Ed. note: There are a few spots that the GM needs to decide how close he wants it to run like the comic book. A few things need to happen or a different way of doing the same thing figured out.

Since there are a ton of characters, use the ones players aren't running as NPC's because they'll need everybody. An NPC can help guide the adventure a little without taking away the players creative ideas.

Please read through the adventure and ask any questions you have. I may not have made some things clear enough, need more description of places, maps to use, anything at all that you're not sure of in order to better run this ask and I'll try and answer them. I'm guessing most of you don't have all the issues to this story.

I wrote this up on the premise that the players do generally the same things as happened in the comic books. That is never going to happen, but that is the only way I could do this. There are any number of other ways to do things.

So enjoy and I hope some people can run this or a portion of this adventure in their campaigns or as a special one-shot game.

Chapter 1:

It Came from Outer Space
Summary: Captain America is contacted by Rick Jones about a dream he had. Jones is captured by the Shi'ar Imperial Guard while Cap was fighting Warstar.
Starting: 5:00 a.m. at Avengers Hqtrs., New York

Captain America is in the Avengers' communications center, where Peggy is on duty. A call comes in on the view screen.

"Rick Jones calling the Avengers. Come in, somebody!"
"Cap, you busy or you got a minute to hear something a bit wacky?"
"I had a dream of the Kree homeworld of Hala. The streets were crowded with people looking up at the sky. Everything turns white, the wind picks up and everyone begins dropping to the ground. There is dust flying through the air. Everyone on the entire planet is dead. The only survivor I see is you. You lower your head after looking at what happened, then your head explodes and the face of the Kree Supreme Intelligence is there laughing."

Jones tells Cap he can meet him at a highway diner in Benson, AZ. The pair can sit inside for breakfast and go over things. Before the conversation can go too far, a giant green robot crashes through the wall and grabs Jones.

Use an outdoor map with lots of room. Designate the diner and the highway as the main landmarks. Cap at the moment does not know who he is fighting. This is Warstar, of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. After grabbing Jones, Warstar says, "Do not struggle terran. It merely forces us to increase the force of our grip."

Upon seeing Cap, Warstar says, "Our quarry would seem to have an ally. Oracle should have warned us. No big deal, in the terran vernacular."

At an opportune time, B'nee can leap off of C'cil's back and attack Cap using his IN electrical touch. At some point Warstar will drop Jones due to Cap's attacks. Jones needs to get away somehow from the fight. Possibly on Cap's skycycle if John Jameson flew him here, or maybe by taking the Quinjet. While Cap is busy, Jones is then abducted by other members of the Imperial Guard. If necessary to facilitate this part of the adventure, Electron, Tempest and Oracle can also attack Cap in order to capture Jones. If Warstar can knock out Cap, then this is all made a lot easier. If Warstar can get away with or without Jones he will do that.

Chapter 2:

Turn of the Sentry
Summary: Captain America and the West Coast Avengers track down the wherabouts of the just kidnapped Rick Jones. The trail leads them to a abandoned Kree outpost, where the Imperial Guard are met once again.
Starting: Benson, AZ

Rick Jones is interrogated by the mind reader Oracle while the Imperial guard is holding him. She probes for information on Captain Mar-vell and specifically, the subterranean Kree laboratory where Jones first met Mar-vell. They hope to find the Psyche-Magnetron there.

If Captain America does not think of calling the West Coast branch, Peggy back in New York could have called the WCA since he is closer to them.

The West Coast team of Ironman, Scarlet Witch, U.S. Agent, Spiderwoman, Wonderman, Living Lightning and Hawkeye fly to Benson, AZ to pick up Cap. To track Jones, he couldhave Cap's skycycle and they could track it. Or pick up the energy trail of the Shi'ar ship.

The trail leads to a subterranean cave in the southwest desert. The tunnel area is small, but opens into a pretty wide underground room, with a high ceiling. When the Avengers arrive, the Imperial Guard's Oracle, Electron and Tempest are engaged in battle with a Kree Sentry. The I.G. look to escape with the Psyche-Magnetron, while the Avengers fight the Sentry. Warstar may be able to attack from behind if still free.

