Bio-Spheric Energy Manipulation & Emission
Tyrant has the ability to channel and manipulate huge quantities of Bio-Spheric Energy (BSE) from which he derives his power & strength. This gives him CL. 1000 ability to manipulate the universe's ambient life force energies in an almost limitless number of stunts. The following stunts have been developed:

BSE force (FO) blast of SH-Z intensity and LOS range.
CL. 1000 Energy Sponge
SH-Z Channel
CL. 1000 Energy Absorption
CL. 1000 Energy Reflection

Bio-technology Mastery
Tyrant has CL. 1000 control of all bio?tech machines and constructs in his body & outside of his body.

Flight CL. 5000
Self-Sustanence

Talents: Bio-Technology Engineering, Leadership.

HISTORY: Tyrant is a being of great power and even greater hungers. His origins are lost to recorded history. Ages ago he forged a vast empire encomposing whole galaxies, ruling with a pitiless hand from a planet-sized fortress. His regime wsa not without its opponents. A race of warrior women, calling themselves the Spinsterhood, arose to resist him and his automated armies. The Spinsters believed themselves responsible for the eventual defeat of the despot, as he retreated into uncharted space. In truth, his advance was halted by a force greater than any the Spinsterhood could muster. The architect of his downfall was Galactus.

Tyrant has returned from his exile only recently, meaning to begin his conquests anew. Already he has met with opposition. Among those who clashed with him were the Silver Surfer, Gladiator, Morg, Terrax, Beta Ray Bill, Jack of Hearts and a revived Spinster. They were overcome easily, yet Tyrant was again forced to withdraw due to the intervention of Galactus. It has become apparent the relationship between the two is more complex and long-standing than suspected. Tyrant holds Morg hostage whose return Galactus wants. There is an uneasy stalemate between them. Nothing more of Tyrant's intentions is known. It can be confectured that as he abides his terrible power can only grow.

Tyrant is capable of using prisoners as living batteries to use their stolen energies to repower his immense fortress. This energy is stored in a containment devise until Tyrant needs it.

Tyrant is acutally a creation of Galactus. He was not content with his lot. Tyrant grew jealous of his creator. He wished to conquer and rule and betrayed Galactus.

Powers: Power Cosmic UN

Electro-Magnetic Manipulation - Light, Magnetism UN
Red Shift can emit and control the energies that make up the Universal Spectrum.

Electro-Magnetism UN
Red Shift can freely generate a force of the energy spectrum at Power rank damage and range. However, the PC also has an innate ability to emit energy of the Spectrum.

Space Manipulation UN
Through the use of this power, Red Shift may warp space around them to their liking. Attempting to charge a hero with this power may find the distances between them and their target increasing inexplicably! He may also use this as a movement power; granting power rank Lightning Speed. Red Shift may shrink space, expand it and wrap it around himself to avoid bullets and other nasty things!

POWER STUNTS

Attack Portals: can open up a special portal into a particularly harmful location. This portal is extremely short lived, remaining open for only about a millisecond or so, but this is enough to inflict power rank damage to the target. The type of damage inflicted depends entirely on the place the attack portal opens up into. For example, a portal that terminates in the sun would emit plasma, causing En damage with the normal carryover damage from light and heat, while a portal leading to the astral plane would eject spectral flame, inflicting Ka damage with every strike.

Defensive Portals: can open up special dimensional portals, portals he can use to shunt the energy of incoming attacks away from himself. Only energy will pass through this portal, not matter, so a defensive portal lined up to absorb blasts of radiation completely shunts the attack, while a hailstorm of bullets will simply drop to the ground in front of the portal, all their kinetic energy spent. Defensive portals provides power rank defense against direct energy attacks, though they are -1 CS against attacks delivered through a physical medium (such as bullets, fists, hammers, etc_). This can also be used to redirect an incoming attack through another portal, allowing the character to hit his attacker or another target with the same attack.

Dimensional Interface: can form their bodies into a one-way portal from some other reality, through which they can channel extra-dimensional energies or materials naturally occurring there. The amount of energy that can be channeled at once is equal to the power rank, inflicting that much damage with each attack. The type of damage done by such attacks depends on what is channeled by this power. For instance, mystic Hellfire channeled from an infernal realm will cause TF So damage to those exposed to it, while spectral flame from out on the astral plane will inflict Ka damage to the target.

