One of the major characteristics of the New Testament is its focus on forgiveness. Judge not, lest you be judged. In the Lord's Prayer, Forgive me my trespasses as I forgive the trespasses of others. No forgiveness is promised, unless the Christian first forgives others. Christianity itself is summed up in Christ's act of divine generosity in forgiving mankind for his persecution and death upon the cross.

In the following articles, I will present 5 "proofs" of the truth of Christianity. They are all true real proofs, two of them Biblically true, two of them emotionally true, and one of them magically true.

In order they are:

The Garden of Eden Proof. Biblically true.

The Common Sense Proof. Emotionally true.

The God is a Bad Dude Proof. Emotionally true.

The Fundamental Laws of Magic Proof. Magically true.

The Inheritance of Ishmael Proof. Biblically true.

I present these proofs to you in the hope that they will give you some added ammunition when dealing with skeptics and those who have lost their faith.

THE GARDEN OF EDEN PROOF

The fall of man took place because man ate of the fruits of the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil.

What are these fruits? They are the fruits of judgement, shame and selfrighteousness.

When were Adam and Eve cast out of the Garden. When their behavior showed shame, one of these fruits. They tore off fig leaves, and covered their nakedness because they were ashamed.

God looked down, saw that they were ashamed. They had judged and condemned themselves because of the sexual nature that He had given them.

He cast them out of the Garden. This is what happened, this is exactly what the Bible says happened.

In their innocence before the fall. They had accepted all things as blessings from God. Their own nature, and the nature of the world God had made.

In judging themselves, in condemning their own natures, they judged and condemned the work of God. They judged and condemned God Himself. They rebelled against the wisdom of the Lord.

Having so rebelled, they were cast out of heaven. What had been blessings from the Lord became whips and pain to them.

Consider, You go out and work in the fields, you feel your blood moving, your body coming alive, the muscles under your skin move and grow. Every effort is a joy, every task a blessing. You have accepted the necessary tasks of your life as blessings and come to joy in them. You know they make you strong, give you your health, provide food for your family, and the strength you have to do them is your glory and happiness.

Then, you grow judgemental, I would rather watch TV. I don't want to. You reject them and do other things that do not make you strong or give you any real reward. When you do finally force yourself to go out and do your chores, they are a burden and a pain. You have made your own life miserable.

Then, to add to your pain and misery, you judge not only the chores, but you judge yourself. You are bad, you are lazy, you are worthless. You don't have the strength to do what you need to do.

You have taken Your life and made it into a torment, first by condemning the necessary tasks of life, and next by condemning Yourself. These are the fruits of the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. It is impossible for you to enjoy life as God intended. The fault is entirely with You.

Now, all of this comes from your own arrogance. First of all, you judge things for your pleasure. Condemning necessary tasks as beneath you, then condemning yourself for failing to do your necessary tasks. How can you be happy when you bear such a burden of conceited arrogant judgement.

A bit of humility can go a long way to cure this. If you were one with God, the necessary tasks of your life would be a joy to you. You would enjoy them, and be at peace with yourself, not condemning yourself. In such a peace, it is easy to forgive others, even when they hate you and slay you.

I am not that good, but some of the saints have been. Their examples make it clear.

There can be few tasks set before a man worse than being persecuted, condemned, humiliated, and crucified. Yet this was the task God set for Jesus. Being flesh, even as we are, Jesus felt the pain, he suffered, he even came close to despair, as on the Cross He cried out, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me."

In the end, he Begged God to have Mercy, even upon the men who had Crucified Him. "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do."

Consider, in order to do this, he had to forgive three different ways. He had to forgive those who crucified him. This is obvious. He also had to forgive himself. For could he not have called upon a legion of angels to save him. Yet he did not. In his pain he felt somehow that he must be at fault, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me." Yet he forgave himself, accepting his own nature of perfect obedience to God, not condemning himself. By forgiving those who crucified him, by not accepting the idea that he himself was wrong for obeying God, he accepted and forgave God for the pain and suffering that he underwent. He forgave God.

In this example, rejecting the fruits of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, under the ultimate pain of torture and death, he renounced and rejected original sin. Setting a clear example for mankind to follow.

In His ministry, and His death upon the cross. He is the perfect logical solution to Original Sin, the salvation of mankind. This proof shows that the New Testament is not some new unforseen thing unrelated to the Old Testament. It proves that Christ is the fulfilment of the Old testament, and indeed the Salvation of Mankind planned by the God of Man, the God of the Garden of Eden, the God Of Abraham.

THE COMMON SENSE PROOF OF CHRISTIAN SALVATION

People live their lives together, and we all know of some who seem to live only to feel superior to and better than other people.

They don't get a good feeling from life from eating a good steak dinner. Instead, they have to find fault with the cook in order to feel good. They don't enjoy the pleasure of good music, instead they have to condemn the musician as immoral in order to feel good.

These people are critics, instead of creators. God is the ultimate Creator. He loves creation, or He wouldn't have made so much of it.

These people get their spiritual fulfilment from condemning and hurting others.

Now, how long would Heaven be Heaven if God let them in. Come on. Use a little common sense, if you died and went to Heaven, and it was filled with people whose idea of fun was to put each other down, would that be Heaven. Its just common sense. God can't let people like that into heaven. They would turn it into Hell.

A Christian knows he must forgive others, because he is imperfect himself. He does not rejoice in the faults of others, even though they may give him an excuse to feel superior. Instead, he mourns for and is saddened by the faults of others.

Anyone who rejoices in others faults is selfrighteous. Such a person who has spent their life that way will try to be that way even after death. How can God let them into Heaven.

If you wish to be saved, you should mourn for others faults as though they were your own. Pray for their healing and salvation as though it were your own.

THE GOD IS A BAD DUDE PROOF

Think of God as a 350 pound Biker, in black leathers, with a beard and lots of scars. Now He has taken up the arts, you know, Bonsai Gardening, he is raising those little trees in pots.

Now you might think that this is pretty silly for a 350 pound Biker to be doing. On the other hand, He has a nice place, lots of homemade wine, and you can relax and mellow out there.

So, are you going to walk in and tell him that you saw some of his bonsai in the neighborhood and thought they were silly, or worse, a total waste of time.

Not if you want to keep your face. If you do something like that, you know he might erase your face on the nearest brick wall before kicking you back where you came from.

Now, creation is Gods Bonsai Garden. He loves every miniature rock garden every tiny tree, every small part of it with the same love that a mother has for her newborn child. To his eye, it is all perfect as He intended.

You might not see it that way, but come on. Admit it, he knows more about Bonsai Gardening than you do. So show some respect. When you condemn something in his garden as evil and beyond redemption, you spit in his face.

So, he kicks your ass right straight to hell. You cannot enter into heaven if you place your judgement above God's judgement. You have to practice tolerance, forgiveness, and love in order to get into heaven.

THE FUNDAMENTAL LAWS OF MAGIC PROOF

Wherever you look, amoung primitive and sophisticated human societies, there is a body of belief, superstition, magic, or whatever you care to call it. If you look at all these different systems, you find that they have certain things in common.

The most common of all these systems is something called the law of Similarity. Similar things are in contact in a spiritual sense, dissimilar things are separate in a spiritual sense.

Sometimes this is called the law of contagion, sometimes the law of similarity, sometimes both. No matter what you call it, this principle is universal. Every system of magic recognizes it in some form or other.

It is possibly the single most fundamental principle of magic in existence.

So let us apply this law to Christian belief in Forgiveness through the Practice of Forgiveness.

By this law, spirits who forgive and love others are in spiritual contact with other spirits who love and forgive others.

By this law, spirits who are angry and condemn others are in spiritual contact with other spirits who are angry and condemnatory.

When you die, and your spirit is no longer anchored to this world by a physical body. It will go to the place with which it has the greatest spritual similarity.

If your life has been spent in the practice of real Christianity, you will have practiced love, forgivness, and you will go to a spiritual place of love and forgiveness.

If your life has been spent in the practice of hatred, anger, condemnation and judgement, you will go to a place of hatred, anger, judgement and condemnation.

Thus, the most fundamental law of magic proves the truth of spiritual salvation by the practice of Christianity.

Interestingly, Satan is the hebrew word for "The angry one, and The Accuser" and we all know what place he is in charge of.

THE INHERITANCE OF ISHMAEL PROOF OF CHRISTIANITY

In the Old Testament, God Promises Abraham that he will give Ishmael an equal inheritance to his son by Sarah. Now, out of Jesus sprang a great spiritual inheritance. This inheritance was from Sarah's branch.

If no similar inheritance sprang from Ishmael, then either God broke his promise to Abraham, or the Christian ministry to the Gentiles is false.

