JSA/ALL-STAR SQUADRON Background

On December 6, 1941 President Franklin D. Roosevelt tried to get in touch with the Justice Society of America as he wanted them to go to the Pacific and stand guard in case the Japanese should initiate an attack. However, before the JSA recieved word that they were needed they were captured by a timetravelling Per Degaton. Only Hawkman, Atom, and Dr. Mid-Nite had been able to beat the agent Degaton had sent to capture them. But before the Roosevelt's agents were able to locate the three remaining heroes the Japanese had already attacked Pearl Harbor.

When the three Justice Society members showed up at the White House they had been joined by Sargon, Robotman, Liberty Belle and Johnny Quick. Realizing that it was too late to send the heroes to the Pacific. Instead he wanted them to mobilize every costumed hero in the nation in a big powerful unit, an All-Star Squadron, responsible to no one but the Roosevelt himself. All six heroes immediately agreed and the Squadron was formed.

The All-Star Squadron was then sent off to the West Coast to prevent a possible attack on the mainland by the Japanese.