As was stated above, matter can also pass through a dimensional interface, with some force. A number of pounds of matter through an interface (with each attack) equal to the power rank number is the maximum amount that can be affected. This matter can be used as a concussive attack against another, inflicting power rank BA or Fo damage, but can also allow passage from the interfaced reality into the character's current universe. This can make the locals angry, mind you (I assure you, no one likes demons on their lawn), and there is then the matter of leftover matter; leaving significant amounts of extra-planar materials around town can cause some big problems in the future.

Gravity Warp: can bend space in odd ways, ways that can alter the flow of the forces of gravity itself. In game terms, he can alter the intensity of gravity relative to either his self or others. This lends itself to a number of neat tricks, some of which are presented here:

Attraction - by boosting the forces of attraction between the character and another object, he can cause both of them to move towards each other. Usually, the lighter object will 'fall' towards the heavier one. For example, using this trick on an opponent's gun can pull it away as if he, in this case, had power rank telekinesis. However, if he uses this stunt on a building, he will similarly fall towards it as if he had been dropped on it from overhead.

Gravity Well - by drastically increasing the gravitational forces generated by a character or an object, he can turn it into a 'magnet' for every object within a number of yards equal to the power rank. Living targets can resist this trick by passing an End (res) FEAT against the power rank. Failure indicates that every object not nailed down within the affected area will 'fall' onto the victim, inflicting a total amount of damage that is determined by what 'falls' onto him.

Immobilization - raising the intensity of a planet's pull of gravity on a body will force a body to pass a Str (lwr) FEAT roll versus the power rank in order to keep moving, or to even keep standing, if the force is strong enough.

Plane Shift - can use this trick to shift the plane of gravity as it applies to objects that are affected by the gravity field that is altered. This trick affects a chunk of space within a number of yards equal to the power rank number. For example, on a planetary body, he can change gravity's pull within an area to make things attracted to it fall sideways or even up. This alters the course of a battle considerably, making things quite interesting in a fight.

Weightlessness - lowering the intensity of gravity doesn't allow a body to fly, per se, but can lessen the difficulty of walking around somewhat; an affected character can walk, run, or leap as if his Str score were +2 CS.

Equipment: Swords
Much like the Silver Surfer uses his board to enhance his hyperspace travel abilities, Red Shift uses his swords to enhance hit to bend space. One sword is red and the other blue, representing how light is perceived over vast distances. When traveling away from us they appear red, while heading toward us look blue. Red Shift uses his swords to create portals, but if used to attack could cause MN (75) damage.

Talents: Energy and Particle Physics - The study of the electromagnetic spectrum of energy and research into new power sources.

Quantum Physics - Research and development into teleportation, wormholes, warp theory and other marvelous ideas. The character can even start off by creating a new specialty field.

Contacts: Galactus.

HISTORY: Red Shift was the next to last Herald of Galactus. He worked for Galactus during the time the cosmic entity was suffering from addiction to life force, and absorbing nothing else. Red Shift met the Silver Surfer in battle, and lost the confrontation inside a black hole.

History: Morg's first appearance and origin are told in The Silver Surfer #70. Silver Surfer #70 reigns in a new era for Galactus's Heralds and begins a dramatic six part epic entitled "The Herald Ordeal". Part 1 begins by revealing Nova has lied to Galactus about finding a planet with adequate sustenance for him to feast upon. Apparently Nova has developed a conscience. Galactus finds the planet Nova was lying about and prepares to devour the life energy. Suddenly Morg, the Court Executioner approaches Galactus ready to stay his mighty hand. Humored by Morg's outrageous boasting Galactus shares his plan to destroy Morg's home world. Morg has no compassion for his world's fate, an attribute that Galactus finds useful. Encasing Morg in a protective shell, Galactus destroys Morg's planet and consumes its energies. Then to Nova's surprise she is released from Galactus's servitude. Realizing his mistakes from the past, Galactus turns toward Morg as his new Herald, believing this fearless, blood thirsty and completely amoral creature will serve him well. As Morg swears his allegiance, Galactus grants Morg the cosmic might to rival his first turncoat Herald, the Silver Surfer... turning him into Morg the Berzerker. The Herald Ordeal is the first time all former Herald's of Galactus are assembled together (except the Destroyer). Even Gabriel is resurrected to do battle with Morg. The series concludes in Silver Surfer #75 with the death of Nova and Morg. In victory Terrax claims Morg's cosmic ax. In contrast, the Silver Surfer mourns the death of his friend and companion Nova.

