ADIE: Sorceress from Nicobarese who lived in a house that guarded the Westland entrance to the King's Port pass through the Boundary.

Alric Rahl: Former ruler of D'Hara. He also created the bond that lets the Lord Rahl rule over the D'Harans.

Annalina Aldurren: Former prelate of the Sisters of the Light. Presumed dead by the Sister of the Light after She and Nathan faked their deaths to work unseen by the Sisters of the Dark.

Bird Man: The leader of the Mud People. The Bird Man has the power, with the use of a special whistle, to call birds to himself. All he has to do is think of the bird he wants and blow on the whistle and the bird will come.

Brophy: Former "trader" accused of child molestation and murder. Instead of being put to death for crimes he did not commit, Brophy called for a Confessor and was found innocent. So that he could regain some semibalance of his former self he was changed into a wolf. Later killed by Demmin Nass while protecting Kahlan.

Chase: Nickname of Dell Brandstone.

Darker Rahl: Son of Panis Rahl, father of Richard Rahl, and former ruler of D'Hara.

Dell Brandstone: Husband of Emma Brandstone, and adoptive father of Rachel. He is also the Head of the Boundary Warden's in Westland.

Demmin Nass: Basically the second in command when Darker Rahl ruled D'Hara. He killed Brophy the Wolf while searching for Kahlan, and then she later killed him.

Denna: The Mord-Sith who trained Richard. She later took the Keepers touch from Richard when he got touched by Darken Rahl's spirit. She also convinced Richard to leave the Temple of the Winds.

Dream Walker, The: A person who can get into your mind while they dream and after they awaken, force his will upon them. Currently Emperor Jagang is the only one alive.

Emma Brandstone: Wife of Dell Brandstone (Chase).

George Cypher: Father of Michael Cypher, and step-father of Richard Cypher. George Cypher was killed by Darker Rahl when he wouldn't tell him the location of the Book of Counted Shadows.

Giller: Former wizard to the Mother confessor. Giller was also a wizard of the second order, and died by Darken Rahl's hand when he wouldn't tell the location of the Box of Orden. Giller helped Rachel escape with the Box.

Gratch: A gar Richard Rahl saved at birth, which then became his friend. Since gars were designed to aid war wizards, and Gratch was the friend of a war wizard, he later became the leader of the gars.

Jagang: The Emperor of the Imperial Order and the ruler of the Old World. He is also known as the Dream Walker.

Jebra: A Seer currently traveling with Kahlan and Zedd. She is the one who told Zedd of her visions of Richard getting caught by the Sister of the Light, amoung other things.

Kahlan Amnell: The Mother Confessor, and former ruler of the Midlands. She is currently serving as the Queen of Galea and Kelton, and is maried the Lord Richard Rahl.

Keeper: Their version of the Devil.

Lord Rahl: The leader of D'Hara. All D'Harans are bonded to him by magic. Richard Rahl currently serves in this position.

Michael Cypher: Son of George Cypher, and step-brother of Richard. He was the First Councilor of Westland before Richard had him killed for betraying Westland to Darken Rahl

Milena: Former Queen of Tamarang and mother to Violet. She was killed by Denna.

Mistress Sanderholt: The head servent at the Confessors' Palace. She was tourtured into testifing against Kahlan by the agent Wizard Slagle of Kelton.

Mother Confessor: Leader of the Confessors, and formerly the ruler of the Midlands, until Richard Rahl took command. The position is usually held by the most powerful confessor. The office is currently held by Kahlan Amnell.

Nathan Rahl: The near to 1000 yr old Prophet that was formerly held captive in the Palace of the Prophets. He helped Richard escape the Palace and also set most of the fronts against The Dream Walker. Whereabouts unknown.

Orsk: A former Imperial Order member. He was touched by Kahlan's power and became her guard. He died while protecting her from the Blood of the fold.

Panis Rahl: Father of Darken Rahl, grandfather of Richard Rahl, and former ruler of D'Hara. It was because of Panis Rahl's atrocities against the people, that forced Zedd to raise the Boundaries. He was later killed by a ball of Wizards Fire that Zedd cast at him.

Rachel: Former playmate of princess Violet, and adopted daughter of Dell Brandstone. She escaped the castle at Tamarang with a Box or Orden with Gillers help.

Richard Cypher: Richard Rahl's former name before he found out that his true father was Darken Rahl.

Richard Rahl: Son of Darken Rahl, and grandson of Zeddicus Z'ul Zorander. Richard is currently the Master of D'Hara, and has called for the surrender of all the Midlands to his rule. He is the only known War Wizard, and is also the Seeker of Truth.

Shota: A Witch Woman who lives in Agaden Reach. She has 'helped' out Richard and Kahlan in the past, but is known for her true, but misleading predictions of the future.

Verna: The Sister of the Light who brought Richard Rahl to the Palace of the Prophets. She now serves at Prelate to the Sisters of the Light.

Violet: Princess of Tamarang, and daughter of Queen Milena. Got kicked in the jaw by Richard Rahl after she helped in his tourture. She is presumed dead.

Warren: A major scholor of the prophecies, he spent nearly all of his life in the vaults below the Palace of the Prophets. He has received one prophecy, which marks his advancement into becomming a true Prophet

Zeddicus Z'ul Zorander (Zedd): The First Wizard, and Richard Rahl's grandfather. He is responsible for raising the Boundary.
