The world known as faerun was originally created by tsr, but has undergone so many changes by my own hand in the two years that our campaign has been running, that it is now almost unrecognisable to those of you familiar with the forgotten realms. Although chapter one is the first entry to this website, it is certainly not the first game. All the characters are high leveled veterans who have been through many adventures already. Not to fear though, the players love these characters almost like family and we all plan to continue this story line for years to come. Years ago (both in game and out) an evil deity known only as the Dark One descended onto Faerun and cast powerful spells affecting the entire world. Firstly, all adventurers levels or "rankings" as they're called in game would now be displayed on the backs of their necks in the form of a single number. This made it easier for The Dark One and his minions to see who might be a threat. Secondly, The Dark One selected one champion from each race who was to be granted unique powers. These "Champions" became The Dark One's army. However, our adventuring party who has been thwarting the Dark One while managing to remain nameless and faceless to him (thus earning the name, The Secret Heroes) has destroyed almost all of these Champions. Finally, The Dark One had three beings who fell second in power only to himself. The weakest of these powerful creatures is known as Darion and it is unknown as to whether he survived a clash with the Secret Heroes some time ago. The second most powerful was known as Orcus, Lord of the Undead. This demonic being was destroyed by the party in a climactic battle that nearly cost the Secret Heroes their lives. The most powerful of these three creatures is Ygorl, Lord of Entropy. This demon rules a small section of Hell itself. He has recently captured a weakened Goddess known as Waukeen, Goddess of Finance and trade. This has sparked the Heroes interest in actually travelling to Hell through what is known as the Infinite Staircase and rescuing Waukeen.