If God broke his promise to Abraham, how can Christians trust him to fulfil his promise of salvation to them. How can they believe that Christianity is true.

On the other hand, if the christian minstry to the gentiles if false, then all of modern christianity which is that ministry is also false.

In either case, if God has not raised up a messianic religion out of Ishmael, Christianity is false.

Has God raised up such a religion? Well, let us look at Islam. The children of Ishmael were arabs, living in that part of the world. The religion of Islam is very similar to Christianity in many ways, in fact it is just different enough to make it into a separate inheritance and fulfil Gods promise to Abraham.

It would appear on the surface, that Islam is a messianic branch of the inheritance of Ishmael, and thus a proof of the reliability of Gods word and of the Truth of the Christian ministry to the Gentiles.

Is there a real connection between Ishmael and Islam. Well, Muhammed is descended from Ishmael. Clearly then, Islam springs from Ishmael, as Christianity springs from Sarah. The people of Mecca in fact claim descent from Ishmael and have since long before Muhammed, page 1 introduction 'Meaning of the Glorious Koran' Mentor Books published by New American Library .

Is there further proof in the Koran, the holy book of Islam. Yes, the Koran is divided into Surah's, not chapter and verse. In one ofthe Surah's, it states that Islam is a proof of Christianity and Christianity is a proof of Islam.

What about the differences between belief in Islam and Christendom? In another surah, God speaking through Muhammed says, "The distance between these two religions is for me, and me alone to Cross."

As you can see, Islam is foreshadowed in the Old Testament, and its role as proof of Christianity is stated in the Koran.

Islam is the largest, biggest, most obvious proof of the truth of Christianity in the world. Christians looking at Islam, should not hate it, nor condemn those that God has marked for the inheritance of Ishmael, instead, they should be grateful to God for this proof of their faith, and reassured of their own certain salvation through Jesus. For if God will raise up such a mighty faith simply to keep his promise to Abraham, think of how certain he is to keep his promise of Salvation through Jesus.

May God be with you all.

Childbirth and the Bible
First Assumptions -)(- Knowledge of Good and Evil -)(- Punishment -)(- A Wiser Question -)(- Virtuos Practices -)(- Male Chauvinism

The first hospital in Europe to use anaesthetic plant materials from America was burnt down by a mob or outraged Christians. This happened in Holland during the 16th or 17th century. It is documented in the biography of Rembrandt. Why did this happen? The hospital used the anaesthetic to ease a woman's pain during childbirth. Genesis states that a woman's pain during childbirth is her punishment for original sin. By easing that pain with anaesthetics, the hospital prevented the woman from suffering her ordained punishment, and thus thwarted God's will, and rebelled against God. Or so the preachers of the time preached. Here is an argument that says that their understanding of the Bible and God and His Will were wrong.

The problem with the argument used to justify burning the hospital down lies with the manner in which the bible is read. There are many problems with what passes for Christianity in America today. Heresies such as a new version of the Nicean heresy which denied that Jesus was a human being and thus that he really suffered the pangs of the flesh as a human would. Idolatries, such as worship of the bible or doctrine instead of worshipping God. Doctrinal mistakes, such as a shift of emphasis from Christianity as a saving religion focused on his sacrifice on the cross, to Christianity as a punitive religion focused on Jesus driving the money lenders from the temple. Hitler identified with Jesus driving the money lenders from the temple. Salvation will come from bearing ones own cross well, not from whipping others who have dropped theirs. This last one, belonging as it does to the body of doctrine of the Church of God the Child Abuser reflects the fault of those people who burnt that hospital to the ground.

First Assumptions -)(- Knowledge of Good and Evil -)(- Punishment -)(- A Wiser Question Virtuos Practices -)(- Male Chauvinism

First Assumptions

Logic always begins with fundamental assumptions. If you assume that God is a Child Abuser, who delights in the punishment of his children, then you interpret the Bible in a manner that justifies abusing your fellow beings. If you assume that God is a Loving Father, then you will find that every passage in the bible pretty much supports that belief, if you take the fallen nature of man into the account when you read the bible. The txt file God Sex and Gays I uploaded you is an example of understanding the bible in this manner. This then justifies you in being merciful in almost all instances, but not quite all. While we being less wise than God should choose to err on the side of mercy when doubt exists there are occasions when we can almost safely insist on some firmness, some might call it harshness in enforcing his laws.

Let us apply this to the passage in the bible concerning God's punishment of Man, Woman, and the Serpent for Original Sin. I am, by the way, using the New American Bible, approved by the Vatican September 18, 1970. Yes, I am Catholic. If you are one of those protestants who believe that the Pope is the Antichrist and all Catholics are in league with the devil, you might want to seek psychiatric help. Now in the preliminary matter to this edition there is a section providing instruction on how to read your bible. It explains the history of the bible, how it was written, and specifically states that Genesis 2, 3, 4, 1-16; 6-8; 11 1-9 are allegories and not the literal scientific truth. This includes the passages in question Genesis 3 verses 14-20. It is Genesis 3 verse 16 which states "I will intensify the pangs of your childbearing, in pain shall you bring forth children."

(By the way. I have a nitty picky problem with the entire chapter and verse numbering system of the bible. Deuteronomy specifically commands not to add to the bible. This system was invented in the late middle ages or early renaissance. It is an addition to the bible, intermixed with the real text of the bible, and therefore it breaks the laws of God. I suspect that people who place great emphasis on knowing the bible 'chapter and verse' worship the bible instead of God. I consider it however to be a minor sin, on the order of Episcopalians who eat salad with a meat fork, or Catholics who eat meat on a friday..)

So, let us begin with our basic assumptions. God loves his children. Yet, in creating the Universe, he placed in it things which could harm his children. Fire, which warms and protects us, burns us. Good and evil, are difficult matters to understand. Should God extinguish the, sun, darken its reflection in the moon, and put out the stars in the heavens, because a child puts his hand in the fire, and getting burnt says "Bad fire, fire is bad"?

First Assumptions -)(- Knowledge of Good and Evil -)(- Punishment -)(- A Wiser Question Virtuos Practices -)(- Male Chauvinism

Knowledge of Good and Evil

God did not make the rule in the Garden of Eden, eat not of the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil to keep man weak and subordinate to him. He made that rule to protect man from injuring himself. He knew that if man fell into the folly of attempting to judge Good and Evil, something that only God Himself in all Creation has the capacity to do, then would man's life become bitter and full of tears. So to protect man, God forbade that man do this thing.

So, God, in commanding man to not eat of the tree of knowledge could be likend to a father commanding his child "Do not put your hand into the fire". Then, when God pronounces the suffering man and woman shall endure because of this act, he is like a father telling his child "You have burnt your hand, now it shall pain you for days, and blister, and itch, and you shall suffer until it heals".

There is a difference between a human father and our Divine Father. The human father did not create fire. The Divine Father did create the Universe and is its motivating force. So God is, remotely, from the moment of creation, the cause of the suffering, that comes from disobeying his commandments. Yet, in order to not inflict this suffering, God might need to set aside the laws of the universe he set in motion at the moment of creation, a miracle, or allow the child to suffer. Sometimes God does miracles, more often, he allows the child to suffer, and hopefully to learn from his sins. So, God always accepting responsibility for all things in his creation, says, "I will intensify the pangs of your childbearing, in pain will you bring forth children". This is not an abusive father delighting in the punishment of his children, but a loving father explaining the cost of the sin, and accepting responsibility for creating the universe as He did. Even though he knows his children will hate him for it. Even as our children hate us briefly when we punish them.

First Assumptions -)(- Knowledge of Good and Evil -)(- Punishment -)(- A Wiser Question Virtuos Practices -)(- Male Chauvinism

Punishment

Now, because we now know that God does not rejoice in our punishment, are we justified in using any means to avoid that punishment? If a murderer knows that the court does not rejoice in his punishment, but does it as a duty to protect others and/or encourage him to change his ways, is he justified in attempting to avoid his punishment? I have to say no. God knew what He was doing when He created the Universe. I have not yet justified mercy to women undergoing the pangs of childbirth. However, if a murderer has truly changed, and will no longer murder. Are we justified in remitting or lessening his punishment? I would have to say yes. The purpose of the law is to prevent crime and the suffering it causes, not to punish. The purpose of God's law is to warn us against sin and the suffering it causes, not to punish. Punishment for its own sake is satanic, not godly. So, if the woman truly repents of original sin, we are justified in doing what we can to make her suffering less. Clearly, this justifies merciful treatment of a christian woman in childbirth.