"Fellow Shi'ar, we have what we need. Can we go now?" remarks Tempest.
"Shi'ar, Earthlings, it's all the same to a Kree Sentry. All intruders are to be destroyed."

The Avengers may also find a weapon to use among the Kree machines. If someone is knocked away from the main battle, roll their Intuition to see if they notice a big gun. The group could get split up between fighting the Sentry, Shi'ar and chasing after them and Jones. The Sentry has EX growth, energy blasts and can form a cage made of collodial atoms.

The Sentry will self-destruct if loss is iminent. This is the time for the I.G. to escape if they haven't alredy. The robots destruction will cause the cave itself to start collapsing.

"A Sentry can never surrender. A sentry must be true to its programming. Thus, if I cannot destroy those who have invaded this outpost, I must destroy the outpost."

The Avengers can call Quasar to try and intercept the Shi'ar ship before it escapes. Otherwise, he can be in the vicinity and notice the ship leaving Earth's orbit. The ship boards the mother ship and begins to enter a warp hole in space. A black solar flare hits Quasar as he prepares to chase the ship through the warp hole. He is unable to follow as its trail has been erased.

Chapter 3:

The Tomb of Mar-vell
Summary: Quasar meets Starfox at Captain Mar-vell's tomb-world. Captain Atlas and Dr. Minerva are found trying to steal Mar-vell's Nega Bands. More members of the Imperial Guard are also met.
Starting: Outer space, between the Earth and the Sun.

Quasar may wonder if the solar activity was coincidental or triggered by the hyperspace opening. A Reason feat roll and he will remember there is a manned solar observatory outside Mercury's orbit, named Starcore. An Intuition feat may be allowed to recognize it was a BLACK solar flare that hit Quasar at the stargate entrance. Scientists at Starcore can give him the following information: solar flare activity has definitely been above normal levels, very possibly due to the warping of space so close to the sun.

Quasar's communicard beeps: Peggy at Avengers hqtrs. says, "I received a call from Avenger-on-leave Starfox. He says that someone's tripped the proximity alarms around Captain Mar-vell's tomb-world. I told him we'd send someone if we could. You're our fastest Avenger if you can spare the time." There is an eight minute time lag for communications, so Quasar cannot speak directly to Peggy.

When Quasar travels to the tiny moon in orbit around Saturn, there is a small space ship tethered to the moonlet. Starfox is inside waiting for him, though Quasar will not immediately know who is inside. Starfox can become a PC at this junction.

Captain Atlas and Dr. Minerva are in the small tunnelway leading to Mar-vell's tomb. Quasar and Starfox should be able to surprise the two, but play out whatever happens. The Kree can be interrogated after their capture. Quasar remembers that Atlas promised never to venture into the solar system again.

Atlas says in response to being called on his previous agreement or when asked what they're doing here says, "The conditions under which I made that agreement have changed. The Kree are at war with the Shi'ar empire for the first time in our race's history."

Out of nowhere, about 20 members of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard attack. Use a rocky type outdoor map. Since the Kree are probably tied up by Quasar's quantum bands when the Shi'ar arrive, Minerva yells, "Free us! We'll be slaughtered like this."

Starfox's pleasure stimulating power does not seem to work, once he tries it. The I.G. will be able to pound there way through Quasar's force field. Atlas will sneak away from the fight and head for Mar-vell's tomb while the Avengers are fighting the Shi'ar. Any physical attacks directed at the I.G. go right through them as if they were intangible. None of the I.G. seem to be connecting with the Avengers either. Quasar only picks up energy emanations from three of the Guardsman. Only Impulse, Manta and Magic are real, the rest are illusions. During the fight, Minerva will find Magic and after knocking her out, the illusions disappear.

At this time back at the Avengers West Coast compound, the WCA is deciding what to do with Rick Jones. Jones wants to go back to the Pantheon and stay with the Hulk. The GM can let him do this, in that case Captain Atlas will soon be fighting the Hulk. Otherwise, get him to stay under Avengers protection. Wonderman is a good choice.

