The Knight Scrolls

As the newly created races came into the world, they found themselves unable to cope with the hostile world they were born into. The gods saw their children suffering, and could not sit idle as their followers perished. So the gods took some of their children aside and taught them to build, and with that knowledge, the cities were built. They taught others to farm and forge for food, and they taught them the magic of fire, and with these abilities they provided for the others. Yet even this was not enough, for many who were sent out into the forests never returned.

Worried over the safety of their children, the gods gave them the knowledge of weapons and armor to protect themselves while gathering food in the forests. Over time, people began to specialize their skills. Some learned only to grow crops, and raise livestock, and others learned the ways of weapons, and combat. These warriors formed a band of Knights to protect the citizens from danger.

With the discovery of the Tower of Divinity, the Knights were hired by the scholars to protect the Tower's treasures from looters. As a reward, the Knights were given a tome which contained instruction on the manufacture of various weapons and armors from ancient times, plus valuable training methods which could be used by the Knights. This tome was called the Lore of Lorthonius. The Knights used the knowledge contained within the book to construct a large training center near the tower. People from around the world came to the school for training and instruction.
