And I to You, Forever till Eternity...

by Chopin

Prologue

The little boy trembled with fear. Sobs wreaking his small body. He stared wearily at the looming figure in front, backpedaling furiously. Till the cold hard wall slammed onto his back. Gasping, the boy turned around. His hands crawing desperately at the concrete. The short nails scratching on the surface, making a ear-jarring shriek. Realising the futility, the boy slumped onto the floor, like a broken puppet with all its strings cut, waiting motionlessly...

"Child, you know I'll never hurt you." A pale, withdrawn lady cooed. Her long greasy hair bunched up messily in a bun, secured by a rubber band. Her faded flowery dress swished around her skeleton legs as she approached the boy. Heels clicked clacked softly on the polished marble floor. Kneeling down, she gently scooped the boy into her lap.

"Is that better?" She asked affectionately.

The boy whimpered, feebly trying to free himself from her iron-like grasp. The lady frowned. A feverish red light danced in her jaundiced-yellow eyes. Her breathing became shorter and faster. The kindly look twisted into an ugly sneer. "You are mine! You hear that child! You belong to me alone! Never let me catch you playing with those street ruffians again!" A slap. "You want to play basketball, come to me! Understand, child? You are Mine!"

Roughly, she cupped the boy's face. Her taut fingers bruising the delicate jaw bone. Her long fingernails cut into the milk white skin, drawing blood. "Look at me." She snared, forcing the heart shaped face to look up.

A pair of beautiful prussian blue eyes peered timidly from the tumbling thick curled bangs. A glimmer of tear rolled in the eye rim, threatening to come down.

"Seki." She breathed. Stricken to see her dead lover's soulful eyes once again in the boy's eyes. The rage which suddenly swept her, disappeared without a trace. Like calm after a fierce storm. She wiped the droplets of blood trickling down the boy's neck, tenderly. Cradling the boy in her arms, she rocked him like a baby to and fro. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." She whispered heart-brokenly into his ears like a mantra, repeating it over and over again. Her tears flowed down silently, mixing with the boy's, smearing as one. Kissing the boy on his cheek, she breathed. " I love you, Kaede. Forever and ever. Promise you will be mine, for eternity. Promise me." Her face flushed with possessiveness.

Rukawa looked solemnly into her eyes. "I promise that I'm yours for eternity." His tone sacred as he took the vow. Pressing his thin lips on her forehead, he hugged her back, resting his head on her slender shoulders. "I love you too."

"And I to you child, And I to you. Bonded together, forever till eternity. This I swear. Forever till eternity..."

End Prologue

Explanatory: Yup, the boy is the Rukawa Kaede we know. This is a flashback of his childhood days, when he is about 6 years old. The lady's identity and relationship to Rukawa is not confirmed yet. It's going to be HanaRu. Yaoi (duh!). Angsty? Psychotic, yes. Dark, definitely.
