Here is a peek of what I have seen: ______________________________________________________________________________ --Sword of the Dragon Kings: These twenty legendary Broad swords of great power came from the uncharted lands of Locklin during the age when the Drakes of Black, Blue, Brass, Bronze, Copper, Green, Red, Gold, White and Silver ruled over the lands of Humans, Elves, and Dwarves. Through thier combined efforts the races brought forth these mighty blades to control the Drakes. Upon the swords completion the souls of the most powerful male and female Drakes of each color had been imprisoned within the blades. With these great + 5 blades in the hands of the best warriors of the races, the dragons were drove from the lands. As the years passed by and the dragons no longer a threat over the races the blades were no longer needed and were lost, just to become weapons of legend. Most of the blades today have found thier way into the hordes of the greatest dragons never to be used agaisnt a dragon again. Rumor has it that the magic of the blades grows olds and that one day the dragons of the blades will be free. Anyone lucking enough to even see a Dragon sword will be astounded by its great beauty. These + 5 blades of unknown metal shimmer with greenish light when drawn. The pommel of the swords is inlaid with mithril and contains a 10,000 gp gem which acts as a Amulet of Life Protection, and ten 2,000 gp gems. Each sword is aligned as the dragon imprioned within is. (ie., Gold Dragon: LG, sword is LG). When used against a dragon the sword does triple damage. The sword has a intelligence of 17 and a ego of 17. When held the swords grants 60% magic resistance in a 5' radius, can detect Evil/Good, Magic, and Invisible objects in a 10' radius, and the wielder gains infravision at the range of the dragon within. Once per day the sword will automaticaly heal its wielder should he or she fall below 25% of thier maximum hit points. These great blades speak the languages of Dragons, Man Elf, and Dwarf. Should the wielder of such a blade ever be in a life or death situation thier is a 25% chance that the dragon within the sword will cast a spell it has known since its imprisonment to aid the wielder as long as this does not involve the slaying of dragons of the same alignment as the the sword. (ie, a LG sword would not aid in the death of a good dragon). These great blades also have there draw backs. The wielder will have to eat twice as much to support the dragon imprisoned within, and should the wielder cross the path of a dragon, the dragon will do its upmost to gain the blade from its wielder. When found these blades are always found with a golden scabbard inlaid with mithril ruins. After long studying and researching of the magical ruins the scabbard grants that the sword can only be drawn by the possessor, the sword is always sharp and clean when drawn, the scabbard is 100% magic resistent and the sword and scabbard can not be removed from the dead wielder for one week do to the gem within the pommel that acts as a Amulet of Life Protection. --Blade of the Underdark: Made hunderds of years ago by the Drow Warrior/Mage Rudawnin of some unknown house this short sword has a long history of destruction in the Under Realms of the Everdark. When in the hands of an accomplished Chaotic-Neutral Warrior/Mage this blade is deadly. Upmost when used in the absence of light, the weapon is a +3 blade of sharpness and grants its wielder a 30% magic resistance bonus and the ability to move silently as a thief of equal level. When used in dim light the blade is still +3 but does not grant any of the above abilities. When used in full light the blade is still +3 and grants the user protection to his eyes, so that he fights with no penalties do to bright light. Becuase of the blades unknown metal it is immune to the effects of sunlight unlike other Drow items. Many a Warrior or Thief would like to get his hands on this blade and many a good creature of the Under Realms would like to see to its destruction. --Blade of Dopplegangerism: A +3 longsword rumored to made by Dopplerangers to cause havoc among the other races. When used in melee the weapon performs very well. The unusally draw back to this sword is that when used in melee against humanoid opponents the wielder becomes whatever he has slain (only in the physical sense, no abilites or attributes will change) Upon realizing what has happen the wielder will be unable to get rid of the sword. This curse can only be removed by a Wish spell. --Blade of Shattering: Another +3 longsword that performs very well until a to hit roll of a natural 20 is rolled then the blade will shatter into a hunderd peices. These sword were rumored to be created by some Wizards, who passed them out as gits to great warriors to aid in the warriors death in melee. -- Thornshadow's Blade of Mirrorism: +5 Short sword created for the Master Thief, Thornshadow to aid him in melee when he was outnumber. The Short sword is only +5 in the hands of a Thief, in any others it is only a +2 magic sword with no special abilites. When the Thief is outnumber by at least 5 to 1 he can one time a day, after shouting "I am a Thief!" create a exact duplicate of himself in every way, to include items, skills, etc. The "duplicate" is so complete that there is no way of detecting the illusion short of a Wish spell. The illusionary "duplicate" will obey the Thief's commands via a telepathic link. The "duplicate" can enter melee, perform a task, etc.., as long as the "duplicate" is within 150 feet of the Thief. The "duplicate" will remain as long as it has not been destroy or one turn per level of the Theif wielder. Thornshadow used the "duplicate" very well, confussing emenies and friends alike. Needless to say Thornshadow lost his blade at the hands of another thief. --Talos's Song Blade: This very well crafted +4 Longsword is sought after by many Elven Bladesingers. The pommel of this blade is ornated with twenty 2,000 gp diamonds and one 10,000 gp fire opal. If this weapon should find its way into any non-elf hands many a Elf Collector will be on the way. In the hands of a Bladesinger the wielder gains one extra attack per round and a +1 bonus for any unusual maneuveuver attempted on top of any other bonuses The blade also negates the penalties for casting spells one handed. The fire opal within the pommel can also hold one spell that the Bladesinger has remembered for the day. The sword was lost in Minotaur City when Talos was killed trying to rescue a Elven friend. Talos's family would be very grateful if the item was returned to his Elven homeland. --Blade Stone: This unquie magic sharpening stone was a gift to the King of Lockin: Regulas, by the Dwarf King: Thorlin. When used upon a normal edged weapon properly the stone will give the edge of that weapon the equivalent of a +1 bonus for one weeks time. The stone can be used to sharpen 100 edges before coming useless and can only be used once on any edge. _____________________________________________________________________________ All for now, more on the way!!
