Instructions: Option a: Do whatever you want with this, its your world and I won't tell you what to do. Option b: These zip files contains 27 maps and a core rules xpt file with related encounters. Nine maps in each file, with the xpt file in the first crypt zip file. Those maps with a filename of cryptl## are relatively low level, those maps with a filename of crypth## are relatively high level. On each map is a text name of the crypt. The encounter files with that name are the ones associated with the crypt map. Each map has a legend telling you what symbols are used for what. Each map has two parts, an entry structure above ground, located in the lower right hand corner of the map, and a below ground structure, with the point of entry from the above ground area marked entry. The entry structure above ground is usually dressed up with altars, statues, etc. the entry is a trapdoor or pit with a ladder somewhere in the structure. Normally one encounter file goes with each map. Two of the maps have special vampire files associated with them. Those encounter files contain vampires rolled up as npc's, with spells etc. Each encounter file contains a list of monsters. Each monster group in the list, i.e. gibberlings, skeletons, zombies, etc. are represented by an individual symbol on the crypt map. Read the list of encounters, look at where the monster symbols are on the map and right on your printout the location you want that monster in. The encounter files also contain lists of traps rolled up as monsters. Do the same. Ignore the chambers, they are on the map. Option c: rolling your own crypts. The crypt encounter template which is probably included in the zip file rolls up a list of monsters, chambers, and traps for a crypt. Draw a map of the crypt with roughly the chambers rolled up, and assign the monsters and traps as you feel appropriate. Then be nice and put your work on the web for other dm's to use. I lied to the core rules software and told it chambers and traps were monsters to get it to roll up some randomly to provide a start for inspiring a new crypt when the imagination is not sparking at the moment.