Minerva and Atlas have headed into the tomb during or after the battle. Atlas has stolen Mar-vell's Nega Bands. He says, "Listen to me Quasar, these are what the Shi'ar were after. The Shi'ar already have our Psyche-Magnetron. Atlas puts on the Nega Bands and after clanking them together, disappears and Rick Jones is there in his place. Jones is immediately in trouble as he cannot breathe.

Chapter 4:

Shared Space
Summary: Captain Atlas has Captain Mar-vell's Nega Bands and uses them to switch positions with Rick Jones. He jumps back and forth while fighting Wonderman.
Starting: Avengers West Coast Compound

Captain Atlas suddenly appears in the compound where Rick Jones was. Whoever was there guarding obviously is caught completely off guard. Atlas gets the first punch in as he was attacking Quasar when he switched, but also doesn't know where he is and says, "Where am I?" Quickly have somebody smashed through the wall and outside of the compound for the rest of this fight.

Atlas: "How did you bring me here? What have you done with Dr. Minerva? Where am I? Who are you? These are the things Atlas says during the fight. When he's told or figures out he is on Earth, he says "I have no business on this backwater planet. I must find Dr. Minerva and bring these Nega Bands." He then tries to fly away.

Back on Mar-vell's tomb-world, Jones can explain to Quasar after being supplied protection from space, about the Nega Bands and how he used to switch places with Mar-vell.

During the fight with Wonderman (or whichever Avenger) the Nega Bands bang together again switching Atlas and Jones. Wonderman needs to keep from decking Jones. Atlas reappears with Quasar, but quickly figures out what is happening and bangs the bands together again. He continues to use this tactic of jumping back and forth like a hit and run, frustrating whoever is fighting him. Wonderman needs to time the switches in order to deck Atlas. After the fight, Jones still wants to go back to the Hulk. The Kree and Shi'ar prisoners can be held at Project Pegasus.

Quasar, Starfox, Jones and Minerva can go back to the WCA compound after Atlas is beaten. The WCA are all there and a bicoastal meeting of all Avengers may be a good idea. Jones can go back to the Pantheon.

During these events, the Supreme Intelligence is putting together a new team of Kree soldiers he calls the Starforce.

Chapter 5:

Storm Gatherings
Summary: East Coast Avengers head into space to save the Starcore satellite from a solar flare, then are attacked by a Shi'ar starfleet. A meeting of all Avengers is held to go over information known so far and discuss future plans.
Starting: The Starcore satellite near the Sun.

The Avengers receive a distress call from the Starcore satellite that a solar flare is heading right at them. Thor, Sersi, Vision and Quasar head out to try and save it. The station is gone when they get there, without a trace it has been completely destroyed. Upon searching a lifepod is found. The scientists are alright.

Before rescuing the crew, a spatial disturbance takes the Avengers notice. A wormhole begins to form. The birth of a warp, a rip in the time/space continuum. A second hole forms across from it. Then, a space fleet comes throught it! The armada then begins to fire on the Avengers. The Avengers need to defend themselves, obviously, and protect the lifepod from Starcore.

Upon boarding one of the ships, the Avengers find they are fighting the Shi'ar. "I am praetor of this vessel. You are innocent victims of a conflict between two great powers, for which I apologize. Your anger is justified, but no praetor of the Shi'ar has ever allowed his ship to be taken." If the command ship is taken the Shi'ar will surrender. The Avengers must decide how to handle the fleet, whether to let them pass through the next warp, send them back through the one they came from, or force them to fly out of the system to another stargate. The Shi'ar want to continue on their way. Try to negotiate to pass on by allowing the Avengers to hold prisoners.

An Avenger NPC can call or suggest a group meeting of all active and reserve members in New York. Even with all the Avengers, they still aren't going to be able to do much against the entire Shi'ar and Kree empires. The Avengers need to somehow convince them to take their war elsewhere. The use of the sun to power the wormhole is causing gravimetric havoc with the sun, destabilizing its nuclear cohesion. The sun will eventually go nova. Two teams could be sent to each of the empires, with a third staying on Earth as rear guard. Wait and see where the players discussions go before suggesting this.

