Miscellaneous Anime Collection

This is basically where I post up groups of pictures from series which are too small in numbers to build individual pages for. I will also stash pictures of characters in shows that I don't know.

	Kei & Yuri (The Dirty Pair) I know what you're thinking! This series is NOT hentai. ¬_¬ Kei and Yuri are a pair of trouble consultants for the "Worlds-Wide Welfare Association", an organisation responsible for keeping peace. Codenamed "Lovely Angels", the nickname "Dirty Pair" actually suits them better because of the voilent way they handle their assignments. Red haired Kei, is the more wreckless one out of the two. As a weapons freak, it's only fitting that Kei be in charge of weapons control. Blue haired Yuri, can be considered as the intellectual half of the team. She is in charge of operations.
normal small	Hikaru Shidou (Magic Knights Rayearth) Hiraku Shidou is one of the girls summoned by Princess Esmeraude to help save her world of Cefiro. With her friends Umi Ryuzaki and Fuu Houji, they must travel through Cefiro to train to become Magic Knights and to wake up the Mashins, which are necessary to help save Cefiro. Hikaru uses the power of fire. This was my submission for Monthly Bishoujo Art for September 1999.
normal small	Kurama Youko (Yuu Yuu Hakusho) Kurama Youko is a character from the manga/anime series Yuu Yuu Hakusho (known as the "The Poltergiest Report" in the West). Kurama is a "beautiful man", meaning that half the time he looks kind of girlish ^^;; Hence his pick as September 1999's Monthly Anime Bishounen
normal small	Koji Nanjo (Zetsu Ai 1989) Koji Nanjo is a character from the manga/anime Zetsu Ai 1989, and October 1999's Monthly Anime Bishounen. He is a violent, bratty, whiny and dependent rock-star. Like most good-looking guys, he's always surrounded by women. But he constantly hounds only one person - the young male soccer player, Takuto Izumi. Urk O_O
normal small	Sae Sawanoguchi (Mahou Tsukai Tai) Sae Sawanoguchi is one of November 1999's Monthly Bishoujo Art "cover girls". Sae is a very hyper-active, optomistic girl who tries her absolute best to become a great magician. She is probably the only serious member of the school Magic Club. But although she has a lot of potential, she must first overcome her belief that she is awkward at everything she does.
normal small	Sakura Kinomoto (Card Captor Sakura) Sakura Kinomoto is the other "cover girl" Monthly Bishoujo Art for November 1999. While she was home alone one night, Sakura accidentally released a pack of magic cards named Clow Cards into the world. The protector of the Clow Cards, Kerberos (or Kero-chan for short) appointed Sakura the responsiblity of recapturing all the Clow Cards. Sakura uses a magic key which can turn into a staff whenever Sakura "Releases" it's power, to capture the cards.
normal small	Touga Kiryuu (Shoujo Kakumei Utena) November 1999's Monthly Anime Bishounen pin up boy is Touga Kiryuu. He is the suave and handsome playboy president of the Ohtori Academy Student Council. SPOILER ALERT Highlight if you dare... Handsome he may be, but I think Touga is a total jerk. He's self-possessed and power hungry. Touga pretends to be Utena's "prince", so that he could catch her off guard and claim the Rose Bride (and therefore the Sword Of Dios) for himself.
normal small plain	Tamahome (Fushigi Yuugi) The first Monthly Anime Bishounen for Y2K - Tamahome is one of the handsome Suzaku Seishi from Fushigi Yuugi. As a Suzaku Seishi, it is his responsibility to help Suzaku no Miko (the Suzaku Priestess) gather the other seishi so that she can call on the power of Suzaku to grant her wishes. Tamahome's power is ONI (ogre). He is very skilled at martial arts. Tamahome is also very obsessed with money.
normal small plain	Cherry (Saber Marionette J) After seeing the whole series of Saber Marionette J, and being impressed by the shiny character designs, I decided to draw this image. In the all male population of the world of Terra II, marionettes are used to fill in the roles of the women in society, like helping their masters do housework. Cherry is a very special marionette - special in that along with her "sisters" Lime and Bloodberry, Cherry has a maiden circuit installed in her. The maiden circuit allows the marionettes to possess emotions, and to learn for their experiences. Cherry is famous for her delicious cooking, her polite nature, and humorous hallucinations.
	Lapras (Pokemon) This is a special request from lildarien. He asked me to CG one of his pictures, and this is it! Lapras is one of the 150 pokemon you have to catch in the Nintendo Gameboy game, Pokemon. As everyone should know, Pokemon is also a very popular children's Anime. The star of the show, Ash travels around with his two friends Misty and Brock; catching pokemon and battling for trainer badges, in a bid to become a Pokemon Master. Lapras is Ash's prized Pokemon during the Orange League series.
normal small plain	Mylene Jenius (Macross 7) Mylene is my MBA submission for June 2000. This image was somewhat rushed. I'm pretty happy with the way the form turned out, but I didn't have enough time to CG it properly. The pencil outlines are still rough and unclean. Because of the time restrictions, I opted for a cel-style CG-ing style. For me it seems to be faster than "soft, shiny" CG-ing ^^;; The pose for Mylene was doctored from a Lynn Minmay, Do You Remember Love? image.
normal plain	Kitty Sizer Kitty Sizer is my Hello COSPLAY Kitty competition submission for the AnimeUNSW Anime&Manga Society. I have this competition to thank because it broke my "CG-er's block" ^^;; The aim of the competition was to "embelish" a template of Hello Kitty (or one drawn yourself) by making her "COSPLAY-ing"* as another character - be it from anime, movies, etc. In this image, Hello Kitty is COSPLAY-ing as Sizer from Hameln The Violinist. (This image was obviously inspired by watching too much VoH ^^;;) * N.B: COSPLAY - short for "COStume PLAY". In general this is the Japanese term for people dressing up (like for a fancy dress party). But it is commonly the word used to describe those who dress up as Anime characters.
normal	Tohru Honda One of my favourite characters in Fruits Basket, Tohru is the "live in house maid" of Shigure Sohma's household. Honest, polite, and very kind- hearted. To people who don't know her that well, she seems like a complete air-head, but her kindness and pure heart usually wins them over in the end. This is a rough pencil sketch of Tohru that I did after watching the conlusion of the series. I havn't had a chance to CG it.
normal pink version	Subaru My favourite characters in .hack//SIGN, Subaru is the leader of the Scarlet Knights - a group of players who try ensure that other players follow the rules while they are playing in "The World". Very soft-spoken, as an online game character, she is physically weak, but the player behind the character is very strong-willed and pure hearted. The strength of her kind heart and her strong sense of duty has earned her a lot of respect in "The World".
