 POSTING EXPECTATIONS

Lurkers and players must both subscribe to the eGroups mailing list. You cannot be involved without an account at eGroups.

Lurkers do not have to post, and in general will not post. They may not make IC replies, but may make OOC comments if they wish, or answer the various polls and questionaires that occur throughout the year.

Players must post at least twice a week in order to play, though of course, exceptions are made for real-life, vacations, sickness, etc. This is more a general trend than an absolute rule.

If you are going away from the game for a while, either for vacation, work related reasons, a needed break, or for a wild safari, please be kind enough to let the GM know you will be away.

If you do not post for two weeks in a row, and I cannot get in contact with you, I will remove you from the active player's list and put you on lurker status. If in another two weeks, we still don't hear from you, you (even on lurker status) you will be dropped from the game.

 POSTING GUIDELINES

When you post, you are to write in the third person narrative. Example, "Joe walked to the door and opened it."

Include in the subject of the email something appropriate to the thread in question. Thus, as above, one could write in the subject field, 'Joe at home'.

Many times, I will provide the subject header.

Please edit ongoing threads so that old text is edited out. Leave enough to give a sense of continuity from thread to thread, however. Avoid four paragraphs of old text with a two word reply at the botton.

It is best not to reply with one word responses. Make your posts count. They should add to the value of the story.