Here are suggested groups of Avengers to use:

Kree envoy: Captain America, Ironman, Crystal, Sersi, Hercules, Black Knight, Hawkeye. Shi'ar envoy: Thor, Wonderman, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, Starfox, Living Lightning. Earth force: She-Hulk, Falcon, Mockingbird, Spiderwoman, Hank Pym, Wasp, Gilgamesh, U.S. Agent. Quasar will also stay behind to guard the stargate.

These are the groups members it will be assumed are used for the rest of the adventure. Any changes will also need to be made in later chapters, as well as any adjustments. Hawkeye may also be allowed to take Hank Pym's growth serum to become Goliath, as he once did early in his career.

The Avengers can learn from the Silver Surfer that the new Kree leaders, General Dar-Benn and Ael-Dan, are fanatical in their desire to expand the empire. Quinjets can be refitted for space travel, and Quasar can send them on their way with a quantum jump. As the Avengers warp away, the enigmatic lifeform known as Her joins up with Quasar. She may be kept as an NPC or used as another PC in later chapters. Her tells Qusar, "I'm here to comfort you."

Chapter 6:

Decisions in a Vacuum
Summary: The Avengers Kree envoy arrive is Shi'ar space. After boarding a space station, they are engaged by the Kree and Shatterax, after which they are either captured or surrender and are taken to the Kree homeworld, Hala.
Starting: The fringe of Kree space.

Upon exiting the stargate, the Avengers are confronted by an enormous space station. The quinjet can magnetically lock onto the hull of the station, then find an airlock and make their way through the security measures. Non-spaceworthy Avengers will need appropriate equipment.

Once the Avengers are in, the first thing they notice is nobody's here. However, they have been detected by security systems. Homeworld authorities have been notified, and the Supreme Intelligence has sent Shatterax out to deal with the Avengers.

Let the players wonder around the halls of the station for awhile. If they want, Ironman can find a primary systems nexus to access the computer network from. Cracking the security codes will take a little while. While Ironman is hacking the network, the Avengers are attacked by a squad of 20 Shi'ar commandos. This is strange since they are on a Kree station. When a warrior is defeated he disintegrates. A second wave of soldiers arrives shortly after defeating the first group. Use a typical interiors map with lots of hallways and rooms.

Ironman eventually gets in the system and receives the following message: "Attention intruders on outpost 51K/Sigma. You are ordered by the authority of the Kree empire to cease hostilities. Enforcement agents are currently en route to your position. Upon their arrival, you will surrender yourselves into their custody for detainment and transport to Hala for judgment. Resistance will result in summary judgment and execution. This warning will not be repeated." If the players do not use this tactic, an announcement is made throughout the station that they hear.

A lot from here is up to what the players do. Ironman may go out to meet the approaching reinforcements. Shatterax should batter I.M. pretty good. Damage sustained will knock out his communications, cutting him off from the other Avengers. Shortly after Shatterax arrives, more starships show up. The Avengers can fight it out with the Kree, or surrender and be taken to Hala, which is where they want to go. They need to decide if they feel good about their chances of beating the Kree space fleet, then fighting their way into the Kree homeworld.

To continue with this group of Avengers, proceed to Chapter 8.

Chapter 7:

The War and the Warrior
Summary: The Avengers Shi'ar contingent arrives in Shi'ar space near a small planet being attacked. Gladiator of the Imperial Guard arrives and battles Wonderman and Thor. The Avengers then find their way to the Shi'ar homeworld.
Starting: Shi'ar space.

The Avengers come out of the stargate and are hit by a spacequake, causing some turbulence. They then notice a small planet ahead where the tremors originated from. A Kree starfighter is firing on the surface of the planet, and the Shi'ar are firing back. If the quinjet doesn't get out of the way, the Shi'ar will soon start firing at them.

