Powers: All of Rak-Nora's powers seem to be mystical in nature.

Web Spinning: Rak-Nora can create or conjure thick, sticky webs of EX (20) strength from her fingers. She can create them only in the traditional "net shapes" people associate with spiders, and has a range of one area. Rak-Nora cannot be entangled in her own webs.

Wall Climbing : Rak-Nora can cling to walls and ceilings with RM (30) strength - even to supposedly "non-stick" surfaces.

Fangs: Rak-Nora's RM strength fangs inflect GD (10) damage and inject a paralyzing poison of AM (50) strength.

Hypnotic Voice : Rak-Nora's voice can enchant people (perhaps only men) with Ex (20) ability.

Teleportation: Rak-Nora can teleport with PR (4) ability. This allows her to teleport up to 25 miles distance, as long as she's unbound. If she's been tied or restrained in any way, she cannot use this power. She also cannot teleport into personal dwellings.

Transformation (self) : Unlike the Tarantula, Rak-Nora can control her personal transformations. She can become a Tarantula-Woman (gaining the stats above, along with the powers of Web Spinning, Wall Climbing and Fangs), revert to her human form (in which she may only Teleport or use Hypnotic Voice), become a regular sized Tarantula (with all FASE stats at Feeble and only access to her Web Spinning, Wall Climbing and Fangs power at Poor) or become a fully formed Giant Tarantula, in which for she swells to the size of a Volkswagon and aquires very different FASE stats.

In this form she can speak and make use of her Web Spinning, Wall Climbing and Fangs powers.

Transformation (others) : While she is in her temple, Rak-Nora can transform anyone who does not already suffer from the Curse of the Tarantula into either a Giant Tarantula or a regular sized Tarantula. As regular Tarantulas, a persons stats all drop to Feeble (2) and they aquire a Poison bite, Web Spinning and Wall Climbing at Feeble (2) rank.

As Giant Tarantulas, a transformed human gains a +1 to Fighting, -1 to Agility, +2 to Strangth and Endurance, while losing -2 from Reason and Psyche and gaining the powers of Web Spinning, Wall Climbing and Poison Fangs at EX (20) rank. Thus a typical Humans stats after transforming would be...

History: Much of what little we know of Rak-Nora's history was covered under the "Tarantula" entry. There, she's was ravaging the country side with her giant Tarantula's, when the first Count Eugene Lycosa leads the mob in her capture. She's burned at the stake, and curses the Count to become a Were-Tarantula...along with all the first born sons of his future generations.

Now, under normal circumstances...being burned at the stake would take the ginger out of anyone's snaps. But not Rak-Nora. Hundreds of years later, a thug named Frank (who'd just escaped death at the fangs of the Tarantula) stumbles into a little curio shop and finds a copy of "Ancient History of the Middle European Spider Cults". He feels compelled to by the book, and wanders away from the shop in a trance.

"Until he arrives at the entrance to a mountain cavern that was once the scene of dark, unholy rites performed by an ancient cult of evil!"

Deep inside the cave he finds a crude statue of a giant spider, and upon uttering the mystic words "ARGATH...SAGOR-TA...TERRANI...ELUTA!" the brazier at his side begins to burn brighter and brighter...until Rak-Nora steps out of the flames!

She makes short work of her liberator, transforming into her Tarantula-Woman form and feeding on his blood. Then she goes in search of the current Count Lycosa. Finding that he's out, she slays his manservant , Joseph (the brother of Crispin) and leaves his body tangled in her webs as a calling card to Lycossa.

Then she goes in search of humans she can transform into her minions. She finds three fellows in a waterfront bar, and seduces them into following her back to her temple/cave. There she transforms them into Giant Tarantulas, which she send to capture a pair of police officers for her. Once they've brought the officers to her, she uses her Hypnotic Voice to command them to arrest Count Lycosa. One of the police knocks Lycosa unconscious while in the car, and they take her to Rak-Nora's cave.

There, Rak-Nora intends to burn him alive, but he transforms into the Tarantula and breaks free. Realizing that she'd underestimated his powers, she sends her three Giant Tarantulas after him. He kills all three of them, then goes in search of the Priestess. After emerging onto a cliff over the foamy surf of the Atlantic Ocean, he finds that she's vanished into thin air.

Then (having been clinging to the cliffside above him) she leaps atop him and they roll and struggle, teetering on the edge of the drop-off. Rak-Nora strikes a blow that puts her off balance and the Tarantula hefts her into the air and hurls her down the side of the cliff and into the Atlantic.

That's not the end! That CAN'T be the end! I'll just bet that she teleported away at the last minute. Or perhaps some thug out there is buying a copy of "Ancient History of the Middle European Spider Cults" right now...then wandering off into the mountains...looking for a cave...

Description: In her human form, she's a beautiful woman with long, brown hair, purple top and loincloth decorated with a spider at her waist. As a female Tarantula she's hairy and greenish, with a blood red mouth and leg-like, hairy braid extensions off her chin and back. As a Giant Tarantula, she has a mouth instead of the beak-like jaws of her other Giant Tarantulas.

Personality: Rak-Nora will act seductive if it will get her what she wants, but she sees humans as nothing but food or future minions.
