Dawn of Darkness review By: Cedric Story: A warlock speaks about the awakening of the true 'leader' of the world. He says that an apocalypse is coming, and so is the 'dark sun' hence the name. The first thing you notice when you start playing is the amazing ability to choose a difficulty level. You don't see very much of this, and it is a nice idea. There are wonderful 3D images here as well. The maps are mostly well done and the author has a nice event setup so that when you go to sleep and wake up early the next morning in the beginning, everyone's doors are closed and still sleeping. The save spot idea with the camping area is a good added bonus as well. Most of the music fits in with the mood of the time in the game. The switching between different stories and different characters in the same world is smoothly and wonderfully done. The puzzles are nice and difficult. There is that weird bug at the beginning for the message which takes away from the title screen. Some of the speech doesn't make sense, or sounds a little ridiculous. This is another game that uses the Mosaic choice for screen switching in battles. And yet again, it gets tiresome to wait for the mosaic to switch screens. I noticed some map and event flaws, but nothing too drastic. sound/music - 89% maps - 94% story - 95% score = 92.7%
