History
On a mission for the All-Star Squadron in late April, 1942. The duo known as TNT and Dyna-Mite encounter Axis America, a group of Axis metahuman agents sent to America to destroy the US infrastructre and cause damage and confusion to the Allies. During the course of this battle, TNT was killed. Dyna-Mite was saved and aided by a local, Arn "Iron" Munro, who possesed superhuman abilities. Returning with Dyna-Mite to the Squadron's Headquarters, as the team was also being attacked by Axis America, Iron Munro aided the heroes, along with Helena Kosamtos, a ward of Johnny Quick, who became the magically enhansed heroine known as Fury. Saving the day was another youthful hero arriving from Canada, Flying Fox. The four young heroes headed out to the West Coast to track down Axis America, only to meet up with two more young heroes, Neptune Perkins and Tsunami, a young nissei who had just recently left the Japanese Navy, hoping to aid her American friends.
After routing the forces of Axis America, the five young heroes were invited to join the All-Star Squadron on a probationary basis, as a sort of Public Relations arm to the group, appeariing at bond rallys and such. They took the name of The Young All-Stars.
For several months, the group had several adventures, such as stopping the Nazi group called The Black Circle in gaining control of alien technology of Neptune Perkins' grandfather. They also aided another group of young metahumans collected by the Allied countries, known as The Young Allies, in keeping safe America's Atomic Weapons program.
After putting a stop to the overthrow of Rioguay by Arn's biological father and his army, the group was asorbed into the All-Star Squadron and disbanded.

History: The only child of Charles and Judith Dunbar, young Danny was a lonely boy who found friendship in his track coach and chemistry teacher, Tex Thomas. While Thomas was working on a secret chemical compound, he and Danny found that they were asorbing certain properties from the chemicals, and when treated with a slight electical contact, found that the duo had aquired super-powers.
Thomas and Dunbar decided to use the abilities to fight crime and a short time before the US entry into World War II adventured as TNT and Dyna-Mite. They were invited to join the wartime conglomerate of mystery-men known as The All-Star Squadron and on one of those missions for the group, while investigating suspected spy activiites near Boulder, CO, TNT was killed by Nazi spies.
Fearing that his short career as a mystery-man was over, Dyna-Mite first joined up with several other young heroes that banded together during that case and formed the All-Star Squadron sub-group known as The Young All-Stars. Dyna-Mite found that he could now activate the concussive electrical blasts on his own, and continued on with his career. His parents found out about his secret identity in mid-1942, but it is unknown what happened after that revelation.
About two years ago, however, along with other former "sidekicks" of World War II heroes, he formed the advocacy group known as "Old Justice," hoping to control and restrict younger meta-humans under governmental controls.

History: Flying Fox was the son and heir of the chief of a hidden tribe of Indians living in northern Canada. For many years the tribe avoided contact with the white man's civilization.
During World War II the Nazis learned about the tribe. Armed Nazis came ashore in Northern Canada from a U-Boat to attempt to get the tribe to engage in guerilla warfare against the Canadian government. When the tribe's shaman refused to fight against the Canadian government, the Nazi commander had his men shoot the tribe's chief dead.
The chief's son, who at that time was known by a different name than "flying fox", was grief-stricken over the murder of his father. The shaman directed the youth to go to a lost cavern to obtain the cape and cowl of the magical flying fox. The shaman permanently painted the emblem of the flying fox onto the chest of the chief's son, who was renamed Flying Fox. The youth also received training in the use of his new magical powers from the shaman. Flying Fox was sent by the shaman and the tribe to the United States to help in the war effort against Nazi Germany.
The 19 year old Flying Fox arrived in New York in April 1942 and, along with other new young super-heroes, helped the All-Star Squadron defeat Axis Amerika.
On President Franklin Roosevelt's request, Flying Fox joined six other young members of the All-Star Squadron on a cross-country tour to encourage the buying of War Bonds (these seven heroes were nicknamed the "Young All-Stars"). His ultimate fate is, however, unknown.

History: Helena Kosmatos was a young Greek whose father was killed in 1940 by Italian fascists who had invaded Greece. The Germans invaded Greece in the following year.
One evening of 1941 in her home in Athens, 15-year-old Helena angrily accused her brother Michael of collaborating first with the Italians and then with the Germans. When Helena produced evidence supporting her charges, her distraught mother suffered a fatal heart attack. Helena accused Michael of causing their mother's death, and he fled.
Helena went after him but was herself pursued by German soldiers. She ran to the Areopagus (the hill of Ares) and there stamped her foot in rage while cursing her brother. By doing so, Helena unwittingly called upon the three Furies of ancient myths, deities who mercilessly avenged crimes.
An earth tremor caused Helena to fall down a crevice into a cavern where she met the Kindly Ones. One of them, Tisiphone the Blood Avenger, asked Helena if she wanted to kill her brother. When Helena said yes and that she would pay any price to avenge her mother's death, Tisiphone touched Helena on the right shoulder with her scythe, endowing her with some of Tisiphone's own power.
Helena found herself back on the hill, possessing the armor and super-powers of the Fury. As Fury she overcame the Nazi soldiers who had pursued her ; then, transformed into an incarnation of Tisiphone the Blood Avenger, she found Michael piloting a boat carrying Nazi agents and killed him.
Back in her normal form, Helena drifted in the Aegean sea until she was rescued by Johnny Chambers, who later joined the All-Star Squadron as Johnny Quick. He took her to America, where she went to live with her uncle and aunt in Miami.
At first Helena thought she had dreamed her meeting with the Furies and her transformations. But she became Fury again in April 1942 and helped the All-Star Squadron battle Axis Amerika. Now aware that she had superpowers, Helena joined the Squadron as one of the new "Young All-Stars". It is known that her meeting with Hippolyta (the "mother" of Wonder Woman II), during he two years Hippolyta spent in the 1940s as Wonder Woman I, had a strong impact on Helena, who almost considered Hippolyta her mother.
Helena later married and gave birth to a daughter, named Hippolyta after the Amazon whom Helena respected so much but raised by a wealthy family, the Trevor. Hippolyta Trevor became the second Fury (who herself became the mother to the current Dream Lord). However, loosing her virginity meant the loss of Helena's powers, and her retirement. Things did not go too well for her : Hippolyta disappeared until recently, she was separated from her daughter for years, and the later died under highly tragic circumstances involving the Furies, which also led to the loss of her son (Helena's grandson), who left the realms of mortals.
Helena was again full of rage, and the Furies again responded, granting her new powers. Her rage was directed at Wonder Woman II, whom she considered to have stolen her "mother" (Hippolyta) and caused the loss of her daughter. After having been calmed down, she was taken to Hippolyta on Paradise Island to be healed of all the mental and emotional damage done to her over the years.