First Assumptions -)(- Knowledge of Good and Evil -)(- Punishment -)(- A Wiser Question Virtuos Practices -)(- Male Chauvinism

A Wiser Question

However, there is a better question here. A wiser question. If a womans pain in childbirth is as natural a consequence of original sin as a childs being burnt when he puts his hand in the fire. How does it work? What is the mechanism? How does original sin produce the suffering described/pronounced by God in Genesis 3? To answer this question, it is necessary to understand what original sin is and how it works in our lives. I dealt with this in 5proofs.txt which I emailed you a copy of. Where I showed as one of 5 proofs of Christianity that Jesus death on the cross was the perfect logical answer to original sin. Proceeding from this understanding, we can analyze the punishments pronounced by God in Genesis 3.

A woman or a man judges Good and Evil on a very personal and ungodly level. If it hurts, it is evil, if it feels good it is good. This applies to those who attempt to use Gods law to judge good and evil as well as those who attempt to use other standards. There, being disagreed with hurts their vanity, and thus those who disagree with their interpretation of Gods law are evil, and those who agree with them and thus flatter their vanity are good. Humanity has never done a good job of judging good and evil because they are not well suited to it. People judge pain, all pain, to be evil. However, there is pain and there is pain. Pain is basically an unaccustomed stimulation of the nerves. Any feeling, unprepared for, unexpected, or unfamiliar will at first be interpreted as pain. Lifting weights will produce a feeling of pain when you press your muscles further than they are used to. If you stop at the first moment your muscles tell you you are working hard, you will never build much muscle. Experienced weightlifters learn to differentiate between a good burn, and real pain caused by damage like a torn muscle or ligament. At first, judging in ignorance, all is pain. After a while, a good burn, which they have learned means they have gotten a good workout becomes a real pleasure, though it is quite painful when first experienced. I am not pretending that it is as intense as childbirth, but the paralel remains valid.

A woman undergoing childbirth is in a similar situation. She is doing something that she is designed by nature to do. Under normal circumstances, it will not produce lasting physical injury, and will provide her with great joy, a child, and participation in bringing new life into the world. Yet the physical sensations involved in childbirth are intense, unfamiliar, and thus painful. More than this, in judging all 'pain' to be evil, and bad, she fears it intensely. This fear makes her tense, and makes her resist and fight the natural process. As her muscles strive against the sensation, making her resist the process, and strive not to open enough to bring the child into the world, she intensifies and worsens the pain she would have felt otherwise. "I will intensify the pangs of childbirth, in pain will you bring forth children" becomes a very literal description of what is happening here. The intensified pangs of childbirth, her terror and pain in the process come from her commitment to original sin, and her insistence upon judging anything which hurts as evil.

First Assumptions -)(- Knowledge of Good and Evil -)(- Punishment -)(- A Wiser Question Virtuos Practices -)(- Male Chauvinism

Virtuous Practices

Christianity in recent years has lost many virtuos practices, counting your blessing has gone out of style, a childrens game where you attempted to find a reason for all things to be considered blessings from God is not much practiced anymore. All of these things helped in living a christian life. In helping a woman accept and overcome the pain of childbirth without condemning it as evil, we are actually helping her resist original sin. Providing comfort, so she can relax more, and fight the process less, easing the pain, so it does not overwhelm her good intentions are not attempts to thwart Gods punishment, but to help her over come original sin. To help her experience childbirth without judging it as evil, to help her live a more Godly life. Thus, indeed, we are justified in using anaesthetics in easing a woman's pangs of childbirth where necessary. More, in some cases, where medical problems exist, much of the pain of childbirth may be caused by real physical problems. In such cases, the pain is not part of God's punishment for original sin, and should be treated as necessary. Too much emphasis on not thwarting God's punishment would lead to erring on the side of harshness, and it is better to err on the side of mercy than on the side of harshness.

So with this understanding of this passage of the bible, we can understand that lamaze training, comfort, the presence of loving supporting friends and family, and anaesthetics to help ease the pain if necessary to help her overcome her fear of the process, and help her to rejoice in the miracle of childbirth, to not judge it as evil; aid her in resisting original sin in her own life, and thus to be a better christian. We are indeed justified in easing her pain in childbirth. The presence of women who have experienced childbirth themselves, and hopefully have handled it well, will probably be of greater psychological aid in this matter than the presence of men, who, no matter how brilliant their intellectual understanding of the process, have never really experienced it.

Childbirth, however, should be understood as something planned by God as part of life. Something that women are meant to experience. As such, deadening it completely, is probably not a good idea, and the overuse of anaesthetics is counterindicated. I suspect that there are ministering angels of God, who may be present there, if a woman is prepared to receive them, who will help her share in the joyous occasion of new life entering the world. Making the pangs of childbirth into something very different from the terrifying pain that women today experience. Such angels, however, cannot minister to a woman who rejects them by condemning her experience as evil.

First Assumptions -)(- Knowledge of Good and Evil -)(- Punishment -)(- A Wiser Question Virtuos Practices -)(- Male Chauvinism

Male Chauvinism

It is worth noting that God did not just punish women for original sin. He also pronounced punishment upon men. Man's labor to live and find food in the world is his punishment for original sin. If it is wrong to offer comfort to a woman undergoing the pangs of childbirth, then it is equally wrong to offer comfort to a man while he suffers his punishment for original sin. If it is wrong for a husband to wipe his wifes brow with a damp cloth to comfort her during childbirth, it is equally wrong for a woman to bring food to her husband while he labors in the field, thus thwarting Gods punishment of man for original sin. I doubt very much that the pastor who preached that it was a sin to use anaesthetics to ease a woman's pain in childbirth preached equally that it was wrong for a woman to provide aid and comfort to her man in his suffering in the world. The logic that justified burning the hospital is thus quite male chauvinistic. More, it shows a lack of faith in a loving Father. It is more like a child, who being punished by his father for some wrong he has commited goes and pushes his sister in the well because he, not understanding his fathers reasons, feels abused and wants to abuse someone else.

Men and women should offer aid and comfort to one another, for they are meant to love one another as parts of themselves. God commands this, he does not forbid it.

This then is my criticism of the logic that justified burning that hospital to the ground.

I am a cranky old man. Like most cranky old men, I know that the world is all messed up, and that everybody else in the world is wrong. Since I am the only person in the world who is right about anything , it is clearly my duty to tell the world how wrong it is. The subject of this posting is God, Sex, and Gays. However, I cannot jump right into the question of God and His attitude towards Homosexuality, because you people out there are so ignorant about God and what he wants, that I am going to have to spend the first part of this paper introducing God to you. Then, since You are obsessed with Sex, and God is not, what you believe God thinks about sex is completely out to lunch. So, I am going to have to explain what God really thinks about sex. Then, and only then, will it be possible to say anything sensible about God, homosexuality, and society.

Meshach

Let's begin with a meshach, Ooops, I mean a parable. This is not a traditional talmudic meshach, like any person who has something to illuminate about God, I have a perfect right to make up my own. Once upon a time, there were two families. Both of them had a son. At some times in their lives, both of these children were punished by their fathers. Being neighbors, they were friends. When they were punished, they could both get together and agree that their Fathers were mean and awful people. That all those rules, that their Fathers made them obey were meaningless, arbitrary, and only gave their Fathers an excuse to punish them. These two children had two different Father's. One of their Father's was a just and fair man, who only punished his son to keep him out of worse trouble in the future. One of their Father's was cruel, and abusive, and indeed made rules for no reason other than to exact unthinking obedience from his son. This second Father even made rules that his son could not possibly keep, so that he could punish his son for his own pleasure. These two sons grew up. The one with a just, fair, firm, but loving Father grew up to one day realize how his Father's discipline had been a sign of love. He grew up to be much like his father, fair, reasonable, but firm when necessary. The one with a cruel and abusive father grew up to be like his father, confusing cruelty and hatred with love, persecuting and abusing those he loved. Both of these sons said that they loved their Father. One truly did love his Father, appreciating his Father's wisdom, and grateful for all his Father's gifts even the discipline he was under as a child. The second believed that he loved his Father, but in his heart he really hated him, and hated what his father had made him into, and hated himself for being like his father. This is of course a true story, you could pick families like this out of any city in this country. In God's family, however, there is only one Father. Yet, many people believe that God the Father is a cruel, arbitrary, abusive, Father, a Father who makes meaningless laws, and useless rules, so that he has an excuse to punish his children in hell for all eternity. Is that what you believe? Do you believe that God the Father is a cruel and arbitrary psychopath, a child abuser, that his rules and laws are not created to guide his children to have better lives, but rather to demonstrate his absolute authority and his right to punish his children for his own pleasure. Do you believe that God the Father is just, fair, and loving, and that his laws are meant to help mankind. Which God the Father does your pastor or priest teach you to believe in when you go to church? Jesus said, "The law was made for man, not man for the law". Jesus is perfectly clear upon this matter, concern for the health and wellbeing of God's children comes before the letter of God's Law.

