Error correcting according to Dragma

Welcome to the error correcting page, I am taking it upon my self (possibly with some help from you) in bringing to light some of the blaring errors that I have found in the book. These won't be grammatical corrections but reporting on wholesale wrong information. If you happen to find any thing that I miss or haven't gotten to yet please e-mail me at dragma_wanderer@hotmail.com with the information. So with out further adieu, here we go.

So far only 2 Items have caught my eye, but I am sure that many more will follow:

On page 24 for Chiao-Tzu, they give his power level as a paltry 530, this is way too low. If any one can E-Mail me as to the actual level, it would be much appreciated.

On page 44 where is says that Master Roshi was trained with the Ox King by Goku's adopted grandfather, it is actually Roshi that trained the two of them. (also Roshi's power level my be a bit high.)

Submited:

Jeremy states: Where shall I start , well lets see on pg. 27 they say it was 1000 years since the last SSJ  but it is closer to 3000; next Vegetas power level is around 18000 instead of 7500. Plus they don't at all have any info on power sensing, teleporting in battle, attacking with punch then adding a ki blast to the attach, or any type of weaponry except for Goku's power pole. (They do however mention Yajorbies sword, Also the teleportation dosn't occure untill after the Frieza saga, so we have a ways to wait. As for the rest take a look at the rules section to see some implementations)

David Brings an interesting thought: With nothing else to do at work on Christmas I was looking through my DBZrules book and made a couple of calculations and corrections to Movement. According to the book, 1 movement point is equal to 2 meters. (Page 67) Italso says that an Olympic athlete would have a movement of 9 (Page 78,sidebar) However, this would make it so that a Olympian only moves18meters in 3 seconds (1 round), making the Olympian finish a 100meter dashin 16.6 seconds. My little sister runs faster than that. And the recordholder, Donovan Bailey, who I think we can assume would have a 9 inMovement, did it in 9.84 seconds. The bast way I was able to come up withan answer is to say that a movement is equal to 4 meters. This will makehim run the 100 meter in 8.3 seconds, but I think that is as close as weare going to get because 3 meters is too short at 11.1 seconds.

Boone Has some things to add: Chiao-Tzu's power level is correct, he is a weak little guy. The only way he can do his biggest attack is by killing himself. Other things: If all someone has to do to block is roll ten above his opponent's fighting skill +combat, why does the attacker have to roll at all? If the defender blocks, no damage taken. If he fails the block, does the attacked automatically succeed? Also, I've found a good way to deal with deflections. Normally, if you get hit with a h2h attack with a deflection up, your deflection automatically falls. I make it so you have to roll your mind skill against the attacker's fighting skill, to see if it stays up. Also, what stops PCs from getting too much fighting skill with a low power level? I'll tell you what, and this works pretty well for my PCs. Multiply your Combat Characteristic by 20, and that is the max skill point rating you can have. That means that your Fighting, Evasion, Power, Body, Weapon, and Mind all added up cannot exceed your Combat x 20. That makes it necessary for training in between battles, so it's not just battle, battle, battle, with a weak story line. Next, I treat all the different attack effects (area effect, homing, bending, etc.) as different abilities. To learn them, you must seek out a master who can teach them. I NEVER allow a PC to learn Deadly Effect, it is too powerful. I do however, let them learn an attack that has it on it. Sort of like if Kuririn were to teach Gohan how to do his Destructo Disk, except he could only teach him how to do it one way, and Gohan wouldn't be able to change the power put into the attack. (The attack I recently let a PC learn is the 'Fusion Star Slicer', a 100-pt attack that has 1 phase homing, and 10 points Deadly Effect, thus giving it 70D damage.)

(May be I should put this section as letter to the editer or some such)

Jon Bossom Points another thing out: well yes the p level on chiaotzu is incorrect go to yahoo do a search for a page called "Ultimate dragonball information" there is a complete characterlist also power levels and moves it shows his andeveryone elses plus it is verified by toriyama

Barry (E-mail withheld upon request) Would like to refute David: The reason for this apparent error in running speed is that DBZ is based on Instant Fuzion.  The resolution, from Total Fuzion, is that the running speed of 1 Move=2 meters per phase is the characters combat running speed. The noncombat running, or sprinting, speed is 1 Move=3 meters per phase, or 1 Move=1 meter/sec.  Donovan Bailey's 9.84 second 100m dash means he was sprinting at about 10m per second, giving him a Move of 10.  This makes sense to me, since a world record holder should be IMHO at the human stat maximum of 10 (or at least very close to it).