He was later restored to life by Galactus and set out after Terrax to retrieve his axe. He battled Terrax to the verge of defeat and death before Tyrant's minions attacked them both and captured them as they had "tired themselves out on each other." He was later freed alongside fellow prisoners of Tyrant (Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill, Gladiator, Ganymede, and Terrax) by Jack of Hearts. He battled alongside those fellow prisoners briefly against Tyrant before he re-engaged Terrax in combat. He was then subsequently overwhelmed by Tyrant's minions and kept as prisoner by Tyrant again to prevent a premature confrontation between Galactus and Tyrant since Galactus presumably was not at the top of his game. He was kept for months as prisoner and his waters of life powers seriously depleted and was interrogated by Tyrant in an attempt to subvert his will to that of Tyrant. It was on this occasion that background was put forth. He was reinvigorated with cosmic power by Tyrant who mind controlled him in an attempt to repulse the attack of his fortress by Thanos, Ganymede and Terrax. He battled all and nearly killed each but was stunned by Thanos and inadvertedly freed by Terrax during the battle. Upon the arrival of Captain Marvel III and Jack of Hearts, he returned to Galactus. He later tried to defeat Tyrant, who was attacking Galactus, by using the Ultimate Nullifier. He lost control, however, and they all supposedly were killed by the Ultimate Nullifier. Galactus has since reappeared, showing that he had not died after all. Morg, however, is still presumed dead.

*Nebulon had Monstrous worldwide popularity while head of the Celestial Mind Control Movement.

Powers: Biospheric Energy Manipulation
Nebulon could manipulate the biospheric energy of planets at Unearthly rank. His power stunts included:
-Energy Bolts: Nebulon could project eenergy blasts of Amazing intensity at a range of five areas.

-Defensive Shield: Nebulon could create a protective energy shield at Incredible rank against all attacks.

-Force Bolts: Nebulon could project concussive force bolts at Shift X rank. Nebulon's force bolts had a range of 10 areas.

Shape-shifting: Nebulon had the ability to shape-change at Monstrous Rank into any form. The transformation process was very strenuous, though, requiring an Endurnace FEAT roll to remain conscious, so Nebulon did not undertake it often. Any time Nebulon's Health dropped by more than 50 points in a single combat round, he had to make an Endurance FEAT roll or revert to his normal form.

Teleportation: Nebulon could teleport with Monstrous rank ability for a variety of effects. His power stunts included:
-Teleport Self: Nebulon could teleport anywhere on the surface of a planet.

-Dimensional Travel: Nebulon could travel to alternate worlds in paralell dimensions.

-Teleport Others: Nebulon could transport others either across the planet or across the dimensions with a Psyche FEAT roll.

Weakness: If Nebulon were to go without contact with a bioshpere long enough, his power level would be no more than that of a normal human being.

Real Name: Unknown
Occupation: Prospector, guru, would-be conqueror.
Legal Status: Citizen of Ul'lula
Place of Birth: Planet Ul'lula, Ul system, Milky Way Galaxy.
Marital Status: Married
Known Relatives: Supernalia (wife, deceased)
Base of Operations: Ul'lula, later Earth
Past Group Affiliations: Leader of the Celestial Mind Control movement
Present Group Affiliation: None

Role-playing Notes: Nebulon was a powerful, shape-changing alien initially intent on finding a mineral-rich world for his starving people to exploit. The very survival of his race depended on his success and that of others like him. However, Nebulon fell in with a lot of super criminals and soon forgot the dire straits of his homeworld in pursuit of personal gain. If you want to use Nebulon in your campaign, you will need to come up with an explanation of his "exaggerated death"-but in comics thats not a big problem. A resurrected Nebulon is powerful enough to seriously threaten your heroes and their world. Perhaps he has returned to complete his original mission of trying to make Earth suitable for his race to colonize (see "History"), or maybe he just wants Earth for himself. He could organize a team of lesser villains to support him (this is great for bringing back old, hated enemies of the heroes). His teleportation ability is a built-in escape route. Your heroes finally manage to get Nebulon just were they want him and-BING! He's gone!