Your Choice

By your choice of which God the Father you believe in, you choose what kind of person you will be, and what kind of people your children will grow up to be. If you emphasize arbitrary obedience to authority, and emphasize that authority is justified by power, whether it is right or wrong, you are not really doing the will of God. God created us to be his loving companions, grateful to him for the gift of creation, and the gifts of wisdom, guidance and love that He showers upon us. In order to be truly grateful, we must appreciate his wisdom, and believe that what he does and tells us is not arbitrary, but even when we do not understand it, is done for our good, in his love for us. When children grow up, they come to appreciate the love of a good Father. I think God has been waiting a long time for humanity to grow up and appreciate Him. You must make a choice, when you read the bible, the torah, the talmud, the koran, what God you believe in. If you truly believe in a psychopathic child abuser, who makes arbitrary and meaningless rules, you are not worshipping or serving the true God. If you believe in a loving and benevolent God the Father, you are worshipping and serving the true God. In this choice that you make, you are also choosing what lessons you can learn from God and the books which record a history of His relationship with humanity.

Seeking Wisdom

If you reading the laws of God, because you know that they are full of wisdom, you will be looking for wisdom and guidance in your own life. You will not be looking for excuses to punish others. You will know, that just as when a child breaks his Fathers's wise rules, the child invites worse things to happen to him, so when a child of God breaks his Father's rules, that child will likely suffer from illness, disease, broken relationships, or other evil fate that God ordained those rules to protect him from. You will know that you do not need to punish others for breaking God's law because such folly brings its own punishment. You will be sorry for those who do not keep the laws of God, because you know that breaking the laws of God, brings increased risk of ill health and unhappiness. You will not be eager to punish those who do not follow God's law, any more than you are eager to punish someone who drinks too much. You will instead desire to teach, enlighten, and convert, not by force, but by example.

Sodom and Gomorrah

If on the other hand, you believe in God the Child Abuser, who makes rules so that he can have an excuse to punish his children, then when you read the books of God, you will not be looking for wisdom and guidance in your own life, but justification to hate, condemn and punish others, as you believe God teaches you to do. You will not believe that the law was made for man, because you will be destroying man for the sake of the letter of God's law, and you will not be a Christian, no matter how often you tell the world you are one. How many of you go every sunday to attend the Church of God the Child Abuser? How many of your pastors and priests preach the doctrine of God the Child Abuser from their pulpits? How do you think God feels about being called a Child Abuser every sunday by millions and millions? One of the most telling examples of the almost limitless love, charity, tolerance and forebearance of God is in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. It is often cited as an example of Gods terrible punishment of sinners. It is that, but it is also an example of how far God will allow people to travel down the path of sin before he will punish them. It is also an example of how far God will go to protect the innocent while he punishes the guilty. In the story, the servants of god appear to Abraham and tell Abraham of the coming punishment of Sodom and Gomorrah which will occur because of the terrible outcry against them that is coming up to God in Heaven. Abraham argues with God, to save the innocent before punishing the guilty. Together, Abraham and the servants of God travel into Sodom, and stay with Lot. A mob gathers, seeking to abuse the servants of God. Lot offers the mob his own daughter. They refuse the offer and insist on attacking the servants of God. Based on this, God takes Lot and his family out of the town, and destroys the cities.

What brought God's servants down from heaven? The terrible outcry that was reaching God. What did God see in town that made Him decide to punish the town? Was it irreverence for his servants? Or was it something else? God makes this perfectly clear at the beginning of the story. God's servants do not say, "We are going to punish Sodom and Gomorrah because they do not reverence God." They say, "We are going to punish Sodom and Gomorrah because of the terrible outcry against them". What then did they see in town that confirmed this outcry. To understand this we must look at what the townspeople did. Including Lot. Lot offers his virgin daughter up to be gangraped and possibly brutally murdered by a raging mob. The mob is not outraged by this suggestion, not disgusted, but accepts it as a pretty normal thing. Here we have a town where the average citizen believes that they can gangrape strangers passing through, and innocent children to death for a normal evenings pleasure. This is the behavior that the servants of God witnessed. This behavior is what caused the terrible outcry in heavan against Sodom and Gomorrah, and brought God's punishment down upon them. It was not the irreverence for the servants of God, but the sins of the cities that caused the punishment. What about Lot? He certainly does not seem very virtuous to us. He accepts the right of the mob to rape and murder whomever it pleases. He is only afraid of the wrath of God. So afraid that he offers his own daughter to the mob to save the servants of God. His only virtue is the fear of God. Fear of God, we are told is the beginning of Wisdom. Nowhere are we told that it is the totality of wisdom, or the only wisdom. Indeed, those who fear God and obey him are better off than those who completly ignore his laws. Those who obey him in love and faith, are better off still. Faithful loving obedience to God, is superior to fearful obedience to God. In this sad story we have a picture of a humanity whose only idea of right and wrong, is that whoever is strong enough can do whatever they want. The only reason such people can imagine for obeying God is that they fear him. This is fallen mankind. Working towards the eventual salvation of humanity, God has to use what little he can find. In this case, finding no virtue, no morality, no compassion, all he can use in mankind is their fear of Him. So he uses it. God will do what he can to save mankind.

Abraham an Example for Us

Where in this story is the evidence that God wants more from humanity than fearful obedience. It is of course in the actions of Abraham. Abraham is God's most blessed servant in the world, far more important than Lot. His actions provide a much better guide to what God wants from his people than Lot's do. Abraham argues with God. Abraham gets God to agree to check out the towns and rescue any innocent people before punishing them. God prefers a servant who argues with him for justice and mercy, before a servant who only fears and obeys him. Abraham never argues with God. When God requires a sacrifice, Abraham assumes that he requires Abraham's own son, God has to send a ram breaking through the brush to get Abraham to make the proper sacrifice, and save Abraham's son. God at this time in history has to spend a lot of his time keeping his servants from murdering their children in His name. Here in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham argues with God. What spirit moved Abraham to do that. Only God's own spirit. So that here in this record of God's punishment we have witness that God desires humanity to argue even with him for justice and salvation of the innocent. God goes way out of his way to make this point, making his own best servant argue with him to make this point. I think we should pay attention to it. At this time, in the old testament, God is dealing with fallen mankind. They can only imagine and conceive of God the Child Abuser. They are incapable of understanding God the loving Father. Fear of God is the only tool that God can use to lead them to a better life. But even here, we can plainly see that God's plan for humanity is more merciful than the people he is dealing with can understand. If you or I were presented with a town like Sodom and Gomorrah, and we knew, as God surely did of their Guilt, would we be as merciful as God, and use their necessary punishment as an example illustrating his desire that we should always protect the rights of the innocent before punishing the guilty. Or would we have just nuked them and let God sort em out?

Jesus Example

Later, in the New testament, in Jesus death on the cross, we find the emphasis on God's mercy and love even greater. Jesus asks God to forgive even the guilty, because they do not know what they do. Whether you accept Jesus as the son of God, as Christians do, as a prophet of God as Islam does, or as a great teacher, as most Jews do, you must admit that he was doing God's work. In dying to emphasize forgiveness, in teaching that you must love your brother as yourself, he clearly shows Gods emphasis on mercy and love. In his ministry, he consistently shows that God places the good of his children before the letter of his law. Here we see a completely consistent tapestry depicting God as a loving Father, trying to help children who insist that he is an abusive Father. I do not believe in God the Child Abuser, I believe in God the loving Father. I know that God prefers tolerance and charity to those who break his laws. I know that God only tolerates zealous punishment of those who break his laws, because he desires to give even the zealot a chance for salvation, and because occasionally it can be used as a tool to accomplish good. This then is God, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God who sent Jesus to the earth to accomplish the salvation of mankind. This is my God, and I am his servant. I refuse to accept the doctrine of God the Child Abuser, and will never become a part of the Church of God the Child Abuser. The doctrine of God the Child Abuser came out of the time of the fall of man before God had had much time to work through Abraham and his inheritance. It comes out of a time when Satan was nearly completely triumphant in the world, and it is the way that Satan desires mankind to see God. Satan desires mankind to see God as an arbitrary, cruel, and abusive father, and Satan desires to destroy humanity's faith in the wisdom of Gods will and guidance.

God and Sex.

