The Imperial Favor

Promo Action, InQuest Gamer #48
You may discard the Imperial Favor to perform one of the following:
Limited: Draw a Fate card and add it to your hand; or
Open: Restore any one Dishonored or Dishonorale Dead Personality to Honorale status; or
Battle: Return any unit committed to a battle to the Fief of its controlling player; bow this unit. You may do this in a battle in which you have no units; or
Reaction: Prevent any one loss of Family Honor.

Quotes:
"In a world where steel can overcome honor, history is written by the victor, studied by the defeated and forgotten by the rebellious. Only the Jade Throne is immune to the ravages of time..." -Doji Shizue

Game Note:
Gaining the Imperial Favor is an important part of this game. The favor can erase a stain of dishonor from your family or one of your men. The favor can gain you a fate card, and the favor can send someone home from a battle. Since Palace of Otosan-Uchi starts with the Imperial Favor against most, you have these abilities for at least a turn. Against military decks, I suggest keeping the favor around even if it means you might lose it the next turn in cause of a quick attack. Against a honor deck, use the favor for a card. One thing to remember about the favor is that do not use it to send home someone if your opponent can crush your army/province even without it.

Story Note:
Emperors give their favor the family with the most honor, and this favor afford these families protection from nearly everything. Toturi's favor rests with the Cranes and Unicorns for now, but the Phoenix are eager to gain his affection as well.
