Foxes

So why do I like foxes? I am one....sorta. *chuckle* If I could be an animal, it would be a fox, or a wolf. I just feel connected to them. They're beautiful animals, they're clever and quick, and they're quite cute too! Then there's the supernatural side of them. The trickster. No, I'm really not that much of one, but I have my moments. (More than I can remember now that I think about it...) I just feel 'foxish'. (If that's even a word. :p) Once, in kindergarten (it's amazing what one remembers), I was asked what kind of tail I'd have if I could. I said skunk. (I still love skunks...) No, it would be a fox tail. I even asked Helen what she's do if I had a fox tail. *chuckle* (It was a better answer than 'what if I turned into a cat'...) She thought it would be neat.
Rant Time: Furries like choosing animals that are anthropomorphic as their counter selves. The fox is one of the most common. (Cats being next I believe) I guess there's something in the fox that just calls to people. A sort of....magic if you will. Humans are animals, and I think since we lost that feeling, we have started wanting to make animals more like us. Look at cartoons. We identify with human-like animals better than we do normal looking ones. Why do you think the grasshoppers in 'A Bug's Life' look real. What about the evil gorillas in Disney's new cartoon 'Tarzan'. People find humanish animals nicer and easier to look at. It might just be me, but I think it's because we are kinda ashamed of what we have become. We rape the land, we kill each other over stupid things. Why? Because we are human.
Ok, ranting over....:) Life is a wonderful thing, and everytime I see a fox I realize how happy I am to be alive and how much I like those cute little red guys. Artic foxes are cool too, and I even have a character that is one in an RPG I'm in. Anyway, I love foxes, and wolves, and hopfully I'll stick some wolf pics here soon, as soon as I get some. Anyway, that's my little rant over now. :) Talk to you later!