History: Nebulon was a member of the alien Ul'lula'ns, a race of six-tentacled, finned, water-breathing non-humanoids, who had begun to deplete the mineral resources of their homeworld. To remedy the situation, the Ul'lula'n High Tribunal dispatched an undisclosed number of prospectors to locate and secure worlds with the appropriate mineral resources forhte race's survival.

Possessing vast bioshere-tapping power and athe ability to assume other forms, Nebulon tool a glistening golden humanoid form when he neared star sytems with humanoid populations. He was not, however, particularly successful at prospecting. Unexpectedly, Nebulon came in contact with the misanthropic Hyperion of the Squadron Sinister, who had been imprisoned by the thunder god Thor in a glass sphere floating in space. Upon rescuing him, Nebulontold Hyperion of his mission.

Hyperion was seeking vengence against the people of Earth for the imagined destruction of his world, and he offered to let Nebulon have Earth. Unaware of the alien's true form, Hyerion directed the Ul'lula'n to Earth to reorganize Hyperion's one-time comrades, the Squadron Sinister. Nebulon wished to take custody of the world with all its land masses completely submerged under water. To effect this, the Squadron members pooled their resources to create a powerful laser canon capable of melting Earth's icecaps. The Squadron member Nighthawk was an unwilling accomplice to the proceedings, however, and took the first opportunity to summon help. Contacting the Defenders, Nighthawk outlined the nature of the crisis and they swiftly traveled to the North Pole to engage the Squadron in battle. In the course of events, Nebulon expended so much energy that he lost control of his humanoid form and allowed his allies and enemies to see his true self- a sight that dismayed even his allies. Nighthawk seized this moment of confusion to train the laser cannon on Nebulon, who seemingly imploded, taking along his three Squadron accomlices.

In actuality, Nebulon displatched himself to the aquatic extradimensional world of Zaar, inhabited by a race of philosophers called the Ludberites. The Ludberites explained to Nebulon the essence of their philosophy-that it is the obligation of higher beings to improve the lot of their inferiors. For unknown reasons, Nebulon took this philosophy to heart, severd his loyalties to his people, and abandoned his original mission to instead save the beings of Earth from their own innate foibles. Returning to Earth, Nebulon assumed a less-imposing human guise than before and started the movement called Celestial Mind Control that Promised to liberate the powers of the human mind but that actually robbed its participants of free will. As Nebulon spread his movement across the world, the Defenders eventually tried to thwart him. In defenses, Nebulon dipatched some of the Defenders to another dimension to prevent their interference. At the same time, the Headmen, a group of renegade scientists, undertook their own scheme to gain worldwide political power. Soon Nebulon and the Headmen found themselves working at cross purposes. After months of effort, the Defenders managed to expose the Headmen's political machinations and to convince Nebulon it was a hopeless task to force humanity to better itself. Nebulon abandoned his mass movement and disappeared.

When the Tribunal of Ul'lula learned of Nebulon's interfearence in Earth culture and abandonment of his mission, it tried and convicted Nebulon for treason against his race. But before he could be taken captive, Nebulon fled into Earth's ocean where he used his shape-changing abilities to assume the form of Lady Dorma, the deceased bride of Sub-Mariner. Convincing the Atlanteans that Dorma had survived, Nebulon used her popularity as wel as his own powers to convince the Atlanteans to attack London. The Defenders then got involved since the Sub-Mariner was one of their original members and uncovered Nebulon's deception. Soon afterwards, an Ul'lila'n starcraft appeared and took custody of Nebulon, who was sentenced to be stripped of half his biospheric power, entrapped within his humanoid form, and exiled on Earth. The Tribunal suggested to Nebulon that he commit suicide, the noble alternative to disgrace according to his culture, but Nebulon flately refused. Learning of Nebulon's dishonor, Nebulon's wife Supernalia traveled to Earth to force him to take the honorable action.

Nebulon had, in the meantime, made his way into the ranks of the Avengers with the hidden goal of using his technology to siphon power from them to replace that which he had lost. Supernalia enlisted the aid of the Defenders, and soon the two teams of champions were manipulated into battle. By the time Nebulon's motives were revealed, the Earth heroes were already being drained of their energies. Supernalia was made to realize that her actions on Earth also constituted a violation of her people's ethics, so she chose to comit suicide. In trying to stop her, Nebulon fell victum to the same energy-draining ray that was killing his wife. As Nebulon died, he admitted that at last he was actiing honorably. The Avengers and Defenders buried the aliens where they died, in the snowy Himalayan mountains.
