Calling: Vengeance Personality: Very quiet, efficient on the job.
History: The boy who would become Bengal fled from a nasty crossfire that destroyed his
village in Vietnam. In desperation, he lept onto the landing struts of a U.S. helicopter. However, a
shellshocked trooper named Michael Janes shoved him from the chopper, presumably to his death in
the jungle below. The boy survived, however, and eventually became a master assassin under the
name of Bengal. He hunted down the servicemen who had been on the helicopter, badly wounding
William Talltrees (the costumed adventurer known as Red Wolf) and eventually finding Janes himself.
Janes had been courtmartialed and spent 15 years in prison. When he was released, he became a priest
in an attempt to find forgiveness. After trying to kill Janes, Bengal and the priest worked out their
differences with the help of the Punisher and Night Thrasher.
Using Bengal in Your Game: Bengal is presumably still plying his trade as an assassin. He
could be hired to kill a hero or supporting character. More interestingly, he could come up against
Deathstroke or Smiling
Tiger on a job with your characters caught in the middle.
