Her eyes are bright blue, inherited from her English father. Her skin is dusky, but not dark. She usually dresses in practical, down-to-earth clothing, most often khaki and hiking boots, and always wears a hat or head covering of some kind outside. Nethery is the daughter of an anthropologist father from the east of England and a local Mexican doctor. Sir Andrew Gilreath is a noted anthropologist who has published several papers about the Aztecs’ culture and religion. Doctor Lourdes Corazon is a local general doctor who lived in a small rural town and served several surrounding communities. Sir Gilreath came to Lourdes’ town because the inhabitants of the area are direct descendents of the Aztecs who had inhabited the area before the arrival of the Spanish. Aztec culture was Andrew’s area of specialty, and he was interested in seeing how much of the Aztect culture had survived to modern day, as well as investigating several ruins that were in the area. Andrew stayed in the area for a year, studying the ruins of a nearby Aztec city, before he met Lourdes through an unfortunate accident--he contracted malaria. Lourdes was the attending physician (being the only one in the area), and nursed him back to health. Initially suspicious of Sir Andrew and his motives, Lourdes came to realize that he was sincere, and a friendship grew between them, heightened by her knowledge of her ancestors, as her grandmother had taught her the old stories and the old ways. She helped Andrew with some of his studies, and after several years, it came as no surprise when Andrew proposed to her. A few years later, Nethery was born, and was named after Andrew’s grandmother. She is the oldest child of five, having two brothers and two sisters (Alejandro, for Lourdes’ father; Michael, for Andrew’s; Graciela, and Magary). Her mother's mother, Eleodora, still lives in the same village, and is very close to all of the family. Nethery grew quickly, and absorbed the knowledge and beliefs of both of her parents. She was tutored at home, as were her siblings, and when she finished her tutoring, she went first to America, then to England, to finish her schooling. She graduated from Cambridge with a degree in medicine, and another in botany. In her first year at Cambridge, while in the field, she had a vision of the bonds of living energy that tie all living beings together. It was as though her eyes had been opened to something that she had always known, but been unable to see or grasp before. She was overcome with awe and wonder at this vision, and it became her guiding force. This was her Awakening. One of the scientists that led the expedition, a mentor of hers, had long been watching her, and it was to him that she came to tell him of the miraculous vision. He immediately took her under his wing and began tutoring her in magick as well as science. When she graduated from Cambridge, she returned to her home in Mexico. There, she aided her father in his research as best she could, while starting work on her own research. The revelation that had shown her how all living things were connected had also convinced her that the rain forest held the secrets to cure the diseases that were running rampant. Using her medical and botanical knowledge, she's attempting to search for cures in the rain forest, as well as researching and documenting local “folk cures,” trying to prove their efficacy. She also seeks to prove that her beliefs about the bonds between all living things are true. She couldn’t think of a better place to do so than one of the “busiest” places in the world; teaming with life, and one of the last bastions of the magickal paradigm. Paradigm Every living thing is connected to every other living thing. If you harm a living being, you harm yourself. We are all bound together through the miracle of creation. Needless harm only brings harm to all. If harm comes to a living being that was not of your causing, but you encounter it, you must seek to atone, in however minor a way. Keep in mind that these ties between living beings also mean that various beings are aware of their places in Nature’s overall scheme. If you seek food, make sure that the animal you kill is ready to move on, and thank it for giving of itself to feed you. If plant, make sure that you do not pluck one yet to bloom, or still blooming, and thank it for giving itself for you. These bonds of living energy bind all living beings, and because of this, you must show respect and love for living beings, and for Nature, who brought us all into life. For these reasons, you may not thoughtlessly nor needlessly harm another living being. This includes such things as hunting fo sport or for the joy of the kill, whether the prey be animal or human or other creature; also such things as the wanton destruction of the Earth or Nature, such as strip mining or pollution. In order to show reverence, nurture living beings. Plant a garden; rescue and raise orphaned kittens. Always make sure that you give proper respect for that which has moved on in order to aid you, whether its passage be by your hand or another’s, or recently or long ago. Harm or kill only if you must, in order to survive. Protect and nurture Nature, in all of her guises, whenever you can. These are the rules, the duties, and the joys by which we must live.

It was just another identity on the road, crushed like roadkill by some ignorant bastard behind the wheel. Menagerie is all that there is now. From her penthouse abode, mena (as the few friends she has call her) she combats crime & decay in the grand cities of America. Personality: She is a stern one, characteristic of her Survivor nature, yet switches between demeanors as the current identity suggests. Lady Butterfly is flighty, almost enjoying each beat of her celestial wings. Krow doesn't talk much & when she does, its usually something depressing. The Quill is as impersonable as she gets retaliating with sharp comments & so on . . . Flaws & Backgrounds in Depth: Mena is somewhat shy, lacking the social graces a healthy upbringing might've bestowed. Her life is full of strange quirks & coincidences as is any crimefighter in the modern age. Her obsession borders dissociation, as she maintains multiple identities based on cyber-tech & animal guises in order to confuse her would-be enemies. And thus we come to the enemies . . . street hoods & the worst of the high crime cartels, plus a few oddities mixed in Mister Six, Neuro China, & MadderRose. Arcane & Sanctum are self-explanatory. Her wealth is maintained by the SoE as her father was a member for over two centuries & she is given "allowances" toward her work while they continue to monitor her changes for their own purposes. Deep with the recesses of her fractured mind are slices of information gleaned from circumstance, observation, past lives, or happenstance . . . it usually takes the form of the awakening of a cybertotem & with such a particular breed of knowledge or skill, technique comes forth. Rotes of Note: (and applicable foci) The Menagerie (Mind 2) The most pertinent Rote to Mena is that of her identity. A complex sysytem of imagery & emotive signitures obscures her true identity & that of what she is thinking. It also allows for defense against mental domination by invoking another aspect of her persona into control, if one falls to such attacks.