Quinjet sensors detect something streaking toward the planet. It has been identified as the Shi'ar Imperial Guardsman Gladiator. How they deal with Gladiator is up to the players, but he will fight first and ask questions later. If the Avengers cannot subdue and detain Gladiator long enough to get the the Shi'ar throneworld, then somehow they must get him to listen to them. Use any outdoor map.

The Shi'ar will shoot down the starfighter if the Avengers don't help them. The ship can be searched before the Shi'ar get there. If the players do this, they see a lone skrull hit the self-destruct button. Why he was in the ship is up to the Avengers to find out.

Captain Marvel can detect an interplanetary S.O.S. being relayed to the Shi'ar homeworld and can follow it back to the Empress Lilandra. They may also be able to talk with the Shi'ar and be taken there or given directions. When the Avengers near the Shi'ar homeworld, they are met by a Shi'ar fleet of warships waiting for them. They can try and fight, or state their business and try to get a meeting with Lilandra.

To continue with this group of Avengers, proceed to Chapter 11.

Chapter 8:

Twenty Million Light Years from Earth
Summary: The Avengers, whether having been captured, surrendered, or whatever other means, arrive at the Kree homeworld.
Starting: Kree homeworld of Hala.

The GM will have to run this chapter according to what happened at the end of Chapter 6. It will assume the Avengers surrendered to Shatterax, in order to be taken to Hala.

Upon arrival, Ronan the Accuser immediately takes charge of the prisoners from Shatterax. "Accusers, restrain the prisoners." Other accusers move toward the Avengers with manacles. The Avengers need to find a way to escape into the city in order to find the Kree leaders and try to talk them out of using the stargate near Earth's sun.

Once the Avengers have effected their escape, announcements are heard and shown on giant view screens throughout the city about the escaped prisoners. There are giant floating billboards around the city, with messages of the Avengers complete with pictures. The players must decide on a means of searching the city, whether splitting up, getting disguises, etc. They will eventually find what looks like the central government building. At some point, Korath the Pursuer finds the Avengers, or one group of them and attacks.

To continue with this group of Avengers, proceed to Chapter 12

Chapter 9:

They also Serve
Summary: The Earth bound Avengers are on guard duty at Project Pegasus. The Imperial Guard attack and free their teammates. Captain Atlas also escapes.
Starting: Project Pegasus.

Earth's Avenger team is on guard duty at Project Pegasus. Mockingbird and U.S. Agent are taking their turn watching the prisoners. Nightside and Midget infiltrate the base and pearl harbor the two Avengers. Nightside also has an IN intensity concussion gun. After they free their fellow Shi'ar, the other Avengers can discover the breakout and help.

The Avengers may be able to recapture the Shi'ar, but they should be able to get away. While engaged with them Atlas and Minerva have also escaped and are making their way to the ship. Depending on how quick the battle is, they may get a chance at stopping them. The Kree need to get away during this encounter.

The Avengers soon discover though that Minerva is still locked up. The Guardsman Hobgoblin posed as Minerva so the Shi'ar could capture Atlas and get Mar-vell's Nega Bands.

The players can call Quasar to try and intercept the ship, or Quasar may notice it himself. If Quasar catches up to the ship, Guardsman Starbolt and Quasar come out to meet him and Her as the ship hits the stargate.

Chapter 10:

Spatial Deliveries
Summary: Quasar and Her fight Imperial Guardsman Starbolt and Quasar. Quasar then chases after the Shi'ar ship.
Starting: Outer space near Earth's sun.

Quasar and Her are attacked by Shi'ar Guardsman Starbolt and Quasar as their ship escapes. If the fight is won quickly enough, Quasar can go after the Shi'ar ship if he so desires. Her can remain to guard the stargate.

Quasar will catch up to the Shi'ar ship. He can try and board her or attack. The Shi'ar will stop fighting and let him aboard to talk, so as to avoid damage to the ship. Oracle, Tempest, Nightside, Warstar, Hobgoblin, Electron and Manta are on the ship, unless some were recaptured on Earth.

"We are the Imperial Guard. To engage you here would only serve to cause considerable damage to our starship. Let us negotiate."

