GRAND MAGIC III Here we are once again. This is the third installment of the Grand Magic series. Here are five new spells that you can use in your campaign. I hope you enjoy!!! Created by Steve Marella Chime of Release(Alteration) Level:1 Range:60 yards Components:V,S Duration:1 round Casting Time:5 Area of Effect:one creature Saving Throws:none When this spell is cast, a delicate chime rings out, the vibration will release any form of nonmagical bonds holding a single creature or person. Ropes will be untied, chains and shackles loosened, leather straps unbound, a gag undone, or a wooden stock will be opened by the chime. Scent Mask(Illusion) Level:2 Range:Touch Components:V Duration:5 turns Casting Time:2 Area of Effect:1 creature/lv. Saving Throw:neg. This spell will conceal all odors emanating from a creature for the duration of the spell. If cast on a mage or another, they cannot be found by their scent. They cannot be tracked by animal if it fails there save vs. spell. Blinding Flash(Alteration) Level:2 Range:5 yard per lv. Components:V Duration:Instantaneous Casting Time:3 Area of Effect:10 yards Saving Throw:neg. This spell create a sudden flash of white light that blinds everybody in the area of effect if a save vs. spell is failed. If the victime fails there saving throw then they are blinded for 2d6 rounds and receive a -4 penalty to attack and damage. They also always go last in intiative. Blazing Beam(Invocation/Evocation) Level:3 Range:30 yard +10/lv. Components:V,S Duration:Instantaneous Casting Time:4 Area of Effect:One creature Saving Throw:Special This spell draws a parcel of energy from the positive material plane to the caster's hand, which can be fired in a 1' wide and up to 30' + 10/lv. of the caster in range. Except for undead, a creature strucked by the beam is entitled a saving throw. A creature that saves is strucked by a glancing shot and is dazed for 1d4 rds., suffering -2 on hit roll and +2 penalty on AC. A creature that fail is struck full in the face by the beam and is blinded for 2d4 rounds, suffering a -4 penalty on hit roll and a +4 penalty to AC. A undead creature in not entitled a saving throw but is not dazed and blinded. It suffers 4d6 points of damage. Plane Truth(Divination) Level:6 Range:one mile per level Components:V,S Duration:3 rounds +1/lv. Casting Time:1 turn Area of Effects: one creature per 2 rds. Saving Throw:None This spell is a more precise and exacting version of know alignment. A creature's alignment will be revealed to the caster in the first round of study. With a second round of concentration, the creature's home plane is revealed. The deity or deities worshipped by the creature also becomes know to the mage.
