Round Robins

The Round Robin FAQ -- Frequently Asked Questions

1 - What is a Round Robin Story?
A Round Robin story is one where there is a variable number of authors, all of whom take sequential turns writing the story. There are a set of rules which specify items such as the number of lines/paragraphs/words that each author must contribute before passing it on to the next person in line, how long an author is allowed to keep the story before passing it on, etc. Other rules may be set that stipulate the theme of the story, the character types in the story, the genre of the story, etc. Usually, each writer will leave the story at some kind of cliff hanger that the next author must resolve. Since none of the authors actually knows where the story is going, each and every plot twist between contributions is always interesting and occasionally frustrating. Its a great way to give your imagination a work-out!

2 - How is the Round Robin written?
A Round Robin Story is written by posting alternative threads in the RR forum to any previously written thread. When the story is completed, the RR coordinator, in this case, Yenko will archive them. Should there be more than one thread, more than one ending, so long as the fic is completed, it will be archived.
Anyone is welcome to start a new thread at certain times indicated.

3 - What controls the story-writing process?
In the SDFC RR, there is no limitation as to what can be written and what should not be written, except for the rule that the RR must be related and has Slam Dunk characters as the main. Crossovers are allowed, but the main focus should be still on Slam Dunk.
Of course, Yenko would have the power of authority to take away any fics that are deemed offensive or sensitive. Another thing: Please mail Yenko if you are interested to start an RR ^^

4 - How many authors can participate?
In the SDFC RR, unlike proper RRs, there is no limit to the number of authors participating in the story. Also, there is no limitation to how many times an author may participate in the story. So feel free to write.

5 - How much writing must each participant contribute each time?
Also, there is no specific to this, but it would be preferable for each author to at least leave us one paragraph. ^^

6 - How am I able to join the SDFC RR?