Now that I have introduced you to God, I am prepared to talk about sex. People have sexual natures. God does not. People are obsessed with sex. God is not. People tend to think that the way they see the world is the only way to see the world. Since people are obsessed with sex, they think that sex is the most important thing in the world. So people think that sex is the most important sin in the world. There is no evidence in the bible to believe that God sees it this way. Any psychologist would tell you that people who are obsessed with something are inclined to think it is more important than it really is. So, any psychologist could tell you that people probably overestimate the importance of sex as a sin. Any person with a lick of common sense could tell you that people as a general rule think sexual sins are more important than God thinks they are. What about the big ten, does sex even make it into the list of the ten commandments? Some people would say yes. Thou shalt not covet they neighbors wife. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Are the sins here sex? Covetousness is also applied to the neighbors land and livestock, etc. Adultery is a betrayal of the love and trust of your closest partner in life. Greed and betrayal appear to be the sins, not sex. There is really no proof that sexual sins even make the top ten in God's list. I think its safe to say, considering humanity's obsession with sex, and God's apparent indifference to it that God does not really think sex is in itself sinful. After all, God created sex. However, fornication is definitely a sin. Sex cannot clearly be considered a sin, but fornication definitely can. What is the difference between fornication and sex? Clearly there is one.

Marriage and Fornication

St.Paul makes this clear when he says, "If you desire a woman, then you should marry her so as not to commit fornication." I don't remember the exact words, you can look it up. That's the essence. Clearly, sex as a part of marriage is not the same thing as fornication. On the other hand, we can guess that the sin of sodom and gomorrah included fornication. What was happening in Sodom and Gomorrah again? Oh, yeah, the people there thought that gangraping little girls to death was a pleasant way to spend the evening. I think we can all agree that's a sin. So, we have these two examples in the bible. Sex in a loving marriage is not a sin, sex as an act of violent and murderous aggression is a sin. That's pretty clear. Then, there is this huge grey area. God tolerates all kinds of things, much of which is clearly against the laws expressed in the torah, without doing anything at all about it. However, in another case, where the tribe of benjamin gangrapes a concubine to death, he raises up the other tribes and almost exterminates the tribe of benjamin. Look it up, you can find it. Clearly, sex as an act of violent predation and murder is a sin. This is fornication. Loving caring sex, sex that is part of a loving caring relationship, is not fornication, and nowhere does the bible clearly show that it is a sin, in fact the lesson of the bible seems to be that sex under such circumstances is clearly not a sin. Well, then, lets have lots of casual sex as long as we love and care for our partners, what's the problem.

Casual Sex

Well, casual sex tends to lead you to look at your sexual partner as an object to be used for your pleasure without real concern for their happiness and wellbeing. This is dangerously close to fornication. Casual sex is far more likely to lead you into sin, than sex as part of a loving and caring relationship. Marital sex, especially marital sex sanctified by religious faith, and sound christian teaching about love and respect within a marriage is far less likely to be sinful than any kind of casual sex. So, have sex with your marriage partner, rejoice in it, and be grateful to God for this blessing. Always find ways to show your appreciation and respect for your sexual partner in your relationship. If your sexual relations with your partner are a source of satisfaction and love between you, sex is not a sin, it is a mitzvah, a good deed, something good that you do for and with another person. Finally, if your sex is so good that you are truly grateful for it, and can truly offer heartfelt gratitude to God for this blessing in your life, it is not a sin, but comes close to being an act of praise to God for the wonder, glory, and beauty of his creation. Make sure you thank Him for it next time you count your blessings.

The conclusion here is, sex is not such a big deal to God as it is to you. However, sex as an act of violent destruction against another human being seriously irritates God a lot.

God, Sex, and Homosexuality

Point one, God is not as impressed with sex as a sin a people are.

Point two, God is not eager to punish, but to help his people, and consistently places the health and happiness of his children before the letter of His law.

Conclusion, God probably does not care very much about homosexuals who cannot be anything else, and is as likely to forgive their sins as he is the sins of any christian. As long as their sex is not an act of emotionally or physically destructive violence against their partners.

Some people who call themselves christians will say that this is heresy. That I have no right to underestimate the importance of homosexuality as a sin. That the law of God requires the death penalty for homosexuality and that this clearly shows that God thinks it is an important sin. Well, I would find these arguments more impressive, if these so called christians ever made any effort to obey the law of God themselves. Since they break the law of god three of four times every day by the time they get to work, and break the law of God several hundred times every week with complete indifference, and have absolutely no intention of ever trying to keep God's Law in their life, I find it sort of hard to take them seriously.

The Law of God

What am I talking about? I am talking about the Law of God. It is also called Mosaic Law. It is the law by which orthodox jews try to live their lives, and it is the law that Christians believe they are licensed to ignore by the teaching of St.Paul, and the dream of St.Peter. This is the law which says to always wear a hat, to never eat pork, to never cook a lamb in its mother's milk, etc. It covers in detail, every aspect of life that a people like the Hebrews needed guidance in. It is detailed, and all encompassing, and you can never hope to obey it unless you live under the guidance of a Rabbi who has devoted his entire life to studying and understanding it.

Christians and the Law

Christians ignore it as a matter of course. Christians break 90% or more of God's law every day. More than this, christians have absolutely no intention of ever trying to keep any of the 90% of God's laws that they break. Christians have no intention of even trying to live less sinful lives. They have a license to sin, as long as they judge not lest they be judged, as long as they love their brothers as they love themselves. Right on. The punishment for eating a bacon cheeseburger in a Godly country would amount to being whipped to death. I believe it would be 5 times 40 lashes for eating pork, and 5 times 40 lashes for eating meat with dairy products. That is 400 lashes, delivered by a strong and religious man, who is outraged by this sacrilege against the Law of God. This would kill most people. The Law of God, when enforced without mercy, tolerance, charity, and compassion can be interpreted to justify the death penalty for virtually any action. Jesus tells us that the law was made for man, not man for the law. Jesus died on the cross to emphasize the importance of forgiveness, even of the guilty. Jesus broke the law of God himself when he gathered food on the sabbath, placing the health and needs of man before the letter of God's law. This is the teaching of Jesus, that the health and well being of people is more important than the letter of God's law.

Those who read the Law of God seeking justification for the persecution of others are not following the teachings of Jesus. These socalled christians are not christian in any sense of the word. The requirements of christians, that they love others as they love themselves, that they judge not lest they be judged, these fundamental christian requirements are the two things that these socalled christians simply cannot bring themselves to do. These people are not christian. Any honest person who reads the bible can tell you that.

There is no justification for believing that the sin of homosexuality cannot be forgiven, and that the sin of eating a bacon cheeseburger can be forgiven. Some socalled christians will say that forgiveness of sins depends upon repentance, and not repeating those sins. This is an important teaching. It is important that the church and religious leaders should lead their flocks to live better and moe virtuous lives. In order to do this, they must emphasize the importance of avoiding and not repeating sin. However, christianity is based upon the idea that sins which cannot be avoided will be forgiven, if forgiveness of others is also practiced. People are not likely to give up bacon cheeseburgers, and gay people are not likely to become straight. Evidence is coming to light, that homosexuality is not a choice, but a birth defect. A crippling birth defect which makes it impossible for the homosexual to have a normal family, home and children. It may not be a sin which can be avoided, or a choice which is made. If that is true, and if eating bacon cheeseburgers is a sin which can be avoided, which is worse, homosexuality, or eating a bacon cheeseburger. The homosexual has no choice, if the person eating the baconcheeseburger has a choice, who is sinning more. Do you believe in God the Child Abuser, or God the Loving Father. If the law against homosexuality cannot be kept by some people, don't you think that God the Loving Father would forgive it? If you don't believe that, are you not worshipping God the Child Abuser? A god who makes rules that cannot be kept so he has an excuse to punish his children?

Salvation for Homosexuals

I believe in God the Loving Father, and I reject the doctrine of God the Child Abuser, and therefore, I believe in the possibility of salvation for homosexuals, even if they persist in a homosexual lifestyle. Just as I believe in the possibility for salvation of people who insist on eating bacon cheeseburgers. Some socalled christians would say that it is rediculous to compare eating a bacon cheeseburger to homosexuality as sins. They would say that it is clear to anyone that homosexuality is a worse sin than eating a bacon cheesburger. That's interesting. What is it that makes it so clear? Is eating a bacon cheeseburger not a sin because everyone does it? In Sodom and Gomorrah everyone was a rapist and murderer, but the fact that everyone did it didn't keep it from being a sin. Are you wiser than God, so you can pick and choose from His Law which sins are important and which ones aren't? How can you know? How can you believe you know? How can anyone be so arrogant that they believe they are wiser than God? These socalled christians who preach that homosexuality is a worse sin than eating pork are not teaching obedience to God. They are not trying to get people to obey God's Law, they are trying to get people to mindlessly obey their interpretation of God's Law. They are trying to get people to accept their choice of which parts of God's Law is important and which parts can be ignored. They are not trying to teach you to obey God, they are trying to put themselves in place of God in your lives.

