American
Name: Final
Fantasy Adventure
(GAMEBOY)
Japanese Name: Seiken Densetsu (GAMEBOY)
The very first SEIKEN
DENSETSU game that ever came out was actually renamed as part of
the Final Fantasy series even though it had nothing to do with
any of the Final Fantasy stories or battle systems. Why it was
renamed to this title is what I'm about to explain.
As the Final Fantasy series became big hits ever since the very
first one for the NES, why not make some for the GB. So they did.
They've created Final Fantasy Legend 1-3 and then Final Fantasy
Adventure. Or I think it was Final Fantasy Adventure and THEN
Final Fantasy 1-3. Whatever.
Anybody who liked the Final Fantasy Series is sure to buy and
like the ones for the Gameboy and so it was another success for
Squaresoft and its Final Fantasy games.
American
Name: Secret
of Mana (Super
Nintendo)
Japanese Name: Seiken Densetsu 2 (Super Famicom)
Another one that was
renamed when it released throughout the US, but wasn't renamed as
part of the Final Fantasy series is this game. Instead, they
renamed it to Secret of Mana which is alright for everybody since
this game was a big hit.
One thing that is so cool about this game is that it was
translated right when it came out. And the good part is that it
took Squaresoft a month to translate the whole game! That's the
new translating record ever!
American Name:
Japanese Name: Seiken Densetsu 3 (Super Famicom)
Never been released in the US, this game was the best Secret of Mana game ever to hit Japan. Nobody, even I never knew why Squaresoft never released this game to US shores. It really sucks to know that this game was the best, but never was it translated. But oh well... there's always ROMS!
American Name: Legend
of Mana (PlayStation)
Japanese Name: Seiken Densetsu: Legend of Mana (PlayStation)
All I can say is that this game is the funnest out of all the Secret of Mana games. BUY IT!!