Quasar knows they have Atlas prisoner. Atlas tells him they psychically interrogated him and took the Nega Bands.

"When we got to this galaxy, we matter transmitted the Nega Bands to our home star system." The Shi'ar will let Quasar take Atlas and go to avoid a fight.

Quasar, along with Atlas, can track the Nega Bands energy signature to a starship building yard in space. Quasar is approached by a woman with a very large energy signature, with fire and light emanating from her body.

"Go no further or you'll have to answer to me." If asked, she tells him, "I am Binary."
There can either be a fight or a conversation at this point.
"Your interference may cost the empire countless lives.

During the conversation/fight with Binary, Quasar is blindsided by other members of the Imperial Guard. Moondancer's sense dulling power kept Quasar from noticing them. Onslaught, Moondancer, Glom, Voyager and Solar Wind attack. If Binary is in a quantum force field, Glom eats her out of it. During the fight, Quasar gets slammed through a portal created by Voyager, which takes him out of the fight. He is unable to track this type of artificial portal. The Guardsman keep Atlas as their prisoner.

Chapter 11:

Death Adrift
Summary: The Avengers meet Empress Lilandra and the Starjammers. They discover the Shi'ar are going to tow the Nega bomb into Kree space.
Starting: The Imperial stargate on Chandilar, Shi'ar throneworld.

The Avengers must first talk there way past Prime Minister Araki. It is up to him if they get a meeting with Lilandra. Before getting to speak to Lilandra, the Starjammers confront Lilandra.

Corsair says he is an earthling and will not tow a military piece of this size and unknown nature through his solar system. The other Starjammers, Raza, Hepzibah and Ch'od will do their job. They are about to leave and take the Nega bomb through the Kree portal.

Wonderman or Vision may be needed as an NPC at this point, depending on what the players do and what the GM wants to happen at this point. Wonderman and the Vision can force their way onto the ship to try and stop it from being delivered. The Starjammers find and fight them if they board the portal. They may be able to negotiate their way aboard.

The Starjammers don't know they are transporting a bomb, they think it's a portal. It is a bomb that will turn the power of the Negative Zone into pure, destructive force. It will kill billions. The craft is a gigantic portal that must be towed to its destination and set off. The Avengers may be able to change their minds about the mission and what they should do.

If convinced to help, they need to check the damage to to the portal. The ship is almost ready to enter the stargate. The Starjammers can cut the portal loose to keep it from going through the stargate, but will strand the Avengers aboard.

To continue with this group of Avengers, proceed to chapter 15.

Chapter 12:

Assassination
Summary: The Avengers are near the Kree capitol, but are attacked by the Starforce. Deathbird assassinates the Kree leaders.
Starting: Outside the Kree capitol.

After defeating or getting away from Korath, the Avengers find the Kree capitol building. They may be together or split up, one group can radio the other with the location. As the Avengers are making their way towards the capitol, the Starforce attack. "Earthers, you are prisoners of the Kree empire! Surrender to Starforce!" Initial encounters have Ultimus fighting Hercule;, Atlas and Minerva vs. Cap; Shatterax and Crystal; Black Knight against Korath; Sersi and Supremor. The Starforce have been told by the Supreme Intelligence that the Avengers are hear to assassinate the Kree leaders.

During the battle, the Starforce stop fighting and look up. The Kree leaders have arrived and ordered a stop to all hostilitites. "We are Ael-Dann and Dar-Benn, sons of Pama, guardians of sacred Hala, commanders supreme of the Imperial Kree Empire. Tell us now, before you are executed why have you come to Kree-Lar?"

The Starforce answer first. "They are allies of the Shi'ar my lords. Sent here to murder you both, had we not stopped them." The Kree leaders do not know who all the members of the Starforce are, and such order their execution.

Before the Avengers get to speak, a force field appears trapping both the players and the Starforce. Deathbird drops down on the dais and kills the ruling Kree. "Hear me people of Hala, this is but a warning! Your leaders paid for their crimes against the Aerie. Such will be the fate of all Kree if the Shi'ar Imperium suffers any further assault. Mark my words and fear them, for we have power undreamt of. Beware it!"