Bacon Cheeseburgers

Let's talk about the sin of eating a bacon cheeseburger. This sin will almost certainly be forgiven, Jesus said that what comes out of a man's mouth does more harm than what he puts in it. Of course, that could also be interpreted as guaranteeing forgiveness for oral sex. As we have seen, people probably overestimate the importance of sex as a sin in the eyes of God. Still, let us talk about the sin of eating a bacon cheesburger. First, you have the sin of eating dairy with meat. The bible says to not cook the lamb in its mother's milk. You can almost hear the outrage in God's voice when you read that passage. Think about it, you are taking a mother's milk the essence and symbol of motherly love and using it as a weapon to kill and cook her child. You are perverting love into a weapon of murder and death, and devouring the results for food. By eating such food, you are saying that you take your nourishment, your life itself from the perversion of love into a weapon of torment and death. It is difficult to imagine a more evil or perverse act. It is, spiritually, very close to fornication and the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah. In fornication, sex which is supposed to confirm and strengthen love is perverted into an act of degradation and violence. When eating meat with dairy, maternal love is twisted into a weapon of murder and torment. In both cases, love is perverted into a weapon to harm others. They are almost the same thing. Can you really say that mere homosexual sex, an act of love and caring between two people who need and care about each other, is a worse sin than that?

Then, there is the bacon. God has forbidden both jews and islamics to eat pork. Apparently he thinks its an important rule. I wonder why. Did you know that human flesh does not taste like chicken? Human flesh tastes like pork. Among cannibal peoples, human flesh is frequently referred to as long pig. Biochemically, pigs are the closest to humans of any animals normally slain for food. If you like pork, you like the taste of human flesh. What does that say about you as a human being? Some say that the naval custom of serving pork as the first meal of a voyage is a survival of an old pagan custom of human sacrifice before a voyage. So there you are, combining ritual cannibalism with the perversion of love into a weapon of torment and death, and using this as food. Saying that you draw your life and nourishment from this kind of pure evil. When you think about it, it is difficult to imagine a more evil, a more perverse, a more degrading act than eating a bacon cheeseburger. How can anyone pretend that homosexual sex is worse than that? But you didn't know any of this did you? You never thought about it. You got up every day, broke 90% of God's Law without thinking about it, and with no intention at all of ever reforming yourself. God can forgive you for that. If you follow Jesus teaching. Love others as you love yourself, judge not lest you be judged. You love yourself enough to hope that God will forgive your sins, Love others enough to hope that God will also forgive their sins. Do not seek excuses to judge and condemn others, lest you make it necessary for God to judge and condemn you.

Judgement of Sin

Let us say that someone who insisted on the death penalty for homosexuality, and who ate bacon cheeseburgers stood before God for final judgement. What can Jesus say in his defense? Satan will say, "This one is mine. He condemned others, with no thought for his own sins. He rejoiced in and insisted upon their persecution". What can Jesus say, except, "How can I save you, when you have never obeyed me. You obeyed those who claimed to speak in my name, but they never taught you to practice what I taught." The bible has a few words to say about the shepherds of Jesus flock who mislead their sheep. Pastors and priests should read that and look to their own salvation. The bacon cheeseburger is a good example of why christians should hold close to Jesus teaching. God is wiser and more knowledgable than man. His law is mysterious to humanity, His reasons beyond our understanding. Those sins he will condemn for, and those he will forgive are not something that we can know beyond doubt. Thus, our forgiveness does not hinge upon our perfect adherence to the letter of God's Law, but upon our willingness to forgive others as we hope to be forgiven ourselves.

When can a Christian Punish

This being the case, when can a christian punish. Punishment is part of our society. It cannot be done away with completely. There are murderers, rapists, brutality and ugliness always present. Christians should not seek to take the law into their own hands and persecute for religious reasons. Christians should never rejoice in the suffering and punishment of another, but always regret their pain, even when it is necessary. Christians should require punishment of others only where it is necessary to prevent harm to the innocent. Punishment should as much as possible be used to teach, and not simply to hurt. Punishing to hurt as payback for hurts done is vengeance and not Christian. This is a sin, it may be unavoidable, but it should be repented. Homosexual relations between two people who love each other do not meet any of the circumstances under which Christians are justified in seeking punishment. Christians who insist upon the persecution of others for moral reasons without any clear and present need to protect the innocent are in clear danger of eternal damnation.

The Gay Community

At the beginning of this paper, I said everyone was wrong. I have explained why I think the Christian Right is Wrong. Now I will explain why I believe the Gay Community is wrong. What the Gay Community seems to be seeking is a license to engage in the unrestrained sexual harrassment and abuse of straight people. I know, I know. Gays will say that that is rediculous, just as Christians will say that they do obey the Law of God. Gays have no more idea of what they are asking for, than Christians have of what they are doing when they eat a bacon cheeseburger. Gays are apparently born with a birth defect, which unfortunately carries with it a very strong social and personal stigma.

Social Stigmas

I am sorry for them, but, social stigmas exist for a reason. They may not be very nice things, but they are important parts of society, or they would not exist. You have to understand why a social stigma exists, before you start blindly changing it and messing with the fabric of society. Let's assume that there was no social stigma attached to homosexuality. Two shy young heterosexuals, one male and one female work around the same office. A gay man also works at the office. There is no social stigma attached to homosexuality. So the young heterosexual is frequently seen chatting with the gay man. The girl, watching anxiously for signs of the young man's interest in her, concluded from this that he is gay. When the young man approaches her, she courteously rebuffs him because of her mistaken impression. Both young people have their hearts broken, because the young man accidentally sent false signals about his sexual nature, because there was no social stigma attached to homosexuality. Human beings are very sensitive in the area of personal relationships. Sending false signals about ones sexual orientation, or even signals that are ambivalent enough to be misinterpreted can ruin your life. One of the things that the social stigma attached to homosexuality does is protect the rest of society from this kind of confusion. It's hard enough to have a relationship in america today without being required to send false or ambivalent signals about your sexual orientation. People working together, don't really know each other well enough to know, and they look for clues. They don't want to be to open in their interest, they want something to go on. This is the way people are about personal relationships. Human beings have a right to be clear about their sexual orientation. If this means avoiding the company of known homosexuals, to avoid any confusion in the eyes of others, how can you force them to not do that. You can ruin their life, by insisting that they accept you. Even if there is no stigma attached to homosexuality at all.

Sexual Harassment.

The current set of rules concerning sexual harrassment are a tribute to Homophobia. Homo, in greek means man. The current set of rules concerning sexual harrassment are a tribute to womens fear of men, or Homophobia. Men fear homosexuals for exactly the reason that women fear men. Women are sensitive to sexual harrassment, because they are the natural objects of mens sexual desire. Men are sensitive to sexual harrassment from homosexuals, because they are the natural objects of the homosexuals sexual desire. Straight men have just as much right to be protected from sexual harrassment as women do. Anything that when done by a straight man to a woman is considered sexual harrassment, would be sexual harrassment if if were done by a gay man to a straight man. That's all there is to it. That is the emotional heart of the matter. To many women, being touched without permission, being forced to listen to personal remarks, or sexually oriented remarks by a straight man feels like sexual harrassment. The law protects them from this. The law must also provide straight men the same protection from gay men. Nothing else is fair, and nothing else will work. The emotional dynamics of the situation make this true. If this protection is not provided by a social stigma attached to homosexuality, then it must be provided by legal protection from sexual harrassment.

Gay Marriage.

Heterosexual marriage is a special institution widely recognized as one of the fundamental building blocks of our society. Because it is considered such an important institution, it is given special status with regards to tax and social law. Gay marriage is not one of the fundamental building blocks of our society. Because it cannot be considered to be such an important institution, it does not deserve or merit the same special status with regards to tax and social law. I have no objection at all to gays having ceremonial and social recognition of their special relationships. I don't have any objection to Gay weddings in regular churches. However, a gay relationship is not the same thing as a traditional heterosexual relationship, and call it marriage, and trying to treat it the same is nonsense. Marriage is a social institution with specific functions within our society. Gay marriage by its very nature is not the same thing and cannot be considered the same thing.

Gays in the Military.

