(1) Project : Raw Material Purchasing System.
Client : Chamice India Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, India.
Role : Java Programmer (member of three-person team)
Achievement :
  • Participated in the design and development of a Raw Material Purchasing System for a seafood cold storage and exporter using Java 2. The system allows entry of purchase orders for various raw materials used in cold storage, ad-hoc querying of orders, reporting of orders according to various criteria. It also allows entering fulfillment of each purchase order and generation of quality control reports.
  • Participated in the analysis & design of the system.
  • Implemented purchase order entry and reporting modules using JFC-Swing.
  • Developed Java classes that provide JDBC connectivity to the application with a SQL server database.

  • Participated in the design and development of an Inventory management and Order Entry System for a home appliance manufacturer and exporter using Java 2.
  • Developed modules for inventory management and tracking using Java2 and JFC Swing. Used JDBC for connectivity to an Oracle8 database that stores all orders and inventory.
  • Developed report modules for inventory.

(3) Project : Online Examination Simulator.
Client : Cosmic Byte Pvt. Ltd. (R & D), Ahmedabad, India.

Achievement :
  • Participated in the design and development of an online examination simulator that also provides online monitoring. The system uses servlet for online exam simulation. The servlet randomly presents 40 questions out of two hundred from an Access database. The application also provides instant feedback after the completion of the test.  
  • Participated in system analysis and design.
  • Developed Java modules for online examination simulation.
  • Performed testing and prepared documentation.

(4) Project : Website Designing & Development.
Client : Cosmic Infonet Solutions, Ahmedabad, India.
Role : Summer Intern - Web Developer (member of the website development team). This project was a part of my MCA 6th semester curriculum.
Achievement :
  • Participated in the design and development of the website for Cosmic Group of Companies. The website provides details about the companies part of the Cosmic group. It also offers online price estimation of PCs sold by Cosmic. Users can choose their desired configuration and the price is calculated immediately. The site also supports online job application, feedback, search, etc.
  • Designed and developed various pages for the website using tools listed below.
  • Tested and uploaded the site.

(5) Project : Employee Information System.
Client : Assam Engineering College, Gauhati, Assam, India.

  • Participated in the design and development of an employee information system using Visual Basic and Microsoft Access. This system computerizes the manual process of querying and reporting employee information. It provides employee search and reporting using various options.
  • Participated in system analysis and design.
  • Developed Visual Basic modules for searching and reporting employee information. 
  • Performed unit and functional testing.