Deathbird leaves, and Ronan arrives with everyone still trapped in the force field. The visage of the Supreme Intelligence appears on three giant monitors. "Behold now, o sons of the Kree, your once and present ruler, the Supreme Intelligence! I release you, my Starforce, from the base assassins energy field."

"I speak to all of Hala and throughout the Empire. This is a grievous day for our leaders are slain, cut down by foul Shi'ar treachery. I now assume the mantle of power. Those responsibly must pay. What say you of Lilandra, author of this crime?" The people chant death, death.

"So shall it be. Ronan, go to Chandilar with my Starforce and bring me the head of Lilandra. Atlas and Minerva will remain on Hala to guard these Terran spies. Tomorrow they shall suffer a most painful death in front of the entrire Kree empire!" The Avengers are taken prisoner.

Chapter 13:

Bad Judgment
Summary: The separate group of Avengers on Hala find out about the other members scheduled exectution. Ironman and Hawkeye set off to try and find Deathbird and the imprisoned Avengers.
Starting: In the city of Hala.

If there is a second group of Avengers still in the city, they need to find Deathbird to prove their teammates innocence and rescue them. Captain America is led away by Ronan for his official accusation. The rest of the Avengers are still in their cells.

The loose Avengers find the central building the other heroes are being held at and can affect a rescue attempt. They will meet up with Ronan. The rest of the Accusers only watch the battle.

The Avenger trying to find Deathbird may be able to force her to help find and rescue the others. They can free the rest of the team while the other is fighting Ronan. The other Accusers and Kree military then attack. Captain America was taken away before the rest were freed. The Avengers need to get away before being captured again. The hero with Deathbird learns that the Shi'ar have some type of bomb they are going to launch. This group of Avengers can go try and stop it from passing through the Kree stargate, but must decide to leave Cap behind. The GM will have to make adjustments if the players come up with another plan.

Chapter 14:

Now Strikes the Starforce
Summary: The Avengers are brought before Lilandra. The Kree Starforce arrive and attack. The Vision and Wonderman discover that the Skrulls have taken over towing the Nega Bomb into the stargate.
Starting: The Shi'ar throneroom.

The Avengers get their meeting with Lilandra, surrounded by Hussar, Astra, Hardball, Earthquake, Titan, and Smasher of the Imperial Guard.

"I am Lilandra, Majestrix Shi'ar. Behind me stands Lord Chamberlain Araki. You have been summoned to explain why you have dared violate the Shi'ar Empire during our time of intergalactic war with the Kree." Araki continually tries to suade Lilandra to ruling against the Avengers and not listening to what they have to say. The security of one insignificant planet does not matter. They recently helped the Kree attack a Shi'ar outpost. And one of them may even now be sabotaging our Nega-Portal.

After the discussion seems to be over, Lilandra sends the Avengers away while she thinks. They are to be held in security. After being taken away, the Kree Starforce and Ronan arrive. They split up to find and assassinate Lilandra. The Avengers can hear loud crashing sounds near where they are being kept. After breaking out to see what's going on, they find the Starforce fighting the I.G. One of them may want to check on the well being of Lilandra.

Earthquake is with Lilandra when Ultimus finds them. Saving her would be a big help in the Avengers getting co-operation from the Shi'ar. By saving her, Lilandra will recall the Nega-Portal.

The Skrulls have picked up the Nega-Portal and are continuing to the Stargate. Vision can go outside the ship and discover this fact after they feel the transport moving again.

Chapter 15:

Shi'ar Hatred
Summary: The Avengers meet with Lilandra after the Starforce have been defeated. The empress' prime minister is revealed to be a skrull.
Starting: Shi'ar throneroom.

The combined might of the Imperial Guard and the Avengers should be able to defeat the Starforce and Ronan. They are brought before Lilandra for judgment, and she rules they must die. The Avengers want to foster talks between the two empire's to try and bring about peace. The prime minister once again is against everything the Avengers say. The I.G. start to take the group back to their holding room, and are looking for a fight despite the help they received against the Kree. A fight may break out between the Avengers and the I.G.