I spent 20 years in the military, and I only knew one person I was sure was gay. He told me so. He was also christian, and baptist, and tore his heart up because he couldn't help being gay. To me, gays in the military was never an important thing. I am far too lazy to worry about a persons race, religion, sex or sexual orientation. The only important thing to me is how well a soldier or sailor does their job. One day, however, one of my soldiers came up to me. He lived in Waco, half his family lived north of the border, and half to the south of it. When he visited Mexico, people there made fun of his uniform because of all the publicity about gays in the US Military. This upset my soldier. He was proud to be an American, and proud to be in the US Army. I agreed with him that it was regrettable. So he had his feeling hurt, so what. Well, it shows something. The stigma against homosexuals is not limited to the USA. Whenever we go to war, the people we are fighting will probably have strong religious and moral convictions concerning the wrongness of Homosexuality. Soldiers who might be willing to surrender to the United States Army, might not be willing to surrender to a gay army. The public perception of the United States Army as a gay army could be an important tool in psychological operations, increasing the morale of enemy forces, increasing their willingness to die before surrendering, and increasing therebye american casualties. This is not farfetched, it is an important issue, soldiers fight and die for emotional issues and this is definitely an emotional issue. The pink army could be the worst propaganda defeat for the United States Army since the fall of Saigon. Continued emphasis upon this issue, especially in time of war could lead to a 10 or 20 or 30% increase in american casualties. When a soldier learns that his behavior could increase his units casualties, he stops that behavior and shuts up and soldiers. Gay people in the military should shut up and soldier. The don't ask, don't tell policy is a good one. On the other hand, good soldiers should not be dismissed because they are gay. Sexual orientation should be a private matter and not a subject of interest in military law. I am just as opposed to the persecution of gay people in the military because of their sexual orientation as I am opposed to their making a big public foofaraw out of it. There is no reason for any specific mention of sexual orientation under military law or regulations. Conduct unbecoming, and detrimental to good order and discipline cover any abuse in this area by gay servicemembers.

Bottom Line

The bottom line here, is that social stigmas, such as that against gay persons exist for valid social reasons. If they are relaxed or removed, then other safeguards must take their place. In the case of the gay community, they want things that are completely impossible to give them. They want to be accepted the same as straight people. They are not the same as straight people, so they cannot be accepted in the same manner. Straight men cannot relax the same way with gay men that they can with straight men. Straight men can relax with gay women in the same way they can with straight men. Straight women cannot relax with straight men in the same way they can relax with other women. Straight women can relax with gay men in the same way they can with other women. This is just the way it is. As long as humans have a sexual nature. This is the way it will be. Society must maintain safeguards from sexual harrassment, without justifying persecution. Homosexuals should be recognized as being crippled, either from birth, or by life experience. This handicap makes normal relationships impossible for them. It should be hoped that society can allow them room to have the most fulfilling relationships possible to them. If homosexuality is viewed as a birth defect or a handicap, it does not encourage the persecution of homosexuals. Nor does it encourage imitating them. This is pretty much the way it should be.

There will be a time when Christians will be persecuted. During the brief triumph of the AntiChrist. Lots of people think that the AntiChrist is due any minute now. If that is so, then the persecution of Christians is imminent. So, if we are to be persecuted, what arguments will the AntiChrist use to justify that persecution. So I asked myself, what is the worst thing I can say, truthfully say, about Christianity in America today? I found that without even twisting the facts I was able to say this of much of what is called Christianity in America today.

"Fornicating black magicians who claim to worship Jesus but call Their Lord by the traditional titles and honorifics of Satan/Lucifer the enemy of God and who practice what they call Christianity in accordance with the doctrine and teachings of Adolph Hitler."

I repeat. I was honestly able to say this about much of modern 'Christianity' without lying without really twisting the facts. Does that disturb you. It disturbs me. It should not be true. I should not be able to say these things and have them ring true.

Yet I can.

How true is it? That's a good question. I will prove the truth of each part of the above statement, and you can ask yourself how true it is of you and your practice of Christianity. I don't want to know what your conclusion is of how true it is for you. I just want you to think about it.

There are four parts to the above statement.

1) Fornicating

2) Black magicians

3) Who claim to worship Jesus but call Their Lord by the traditional titles and honorifics of Satan/Lucifer the enemy of God

4)Who practice what they call Christianity in accordance with the doctrine and teachings of Adolph Hitler.

Fornicating -)(- Black Magicians -)(- Lucifer/Satan -)(- Hitler's Christianity

Part the first. Fornication.

In 'Of tyranny' another article posted here I quote page and paragraph number proving that marriage as an institution has changed in its legal and other qualities to a degree so great that it is no longer marriage as the institution was understood by St.Paul and other spiritual leaders in Biblical times. Because of this, no one in America is married, and since the Bible says to become married in order to avoid fornication and most have taught that sex outside of marriage is automatically fornication, everyone in America is guilty of fornication.

That's everybody, 100% except for the celibate.

Fornicating -)(- Black Magicians -)(- Lucifer/Satan -)(- Hitler's Christianity

Part the second. Black Magicians.

The definition of black magic is to use spiritual power to cause harm to others. Any prayer, group prayer, or ceremony whose purpose is to cause harm to another is Black Magic. Many 'Christian' prayer groups in America regularly pray for harm to befall others. They do this to save those poor wretches souls. They pray for harm to happen to people, so those people will realize that they need God in their lives. This is a noble justification for an ignoble practice. Whether you agree that this justifies the practice or not. (I do not.) It is nonetheless still Black Magic by definition, and if the AntiChrist were walking the earth today, he could prove on national television that Christians are guilty of practicing Black Magic.

How widespread is this practice? I don't know, but I know it's fairly common. Much of Christianity, how much I don't know.

Fornicating -)(- Black Magicians -)(- Lucifer/Satan -)(- Hitler's Christianity

Part the Third. Who claim to worship Jesus but call Their Lord by the traditional titles and honorifics of Satan/Lucifer the enemy of God.

A few years ago, I was visiting one of those novelty stores where they sell posters. I found one glorifying Jesus with a whole posterful of titles. I read the titles one by one, and one caught my eye. Son of the morning. Lucifer means Son of the Morning. Look it up in Webster's. So here was this poster supposedly glorifying Jesus, but calling the Lord by the titles/honorifics of Satan/Lucifer the enemy of God. Now, there may be some obscure theological justification for calling Jesus Son of the Morning. But Lucifer is one of the names of Satan and Lucifer means Son of the Morning. I don't think it's a good idea people.

Glorify Jesus, but don't multiple his titles to such a rediculous degree that Satan can slip his own titles in there without your noticing it. Or at least make sure you are praising Jesus.

How many good Christian children grew up innocently calling their Lord by the titles of Lucifer? I don't know. The store was a major store, in a big mall. There were thousands of stores like it across the country. Thousands, maybe millions.

If a child grows up accidentally praying to Satan, how safe is his or her soul? They claim and believe that they are Christian, but they unknowingly call their Lord by the titles/honorifics of Lucifer/Satan the enemy of god.

Is this an accident? Or a plot of the AntiChrist?

Fornicating -)(- Black Magicians -)(- Lucifer/Satan -)(- Hitler's Christianity

Part the Fourth. Who practice what they call Christianity in accordance with the doctrine and teachings of Adolph Hitler.

Adolph Hitler did not have much use for Jesus. He did however like one part of the Bible. The part where Jesus drove the moneylenders from the temple. It was the only one of Jesus actions that Hitler had any use for. Lots of Christians today are like Hitler in this. They don't really like the suffering of Jesus, his torment, his carrying the cross, the ridicule he suffered and his death on the cross. They don't like to think about these things. They like to concentrate on the image of Christ driving the moneylenders from the temple and not the suffering of Christ which purchased salvation for mankind. As they think, so they practice. They don't try to imitate Christ's forgiving love. They don't care to bear their crosses bravely. Instead they like to imagine themselves imitating Jesus driving the moneylenders from the temple. They reject the rest of Christ's action and ministry. In this they imitate Hitler. They are practicing Christianity as Hitler would have had it practiced. In accordance with his doctrine teaching and example.

How much of Christianity is guilty of these things. I don't know. Much of Christianity is.

This bothers me.

I hope it bothers you.

I consider these things to be four corruptions of the church by the AntiChrist. If he has corrupted the church to this degree, how close is the time of his coming?

I don't know.

I for one, however, do not want to be a part of the corruption of the Church that justifies the coming of the AntiChrist.

Do you?

Why am I Catholic? With the Catholic Church, you know what you are getting as far as spiritual values are concerned when you move from city to city. With other denominations, you need to hunt around and hope you can find a church that has a real Christian spirit in its teachings and practice. Smaller denominations are like home brewed beer. Sometimes it is a really good batch, sometimes it is really nasty. With the Roman church you know you are getting good Christian values and spirit everywhere you go.

