History: Darcey Walker grew up in her fathers shadow as a police officer, she was ten when he accidentally killed a local doctor in a hostage situation in a local hospital and had to watch as her father sank further and further into depression.
Darcey Joined the Angel City police force and became a Detective by the age of twenty-eight, she was visiting with her estranged father on her birthday when he was shot and killed by the mind controlled DA of Angel City.
It seemed that the Doctor who had been shot years before had survived and had rebuilt his lungs and body, now trapped inside an armored suit...Using his knowledge of medicine the Doctor was taking over peoples mind and taking away their capacity to breathe.
Darcey angered by the death of her father threatened the DA and was suspended by Internal Affairs, in desperation she became the Black Scorpion to battle against the forces of B.R.E.A.T.H.