The prime minister is actually a skrull. A stray shot from the fight can hit him and reveal his true form. This will bring Lilandra over to the Avengers side. She can be convinced to talk with the Kree. She will free Ultimus and send him back to Hala with a message.

Lilandra then tells the Avengers that the Nega-Bomb has disappeared. The skrull have taken the ship through the stargate near Earth.

Chapter 16:

The Scorched Sun
Summary: The skrull ship towing the Nega-Bomb enters the portal near Earth's sun. Her engages the Super Skrull as Quasar returns to help. The sun starts to go nova.
Starting: Outer space near Earth.

If Her is being run as a PC, a huge ship with another in tow comes through the first portal near Earth and heads for the second. Quasar arrives to find Her fighting the Super Skrull. Chapter 17:

Big Decisions
Summary: Vision and Wonderman try and stop the Nega Bomb, but it detonates.
Starting: Aboard the Nega-Portal.

A couple Skrulls find the Avengers aboard the Nega-Portal and attack. They then find the entrance to the Negative Zone and the field containing all the power to be unleashed. Another much larger Skrull force then attacks.

The Avengers leave Captain America behind on the Kree homeworld and head for Kree space, after calling Quasar or him telling them the bomb got through the portal. When they find the ship the Skrulls attack. As Vision and Wonderman finish up beating the Skrulls, the machinery around the Nega-Bomb begins to hum and its full destructive force is unleashed.

Chapter 18:

Empire's End
Summary: The Kree Empire has been destroyed by the Nega Bomb.
Starting: Deep space.

The bombs blast rattles through the heart of the Kree Empire. Quasar is 1.5 million miles away when it explodes and sees the white plasma wave heading toward him.

The problem for the players is figuring out how they survive it. The Vision and Wonderman were at ground zero of the blast which radiated outward, so despite having seen better days they can be found floating in space.

The Avengers (Captain Marvel, Starfox, Living Lightning, Thor, Scarlet Witch) heading that way from the Shi'ar can ride out the blast in the quinjet with minimal damage. The other group that left the Kree homeworld was right outside the ship when it exploded.

Give the players a chance to think of something to do, otherwise they're all dead. Sersi is capable of turning the molecular structure of all their bodies into inert matter. She will then need another Eternal like Starfox to bring them back. The players may come up with other ways of surviving.

Captain America may have been left back on the Kree homeworld. The Avengers should want to go back and find out what happened to him. If he is with the team, they can go back to see how bad things are. It is also possible to end the adventure right here.

Cap and Deathbird are still alive on Hala. The Supreme Intelligence reveals his true plan for the Kree. "Billions of Kree, 98% of the empire's populace is dead. The survivors are the jewels of the empire. Their genetic structure has had to quickly mutate and adapt to the Nega-Bomb's radiation. The Kree have at last escaped their evolutionary dead end and begin once more the climb to glory! I planted the idea for the Nega-Bomb in the consciousness of the Shi'ar and intensified suppressed suspicion and hatred in the minds of the Shi'ar and Kree leaders. Thus I engineered the start of the war and insured today's outcome."

The Avengers arrive on Hala and take in the destruction of the planet. Minerva and Atlas survived and blame them for the tragedy. Cap and Deathbird find them and tell everybody of the Supreme Intelligence's plan. Minerva knew of the plan. Atlas then tells Cap to get away as he has activated the self-destruct on his battlesuit. He begs you to destroy the Supreme Intelligence and make him pay for his crimes. Minerva throws herself on Atlas as he blows up.

Let the players decide what to do, kill the Supreme Intelligence or not. They can attack if they want, and he will let them believe he is destroyed. His intelligence escapes in a tiny pod and is recovered by the Skrulls so he can return again.

Lilandra then arrives with the Shi'ar to take possession of the planet and all her dominions in the name of the Shi'ar Imperium. She names Deathbird Vice-Roy of the fallen empire and names the Starforce as her Imperial Guard.
