NEWSLETTER 002
Bit of a strange weekend, that. Due to unforeseen events, we had to cut it short by one day. Sorry to all concerned for any inconvenience. Despite this minor set back, the weekend went pretty darn fine ? it was one of the best I have been to for a long while.
I would just like to congratulate everyone on the standard of roleplay on the weekend. In general it was excellent and the only problem that needs attention is people?s reactions to taking spell hits ? Try to do more than just shrug your shoulders whenever you are hit!!!!!!!

Recent Events in The World of Yeoloth
The Order of Midnight Flame (OMF) shocked the world with a sudden attack upon the Dwarven lands. Within a day they seized the trade routes and mines. Thousands have fled before them, nobody knows what has happened to those who have stayed.
In response to this attack, a small recon party were sent to the Dwarven lands. What they found confirmed our worst fears, the Drowe are allied with the OMF. The good news is that the party managed to retrieve plans for a major offensive, plans that should ensure a victory when the attack comes.
The plans detailed how the OMF have been carrying out dark rituals in order to summon a vast army of outer-plane beasts. They believe that these beast have emerged into The Valley. They have therefore begun their offensive. Stage one of which was to seize the trade routes. As far as we can determine phase two involves an attack upon Daylight Keep. The main stronghold of the Company of the Promised Dawn.
Also sighted within the OMF?s borders were heavily armed warriors calling themselves Knights of Burning Darkness (KBD). These warriors seemed to be immune to normal weapons. If anybody knows of a weakness to these people, please contact me immediately ? for I know of none. Five of these Knights managed to infiltrate the emperors palace. They were defeated, but it cost the lives of several Hawk knights and many palace guards.
Shortly before the attack upon the Dwarf lands a large battle force, led by General Demari Arilous, left for the Valley to investigate rumours of activity in the area. Nothing has been heard from them since. The Empire is planning on sending adventures to contact the band directly.
The Weekend
The first weekend will be held at Linnet Clough scout camp on the 23rd of June. It would be helpful if everybody could be at the site and ready to go for about 8 pm.
The weekend will consist of multiple Tavern Times (often political events held at the campsite), which are free, and adventures (extended political and/or unusual events deeply involving your character), which cost the amounts listed below.
Please note: You do not have to go on any adventures if you do not wish to, but in my experience the weekend is much more enjoyable if you do.
Board fee: £5
This pays for the site rental.
Adventure fees:
This money is used by the club to cover administration costs and to allow us to buy better resources for our members in the form of weapons and costumes. If you are a member (see later), you gain a discount on the price for the adventure. Most adventures are limited to three persons per adventure (although this is sometimes flexible to a small degree).
Early booking is required in order for us to reserve adventure places for you. YOU lose out by not booking!!

Membership fee: £5
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BECOME A MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE. Sorry about that, but I had to make it clear. Becoming a member is not compulsory, but you do gain many benefits, including discounts on your adventures (see above). You also have a free entry into the weapons draw (first draw not until third weekend), in which you could win a free latex weapon of your choice.