Forces - Hand Disks Version 1.0 Pair of small thick mini cd looking disks that are placed on the palm of each hand. A small bubble of "Regloo" glue is placed on one side of the disks and this side is then pasted on to a clear latex glove which is then placed on the palm of the hand. The disks direct the flow of ambiant ether in the air, condense it to a point of volatility, and then releasing it in a spray of static electricity. The gloves protect the wearer from the disks charges. Emaleth is currently working on a version 1.1 that will no longer require "Regloo" or gloves.

His foci for prime is candles, flame or other sources of light. Light is the symbol of the essence of god, amd the the celestine worlds. His foci for mind is a small round smooth stone. Milky in color he picked this stone up on his way to one of the saints tombs, and he belives it is the recipicale of spiritual power. Paradigm Experimetion. From grimoires of old to new age books this character never passes the chance to learn something new. He does however, draw the line on "wiccan" and most books published, by Llywellyn. He needs at least some anthropoligcal evidence to belive in something. He does have a strong conviction that there is a god, tho it is unlikely that this is the god of the catholics or the protestants. He is a combination of Taoist, sufi and gnostic, coupled with some neoplatonic philosophy and throw in some Buddhism for flavor, and set on high. His magick revolves around the principle 'I am a son of god, therfore my will is stronger than the material world'. He uses rituals and symbols and evocations to the holy spirit, Sophia, and Allah. BACKGROUND!! Jeremy was born in 1975 in Ohio. He never knew his parents. He was raised by a Commune in rural Ohio. They gave him the "Soph" because his mother was always talking about some goddess named Sophia. In his early years he spent many nights around the campfire listening to stories about snakecharmers in India, and Yogi's in Nepal, and strange bright-eyed people showing up in times of trouble. He loved these stories, they filled him with absolute wonder. in '85 the commune shut down. The amazingly resilient place had long since lost it's luster. It's bearded hippies got jobs while the small building were bulldozed over and replaced with a Wal-mart and a Chick-fila. From, 85 to 92 he grew up in foster homes. He never fit in, he always squirmed in the near puritan churches his foster parents always took him to. He always did average ion school and never made in any freinds. He blamed everyone for the destruction of his life. In 92 he left with the clothes on his back, a round trip ticket to europe, $1500 and a copy of "Tales of the Dervishes". He travlled in france at first. He liked the beautiful sights and the magnificent cathedrals. He ws even considering joing a French order of Jesuits because he was so impressed by their knowledge. However, the fateful day came when he visited the tower, Monsegnur in souther France. There he learned about the Cathar heresy, and even bought a copy of "The Gospel of Thomas" and "The Gospel of Mary". That would be the end of his interest in Catholicism. From France he went to Spain and then onto Morocco. The legend of his youth, he sampled a little Hasheesh, but was looking for something more. Eventually his curiosity was rewarded. He learned that there was a Tekkia in the desert. He hiked into the desert following a guide for three days untill he saw a large white dome in the horizon. His guide then took the lats of Jeremy's money and left to go buy some drugs. Jeremy hiked the rest of the day alone. He felt like he was on a sort of pilgramage. When he arrived he begged the Sheik there to accept him as a student. Fortunatley one of the "iniates" spoke english...he was admitted. After three months he had made little progress. He wasn't picking up the language very well, and he had a hard time fitting in. He was used to the food, and he even fell ill. He persevered however, and started to make breakthrough's in meditation. He lost a lot of weight there. June 6th, 1996 the Tekkia was attacked. It was all very confusing to Jeremy. They were in the middle of zikkr when it happened. H eheard explosions movement. He was led to a back room and the door closed behing him. He heard running, and eventually screams. Jeremystand it, and he opened the door and crawled out. He saw blood spattered upon the walls, and he crawled through the wetness on the floor. Finally he saw his sheik laying slumped against the wall. Three gunshot wounds were inflicted...one on his forehead, one on his throat, and one huge wound in the center of his chest. He still lived...Jeremy crawled over trying to help. His teacher leaned up and whispered a word into his ear. The Tekkia disapeared. Darkness. No light. The earth...spinning. Flames burning the earth. A heart. peace. stability.It was over. He was lying on his back in a hospital. He was going to be deported. None of it seeemed to matter anymore. He yearned to know god, and know the universe, indeed...to become one wiht thw universe itself. Back in America(back to his home state Ohio) he noticed changes. with concentration he could almost know other people's thoughts. Eventually he was noticed by a priest at a local church he went to sometimes. Father Paul helped him. he got him a job and got him into the Celestial Chorus. He even went to Seminary. Unfortunatley he proposed that all religions were one, and all gods were aspects of the divine. Everything is god! He was soon excommunicated for heresy. He was quit the Chrous soon after that. After that he went back to his hippie roots and joined the Cult of Ecstasy. He liked the care-free attitude, and learned of the existence of Toaism. He was(and still is) very interested in Tai Chi theory(Yin-yang). He dropped out of the Cult, however, when he realized that they weren't advancing anymore than the Choristers were. That brings us to now.
