DREDFAHL
Dredfahl is a geologically active planet with a tremendous amount of volcanic activity which has rendered its atmosphere toxic. Colonization of this world was attempted in the past, but these efforts were discontinued because of the hostile environmental conditions. Instead, Dredfahl became the Vegan System's garbage dump of both toxic and hazardous waste, and of sentient trash. There are a few plants and animals which have mutated and managed to survive and flourish amidst the waste.
For many years, Dredfahl was also used as a prison planet, and, although that has been abandoned, the ruthless exile society that arose among the prisoners remains in those who elected to stay upon the planet after the prison was relocated. Those who do not rule here wish only for a way off of Dredfahl.
If a member of an oxygen-breathing race remains unprotected on Dredfahl's surface they will begin to die.