First Appearance: Young All-Stars# 1, May, 1986.
History:Originally, Arn "Iron" Munro (Iron was his middle school baseball nickname), knew he was faster and stronger than any three of his classmates combined. Growing up in Indian Creek, Colorado, he was ready to leave the small town behind and seek his fortune in the world when during a date in May of 1942, he aided the young hero Dyna-Mite against some Nazi sabatours and Gurda, the Valkyrie. Stretching his abilities to their limits, Arn found that even small arms fire could not harm him and he could leap nearly an eighth of a mile. Unable to save Dyna-Mite's partner, Arn accompanied him back to New York and found himself united along with the All-Star Squadron against Axis America and fought Ubermench, who had similar powers and abilities to his own.
Wanting to join the Army, but unable to since he was only 17, Arn took up with several other young heroes in the (mostly) Public Relations oriented group The Young All-Stars. Arn resisted wearing a "super-hero" costume (except for a brief time), and the group was later folded into the Squadron as a whole.
Arn found out the reasons for his superior abilities after reading the diaries prepared by his true father, Hugo Danner. Danner's own father created a series of chemical additives that were administered to him in vitro, and after Hugo grew up, he roamed the world, eventally faking his death and returning to Indian Creek to father Arn with his highschool sweetheart, Anna Blake. Anna was married to John Munro at the time and kept the brief liason from him. Leaving for the jungles of South America to create a race of supermen like himself, the now insane Hugo Danner and his "Sons of the Dawn" were destroyed by Arn and the All-Star Squadron.
Arn's activities from 1942 through the late 1950's are unknown, but he later joined the US government's secret Task Force X's Argent division, teaming for a time with The Phantom Lady, marrying her and fathering a child that was stolen while still in its mother's womb by Baron Blitzkrieg, a former Nazi super-soldier now working for the USSR. Arn lost contact with Sandra Knight and has been searching for her since that time. The group Argent also went underground several years later, hindering Arn's search efforts.
Arn continued to work for the US government for a time, but he is now mostly retired, and he has been married and divorced at least two other times.

History: Bored college student Paula Brooks acted on one of her infatuations, with famous big game hunter Paul Kirk. Studying every facet of his life and trailing him on some of his adventures as Manhunter, Paula decided to herself become a "hunter of men". Training with her Japanese gardner and studying a variety of weapons, she designed a large collapsable crossbow and decided to join up with Kirk and stow away on a mission with the Young All-Stars to prove her worth not only to him, but to join the group.
Her firtatious ways and nearly sadistic fighting style caused some friction in the group, she accompanied them on a mission to protect Allied atomic scientists in June, 1942. During a battle, she was killed, only to be resurrected by Gurda, a Valkyrie. The ressurection brought forth a darker side to her personality, splitting her away from her heroic career, into a downward spiral that, after a brief attempt at redemption directed by Paul Kirk, in the late 1940's began her criminal career, hunting down heroes and focusing on Wildcat in particular, and renaming herself The Huntress.
After the heroes had retired in the early 1950's, and she had spent several years in prison, The Huntress met and fell in love with fellow criminal The Sportsmaster. In a competitive spirit, in the mid-1960's the two drew out of retirement Starman and Black Canary and Wildcat for a while. The two of them produced a daughter, Artemis, who would later follow in her mother's footsteps and take the name Tigress.
As advancing age slowed her down, The Huntress went into semi-retirement, coming out recently as a coach of the villain-influenced Olympic team from the island nation of Zandia.

History: Miya Shimada was born in the United States of Japanese immigrant parents, and sent back to Japan for her formal education, as was the custom among many Japanese-Americans before World War II. While there, she was taken under the wing of a group of Japanese scientists, who changed her physiology trying to create an ultimate Japanese warrior.
After the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor, Miya, now codenamed "Tsunami" (Japanese for "great wave"), used her abilites to aid in the attack on the American mainland in February, 1942. Shown the error of her ways by another aquatic hero Neptune Perkins, she left the Japanese Imperial Navy and remained at first neutral, but then discovering that her family had been interred at a concentration camp, joined with the other young members of the Young All-Stars to change the belief that ALL Japanese-Americans were spies and sabateurs.
Battling the predudice within and without, Tsunami aided the Allied war effort at least until mid-1942. It was revealed that later, she wed her friend Neptune Perkins.
Until recently, she believed that Neptune Perkins was the father of their daughter, Deborah, but it was discovered that the biological father was Rhombus, a mystical enemy from earlier in their careers. The Perkins split up over this discovery.
