Shion (Lavender) town, and take your Koiking (Magikarp). Go to the name rater, change your Koiking's name to Mew. (If Mew doesn't work, try Miyuu or Myuu) Now go and hit select on your 13th item at least 8 times. Try to change your Koiking's name again. The Pokemon will flash, Mr. Name rater won't do it, and ba-da-boom! You got Mew! I tried it in the American Version and it doesn't work.

Hey Julia,
I only know a couple. One is the classic "Seafoam Islands cheat," and one is a fishing one. The "Seafoam Islands cheat" is; Go to some place where you find rare Pokemon, from Pallet town I found a Spearow, so don't try it from there. Well, go to,say, The Safari Zone, and let your time/footsteps meter run out. Go to the Pokemon Center, heal your Pokemon, head to the Mart, and stock up on super repel(you don't have to, but you should). Then, Surf south and use the super repel. Go to Seafoam Islands, and near the place where you can go in, there's a spot where your pokemon looks like it's half on water, half on land. Go there and surf up and down. You'll find Pokemon from the Safari Zone, in this case, or from the spot you surfed from! It's rumored that it works substituting Cinnabar Islands for Seafoam Islands.
The fishing cheat is simple; press A 7 times and once more, and hold it on the last. It has an improved fishing rate! It works with holding the A button, too.
My last cheat is Improved Catching rate with Poke, Great, or Ultra balls. Hold A or hold down+B.

Not with out Game Genie =P. No, although I've heard of one cheat in Japanese. Trade with a friend after you beat Misty and meet Bill, but before you go on the S.S. Anne. Get a Pokemon that knows Cut; you'll need it. Beat Koga in Fushia City and in the Safari Zone (zone three, near the gold teeth in the secret house) get surf. Head back to Vermillion City and go On the Dock past the guy that checks your ticket thing but before the S.S. Anne. Surf around; you should find a truck. If you can move the truck, you should find Mew at level five(it learns Transform @ 10, Mega Punch @ 20, Metronome @ 30, Psychic @ 40, and can learn any hm or tm).
What is the easiest way to capture Tauros?

Tauros is one elusive Pokemon, and I've only seen it once. I would think that if you go to area 3 (the area with the secret house and the
gold teeth) and let your time run out. Surf to the Seafoam Islands, but don't go ON the land. Instead, go to to place where it looks like your Pokemon is surfing half on land, half on water, and surf up and down. It works with Cinnabar isntead of Seafoam, but you'll be attacked by creatures from the Safari Zone, and you can use your own Pokemon instead of Rocks and bait.
