Phoenix Knight review by: Cedric Story: There was a demon that existed. The mages of the world, using all their power banished him into what is called the Nethersphere. The mages perished but left behind an orb, with which an order of knights would be found to protect the populace. The opening is very nice. And you have to expect a game to be good when you see a special thanks to J.R.R. Tolkien, Douglas Adams, and Monty Python. He used a set of monsters from warhammer, which made battles refreshing and new after seeing the default monsters soo much. Of course he shares his amount of music use from final fantasy, but who doesn't? And thankfully, he didn't use the mosaic choice for screen switching. Maps are cleanly done and the magic has a new design, with flaming sword and such. What fan of Monty Python could miss the joke about the bird carrying the coconut that a knight says in the beginning of the game? Gotta love this stuff. The training guilds are an interesting way to improve. And the storyline really moves with no extremely rough spots. This game is really impressive in what I've seen so far and I'd like to see more of it. Music/Sound - 90% maps/events - 94% storyline - 97% score = 93.7%
