INFERNO

During the Inferno the entire city of New York was under the influence of Demon Magic. It was a time during which several factions tried to take control over Limbo and/or the earth. S'ym tried to become ruler of Limbo while his supposed ally N'Astirh planned on nothing less than conquering Limbo and Earth. N'Astirh enlisted the aid of Madelyne Pryor who became the Goblyn Queen, but she herself had other plans. During all this Mr.Sinister made his move against the X-Men and X-Factor.

By the magic of N'Astirh and the powers of Madelyne Pryor a huge gate was oppened above New York through which hordes of Demons entered New York. The entire city was also transformed with buildings that began growing, mailboxes that ate people and police cars that were turned into monsters. Of course also the people in this city were effected by this Inferno madness.

While the Avengers and the other resident super-heroes fought various demons and other villains attracted by the chaos the New Mutants, X-Men, X-Factor and X-Terminators managed to stop N'Astirh, S'ym, the Goblyn Queen and Mr.Sinister.


GAME EFFECTS

During Inferno various people and super-heroes were effected by the INFERNO MADNESS, in game terms every character should make a Psyche Feat every hour they are in the effected areas. Should they fail they experience the following effects. - +1CS on all Combat FEAT's (except evading and dodging). - -1CS on Intuition - no karma loss for killing opponents, but only half karma awards for the time they are infected. - they may not pull their punches. - when in combat they must make a Psyche Feat or become irritated by one of their team-mates who will then be attacked. - no teamwork - the Judge should make a secret AM roll during critical combat situations. If he fails to make a Yellow Feat the afflicted character fumbles, thereby hindering other characters as the Judge sees fit. After each combat they may make a Red Psyche Feat to snap out of it. New York was also infected by a horde of demons from Limbo, stats for some of them may be as high as MN (a challenge for the players) but almost all of them were normal demons: LIMBO DEMONS F A S E R I P EX TY EX TY PR GD PR 20 6 20 6 4 10 4 Health:52 Karma:18 Claws: TY damage Flight: TY Body Armor: TY Also a lot of INANIMATE OBJECTS were somehow animated, becoming aggresive and sometimes very dangerous. They usually had only limited mobility and there stats were equal to their material strength. There were cases of some objects being able to absorb human beings (lifts, mailboxes) with AM ability. The absorbed humans were returned to life after the Inferno. POLICE CARS F A S E R I P GD PR RM IN FB PR FB 10 4 30 40 2 4 2 Health:84 Karma:8 Movement: TY speed at 2 legs. Bite: RM edged damage. Finally the magical energies in the cities and the panic and terror of the citizens inbued telepaths with a -2CS to their abilities.