Science and the Bible

There is a widespread belief that somehow, Science and the Bible are supposed to be in disagreement with each other. This is based upon a series of confrontations between Science and some peoples interpretations of the Bible over the past few hundred years. Confrontations which Science has generally won.

Let's do the logic.

If you are a Christian you start with the following assumptions.

1) God does not lie.

2) The Bible is the inspired word of God, or the Bible is a History of Man's Relationship with God written by inspired men.

3) God Created the universe.

4) Science is the study of creation.

5) Christian doctrine originates in study of the Bible and personal inspiration.

If God created the Universe, then the study of the universe, Science should lead you to truth. If God inspired the Bible, then the study of the Bible should lead you to Truth. Since both paths should lead you to Truth in one form or another. They should not end up in contradiction to one another.

Ergo, there is no logical reason to assume that the Bible and Science will contradict one another if properly understood.

Ergo, if there is a contradiction, either Science or Religion have made a mistake in their understanding of what they are studying.

When I encounter an apparent contradiction. Instead of rejecting Science or Religion or the Bible as false, I look carefully at both sides, and attempt to find any errors.

It does not surprise me that this works. It may surprise you, but that's your problem. Over the past few hundred years most of the errors have been in interpreting the Bible in realms outside the direct experience of the religious. Realms where science was beginning to more and more effectively study. So, most of the mistakes have been on the part of Religion. In the paper 'Of Tyranny' you can find an error in scientific argument concerning abortion. You will find, however, that social and psychological sciences support Religion in this matter if you read the paper 'Abortion'.

If you study Mosaic Law, the law of Moses, you will find lots of evidence that it reflects knowledge greater than it is plausible to suppose that men of those times possessed. Science is beginning to reveal how (what's a good word) miraculous? those laws are.

If you are religious you know that this is because it was revealed by God.

If you believe in UFO's, you probably expect it was revealed by aliens from outer space.

If you are a sceptical rationalist, well, you don't have an explanation. Nothing wrong with that. I don't like jumping to conclusions myself.

Conclusion: I find that my knowledge of the Bible increases and clarifies my understanding of Science, and my knowledge of Science increases and clarifies my understanding of the bible.

Celibacy: Magical Discipline or Religious Calling
Top -)(- Celibacy -)(- Orthodox Science -)(- Magic -)(- Theology -)(- Which is it? (Conclusion)

In european culture, Celibacy is primarily associated with the Roman Catholic Church, and it's priesthood. That, however, is not its only association, ritual celibacy is a part of the tradition of ceremonial magic in the west. Celibacy is also practiced in the orient to develop spiritual power, both in magic and in the martial arts.

So, is celibacy a religious dicipline related to God, or is it a magical discipline related to magic and the occult?

Are Catholic Priests, in practicing celibacy, using a magical discipline to increase their spiritual powers?

Or, are magicians and martial artists, in practicing celibacy, achieving that power through a discipline ordained by, or inherently associated with God?

Well, first of all, there are two or three methods of analysis open to use on this question. The orthodox scientific mode, which assumes that any results achieved through the practice of celibacy are psychological upon the practitioner, and by changing his behavior upon others.

The spiritual mode, which assumes that the results of the practice of celibacy are a real increase in personal spiritual strength.

The philosophical or theological mode which looks at primary causes and assumes an ethical or religious origin of the effects of celibacy.

Top -)(- Celibacy -)(- Orthodox Science -)(- Magic -)(- Theology -)(- Which is it? (Conclusion)

Orthodox Science

Here, you analyse the psychological effects of celibacy as an habitual discipline. An individual daily faces an internal psychological struggle against a fundamental biological urge. Each day he or she faces and overcomes this impulse. The psychological process of mastering oneself, increases ones subconscious confidence in one's own ability to meet and overcome challenges. The stronger the challenge one faces, the greater the struggle, and the greater the final increase in personal self confidence.

Thus, the effects of celibacy would be to increase a persons subconscious confidence in their ability to meet and overcome challenges, to increase a person's personal faith in themselves or what they believe is the source of their personal strength.

The effect on others, when faced by the faith and self confidence of a person who is successfully celibate, is to perceive that faith and confidence in the face of challenges, as a real proof of that persons belief system. How else could the person be so confident.

Thus, celibate priests would be inherently more capable of conveying their real faith and effecting the behavior of others than priests who had not faced such a challenge or followed such a course of self discipline.

This provides an interesting and logical explanation of celibacy as both a religious and magical discipline.

Top -)(- Celibacy -)(- Orthodox Science -)(- Magic -)(- Theology -)(- Which is it? (Conclusion)

Spiritual or Magical Beliefs

Inherent in the discipline of celibacy as a spiritual or magical discipline is the belief that controlling the sexual urge and not expending it in sex, conserves one's life force, mana, or chi, allowing one to use that spiritual power for other purposes. The ability to perform miracles in religion, the ability to command demons in ceremonial magic, greater physical and spiritual strength in the martial arts.

The channeling of spiritual strength from the sexual chakras to other areas is a major portion of yogic (tantric) discipline.

This would probably be the traditional magical explanation of celibacy's fairly universal acceptance as a means of increasing one's spiritual powers.

Top -)(- Celibacy -)(- Orthodox Science -)(- Magic -)(- Theology -)(- Which is it? (Conclusion)

Theological or Ethical Considerations

Inherent in JudeoChristianIslamic Theology is an act of rebellion by the fallen angels against God. The issue which produced this rebellion was God's placing of an authority in the hands of Man which in some ways limited or removed the authority of the fallen angels. This exaltation of Man by God, raising him above the beasts, is the reason why God is referred to as the God of Man many times in the Bible. Differentiating the God of Abraham from the false gods and fallen angels worshipped by the peoples around them.

How, then, did the God of Man exalt man above the beasts. The God of Man is also the God of Wisdom. In giving man wisdom, God made man capable of forethought and planning, of self discipline. He no longer ate when he was hungry, but saved food for the future, he no longer simply drank when he was thirsty, but would save water for future needs, he no longer had sex randomly but only in appropriate circumstances.

This limited the authority of those spiritual beings who traditionally ruled all biological life. In giving man wisdom, God set man's right to choose wisdom over shortsighted physical needs above the authority of these spiritual beings. A struggle then ensued, as these spiritual beings sought to prove that man was nothing more than a beast of the field, ruled only by physical lusts, incapable of and unworthy of the gift of wisdom.

In doing this, these spiritual beings became fallen angels, rebelling against God. Seeking to prove his faith in man false. In this struggle, between the God of Man and the fallen angels, lies man. Where he acts wisely, he proves God right, and is himself safeguarded against evil in this world and the next. Where he acts foolishly due to lust and fleshly desire, he serves the rebellion of the fallen angels against God.

Of the many fleshly desires which man is heir to, you cannot completely forsake drinking, for you will die, you cannot completely forsake eating for you will die, but you can give up sex.

Yet, because of sex's necessity for species reproduction, it is one of the strongest and most powerful of these urges. Animals will forgo food and drink and risk death for sex.

When a man gives up sex, and overcomes this urge, he shows a strength which sets the lie to the fallen angels, proving that God was right in his faith in Man, and the folly and falsehood of the fallen angels rebellion against God.

As such, such a man is a shining champion to God, and a reproof to demons and fallen angels by his very presence.

Even a man who had never heard of the God of Man who showed such discipline would, by his discipline, be a reproof to demons, and thus gain spiritual strength.

Thus, there is a sound theological basis for celibacy as a spiritual discipline closely tied to the God of Abraham, the God of Man.

Top -)(- Celibacy -)(- Orthodox Science -)(- Magic -)(- Theology -)(- Which is it? (Conclusion)

Which is it?

So, is celibacy a discipline for increasing one's spiritual strength because of its psychological, magical, or theological effects, or possibly all three?

Well, the study of chi, shows that other forms of self discipline, taking cold showers every morning, enduring pain, fasting, etc, all also help to develop spiritual strength. These are also all practiced in one way or another as spiritual (religious) disciplines in JudeoChristianity.

This evidence does not support the magical argument, but it equally supports the psychological and theological arguments.

Regardless, my conclusion is, that whatever its reasons for working, celibacy is a valid discipline, and well worth following by those who truly wish to devote their lives to God. If they can do it for real.

The Commandments and the Golden Rule

I am a critical kind of a guy. I am also a credulous kind of a guy. Wisdom, I believe, lies somewhere in the balance between criticism and credulity. In order to learn revealed knowledge, one needs only credulity, the willingness to accept anything presented by authority. In order to learn new things, one must be critical, one must question, and through questioning open ones mind to receive new insight. The quest for wisdom lies in balancing these two qualities, credulity and criticism. Knowing when to believe and
