Terran Strategies
Defense (Non-rush) Always begin by building at least 8 SCVs (With all gathering minerals.) Build a Barracks ASAP. Then build a Supply Depot. Build another Barracks ASAP, and then another Supply Depot. During this construction, continue producing SCVs until you have 10-12. Send a SCV to scout for your entrance and other possible base locations. When your 1st Barracks is done begin building Marines. Build 3-4 bunkers at the entrance to your base and build enough Marines to fill all (16) and have at least 3 outside to draw fire. (this allows your bunkers to withstand a large rush) Have an SCV near bunkers to repair them quickly after the first rush. Build a Factory and Refinery next, and continue producing SCVs until you have at least 15, with 3-4 on Gas, the rest on Minerals. Add a Machine shop to your Factory, begin building 2 tanks and research Seige Tank. Then build a Starport and Science facility. Upgrade to Control tower and Physics Lab ASAP. Now build an Armory and Engineering Bay and continue producing 4 more tanks and at least 6 Marines to establish a new base.Build 3 Missle Turrets even spaced at your home base. If you have not already started a new base, do so now! First build 2 bunkers and an Missle Turret set Tanks to Seige, then build a Command Center. Don't forget to upgrade your weapons when possible in all this. Research Wraith Cloaking and Yamamato Gun. Then build 4-6 Wraiths and 4-8 BattleCruisrs and get ready for an attack. You can use Wraiths and BattleCruisers as Defense until you have enough for an effective attack, but be sure to repair them all before you send them to battle. Do this by using an SCV to repair any damaged Machines. Another Good defensive move is to research Spider Mines and Build 4-6 Vultures. Spread Spider mines around the Entrance to your Base, but space them out and don't put them where they could follow an enemy close to you and blow you both up. Vultures are also good at recon, research Vulture speed and send them out to find all enemy bases and potential bases for you. If your Defense is weaker, or they get a large following of enemies, don't lead them back to Base, sacrifice the Vulture for the common good.

If you build additional Supply Depots nearer the entrance of your base, the enemy will often take the time to destroy them, giving you time to either build up a quick defense, or levitate and move to safety. Thanks to Wolvblood{SQ} for that paticular info.
Another idea is to block your entrance with Supply Depots & build 3-4 bunkers behind them. Add 3 Seige tanks to that & when the enemy attacks you can pick them off at your convenience. (don't forget to build a couple of Missle Turrets for air units) This allows you to build like crazy & upgrade, but be careful that you've got enuff space for building, and that you've got enough gas & minerals to follow thru. You can expand by shuttling an SCV to your next base with some air support.
The first law of attacking is destroy your enemies workers. Workers are the enemies blood cut off his workers and cut his blood. Try attacking from the side with your airborn units and when he withdraws his forces to fend them off, send the ground forces up the gut. Use ghosts for locking down large machines (BattleCruisers and Tanks) and for scoping out bases and Nukeing. Nukes can be good, but can be time consuming to get your ghost in the right spot that they can also be a hazzard. Be careful not to overcommit to an attack, and be vulnerable to a retaliation. Continue producing units and upgrading. Use Seige Tanks and BattleCruisers for all attacks, they are always essential. Also take a Science Vessel with you to scope out hidden ships or ghosts. Firebats are also important if you are attacking Zerg or Protoss, as both Zerglings and Zealots must come close to attack. FireBats do the most damage to these units. Using Stim-Paks can be helpful, but you cannot repair damage done to the units. Use them carefully.
Attack Strategies (Non-rush)
Rush Stratagies Start off with 8 SCVs on minerals. Build a Barrack ASAP and then while it is building-build a Supply Depot. Continue producing SCVs until you've got 10-12. Send one to scout for the enemy. When the Barracks is done, immediately begin building another and start building as many Marines as possible. When the 2nd Barracks is done build another Supply Depot. Pump out Marines until 10-15 are done, and go attack. Continue producing units during the attack. Don't forget to notice what species you are facing. Zerg are easier to defeat this way but they will be ready to attack quicker try building 2 Bunkers and storing marines there until you're ready to attack. Protoss will be slower than you, but are harder to defeat. When you attack Protoss, use FireBats for the Zealots, and try to get to the Probes with the Marines. Don't commit to an attack and lose your entire force w/o continueing to upgrade your defense, or you're dead meat.
