Marvel Saga Contest III!

A new contest begins! The details are found at my buddy Steve's Martyrs and Madmen site, but here are the guidelines, reprinted for your convenience.

MSHAG CONTEST: Adventure Venture

It's your turn to dazzle us with your storytelling abilities. This contest wants to see original adventures, submitted by you. The entire contest starts Tuesday, May 1st at Midnight and ends on Thursday, May 31st at Midnight. That's a month folks. I will not accept entries before or after the dates mentioned above. I will accept entries in any format, but please make them readable. I'd also prefer if you'd email your entries to me.

Here's the rules.  The adventure can be any length and the story can be about anything.  However, it has to be in the Marvel Universe and at least one Marvel character has to appear in it.  Each adventure will be judged on four criteria:  creative story, cool villain, story "flow," and Marvel character continuity.  "Flow" addresses the overall feeling of the adventure.  The last category may need some explanation...  Remember, the adventure MUST include a Marvel character.  We'll be checking that the character follows current Marvel continuity.

The prizes for the contest, generously donated by our pals at Wizards of the Coast, are as follows:

  • The Fantastic Four Roster Book
  • The X-Men Adventure Book
  • The Guide to Marvel Earth
  • Fate Deck
The first place winner gets first pick, the second gets second, and the third place winner gets a set of the promo cards. If any winner decides to forego any of the prizes, they can opt to put them back into the prize pot for others to win.
